The Kingdoms of Pandora

Duo nodded, he looked up at Alexia as she began her assault on the rising air ships, "Be careful Alexia...". Balis crawled up Duo's shoulders, looking at his master, and he nodded. It was Duo's turn, he launched himself into the air with lightning, several stories in the air, Duo released an orb of lightning, it flew forward and exploded, sending out a huge shockwave of lightning. The shockwave rippled through the air ships, causing many of them to malfunction, and fall from the sky. Duo stayed in the air, standing on a column of lightning. He shot lightning bolt after lightning bolt at every ship that rose from the ground, Duo looked his odds, his lightning magic had a great advantage, messing with the inner workings that made the enemy'stechnology work.

 

Behind Duo rose an air ship that had begun to fire some sort of artillery, "What are those things? Balis, take 'em down!" Duo threw Balis at the projectiles that the ship had fired, Balis flew to the closest one and bit into it, ripping a chunk of metal from it, causing it to explode, this hardly bothered Balis, the lightning cloaked around him protected him from it. Balis flew to each missile and destroyed each one, flying back to Duo after the last one was dealt with. Duo raised his hand, calling upon a large bolt of thunder, it struck his finger as he absorbed it, he pointed his finger at the airship and fired a powerful thunder beam at the ship. The beam ripped through the hull of the ship, it must of hit something important because the ship went up in a fiery explosion.

Sync, deciding it would be better for him to stay in the North Kingdom, had to deal with Lucia himself. It was not going well for Sync.

"Heh. I don't want to kill you, Sync. You're too valuable." Lucia said with a wry grin, charging.

"No, I won't help you- not anymore. Not after what I've learned. Not after what you made me do." Sync replied, parrying Lucia's strike.

"Hah! It's the Kingdoms that destroyed us! That's why we want revenge!" Lucia raised his sword in some sort of triumphant stance. SYnc attempted to take Lucia's temporary distraction to an advantage, by Lucia easily blocked.

"It's funny to see that you got rid of your visor. Sad, it would have been useful when we invaded here." Lucia snapped his finger, and out came Shucia.

 

Sync stepped back.

"What do you mean, useful?" Sync stammered, and both enemies stepped forward.

"Oh you know, it would have been easier then, but I guess we'll have to do it now." Shucia said,

"We were going to control you, Sync. That visor, that 'gift' you so treasured was to have you obidient. But we'll just have to do it tha hard way."

Namki and Noah clashed weapons once again.'' Hmph. Will you look at that? I didn't think the East Kingdom had warriors like that, but it doesn't mean a thing.'' Namki said as a man in a brown coat flew in from the sky and kicked Alexia into the face and killed a East warrior at the sametime.'' Sorry~ We have orders to kill you all~'' said the figure.'' Aw~ Where's my manners?~ I forgot to show myself~'' said the figure as it took off it's hood. It was a girl with long pink hair, light blue eyes, a crown on her head which looked high-tech, and she had a pair of daggers in her hand.'' Name's Cleia~ I'll be your oppenent~'' she said as Noah got cut by the scythe.'' Your weak. I thought the prince from the South Kingdom would be more stron-'' said Namki as something cut his face. Noah stood behind him. He turned as his left eye was blood shot red and his left arm was in it's demon form.'' I've learn how to control it thanks to the elders. Now, shall we begin round two?'' Noah said as a wing pop from his back.

 

Shucia and Lucia stared at Sync. Zeta stood beside him.'' These guys don't look so tough.'' she said.'' Oh. I wouldn't say anything Princess. Your father already fell to my hands.'' Shucia said as he smiled. Zeta was shocked.'' Impossible. There's no way!'' she said arming two bows in her arrow.'' Oh it is. And you wanna know something else. Me and Lucia are just foot soldiers. Not even commanders.'' he said. He turned and started walking.'' I'm gonna tell Musica and Lex to keep destroying-'' he said as an arrow cut his face. Zeta stood there behind with tears down her face.'' Not until you go through me.'' she said as she was pissed. Lucia turned and faced Sync.'' We gave you a chance to come back with us, but I guess your not. It was to bad. His Majesty really liked you.'' Lucia said as he then had his sword turn into a double sided blade.'' Shall we begin?'' asked Lucia as he rushed to Sync as Shucia pulled his sword out against Zeta. A war has started.

Sync flew back a few feet, trying to give himself room from Lucia. Sync charged his armlet, firing a salvo of fireballs at Lucia. Lucia meerly smirked, and the fire did nothing to him. "Heh. I would think you would know Thermal Shielding when you saw it, Sync." Lucia said, adding some tension in Sync's name.

Sync groweled. He charged his spear with the same lightning, then threw it. The tip lodging into Lucia's shoulder. Lucia gasped with pain.

 

"Hmph. Seems you've still got it, Sync." Lucia ripped out Sync's spear, destroying the prismatic weapon. Sync raised his weapon-armlet, and summoned a longsword. He charged and parried with Lucia.

Alexia stood back up and stared at the girl. "Cleia? Alright..."Alexia says as she held her staff which was glowing brightly. She saw Cleia attack towars her with her daggers. Alexia blocked with her staff and she jumped back. "Centrals or not,no one messes with my Kingdom!"Alexia says in a very serious voice. All of her energy was being poured into power. This meant that her power had increased,but her stamina remained the same as ever. Alexia stared at the girl and spun her staff. "I'm not afraid of you,or your weapons. You're not allowed in my Kingdom!"Alexia says as she rose her staff and crystals appeared all around her. She swung her staff and the crystals went flying directly towards the girl. She then got her staff on her shoulder and pointed directly at the girl and shot a direct beam straight at her. "I won't let you get away with this."Alexia says. She turned and saw the ships shooting at her. Alexia made a shield around her and sent flying crystals at the ships as she focused on the girl at the same time.

Duo was shooting down ship after ship with ease, he raised both hands and shot a lightning bolt into the sky. Storm clouds brewed, the winds raged, rain began to pour down in floods. Lightning bolts struck down from the storm clouds sporadically, striking here and there without warning.

 

Balis hissed at something on the ground, Duo turned to look at what caught the lizards attention, it was Alexia fighting another Central, "Don't worry Balis, she'll be fine," he reassured his familiar, but Balis hissed and jumped off Duo's shoulders, "Damnit! Balis what are you doing?!" without being imbued with Duo's lightning, Balis would plummet like a rock and splatter on the ground. Duo jumped down and followed the lizard, the fall was a lot shorter than expected, he grabbed Balis and blasted thunder from his legs to slow his fall, and landed with a soft impact on the rain soaked ground. Alexia was nearby, she was busy shielding herself against an air ship that was lucky enough not to get hit by Duo's storm. The Central was attacking, Alexia was wide open, Duo snapped his fingers and trapped the Central in four panels of his Thunder Glass.

'' Oh~ Lightning. So perfect~'' Cleia said as she then stabed her daggers in two panels. They were then absorbed into them.'' I have the power of the elements!'' She said as she stabed the ground and lightning was the shot towards them with water infused with it. She then clap her hands together. More ships started appearing in the sky. A man in a brown coat was standing on top of the biggest one. He rose his hand as missiles started coming out and hitting the kingdom. Noah and Namki clashed blades over and over.'' You know Shucia right?'' asked Namki as Noah dodged a scythe slash.'' Yeah. Why? Isn't he the leader?'' asked Noah as they clashed blades.'' Wrong. Were just foot soldiers. Everyone attacking. Were getting rid of the East and North.'' Namki said as Noah dodged another attack.'' Then who's leading ya?'' Noah asked.'' Isn't that an easy answer. It's him and only him.'' Namki said as he and Cleia got next to each other.'' Time we show them what we Centrals can really do.'' Namki said as he then had his scythe go away. He took off his golve. There was the central symbol but light surrond him. Cleia did the same. Cleia came on out of it as she had long white angel robtic wings, Her daggers were longer and sharper, and she had longer hair, white eyes, and she had white big boots on. Namki came out looking the same, only had two giant scythes.'' Time for the second round.'' he said. Noah stared and grabbed his blade.'' We can't win.'' Noah said.

Alexia saw the electrified water come straight at her. She quickly pulled up a forcefield but the water got her and sent a massive shcok through her body. Alexia yelled in pain and fell on one knee as smoke could be seen coming from her skin. She shook as she still had startic running through. She stood up and looked up at the enemies. They were hitting them with all they've got. Alexia looked around. The Kingdom was becoming nothing. The water was either being dried up or coming out of its causes and only causing more damage. People and soldiers alike were dying. The buildings were falling appart. What she once called home was becoming hell. "No..."Alexia says. "We can't win."Noah said. Alexia shook her head. "No no no."Alexia says. Her staff glew brightly and shook like crazy. Alexia opened her eyes as they were nothing but glowing yellow. She looked up at the biggest ship and glared as some glowing tears fell down her face. She rose her staff and roared as suddenly a yellow aura sorrounded her. Missiles went straight down at the Kingdom. Alexia rose her staff and suddenly the missles stopped. This was taking all of her power and concentration,but it was all she had left to give for,it was the last chance for her to try to defend her home. She swung her staff and the missles spun and went straight back at the ships,taking a few of them down in flames and explotions. Alexia then sent flying cristals and spikes over at the enemies. She then pulled out her final move. She rose her staff as it cracked slightly,showing that she was going way over her limit. The aura took shape of an eagle. "TAKE THIS!!!"Alexia roared as she giant aura eagle directly towards the ship.

Lucia grinned, and did a quick blow to Sync's wrist. Sync's blade clattered to the ground, Sync holding his hand in pain.

"Hmph. But it's still not enough, Sync. I'm surprised that the King actually held a liking to you." Lucia's grin became a smirk, an Lucia raised his own sword.

"But, sadly, your existence is no longer of value. Seeing how controlling you isn't an option, my order is to know..ah, what was it? Oh, yes. Kill you." Lucia sent his blade down, forcing it into the lower part of Sync's abadomen. Sync began to bleed heavily.

Lucia raised his blade once more, the double-edges ready to take another toll. Sync stood up, in defiance.

"No." Sync said, leaping towards Lucia. Lucia, surprised by the turn of events, was helpless as Sync grabbed his head. The armlet that controlled fire grew hot, and sent out a blast right into Lucia's face.

Lucia yelled in pain as he removed his golve and he then had the wings and boots appeared as he had two doubled sided blades.'' You can't beat me'' Lucia said as he then slashed Sync's chest. He heard some noise behind him. He saw Shucia in his normal form with Zeta wounded against the wall.'' Lucia, finish up so we can leave. This Kingdom is done for.'' he said as he and Lucia then crashed through a window. He had his rockets turn on and flew away as ships flew over the kingdom and it in ruins as the North has been defeated. Shucia smiled.'' Alexia and Noah. I'm coming for ya.'' he said as he flew faster.

 

Noah clashed blades with Namki.'' You even said you couldn't defeat us. Guess we have to show it the hard way.'' He said as he then slashed Noah on the chest with the other scythe. Noah coughed up blood as he feel on the ground. Cleia then looked at Namki.'' It's over. Time to head out.'' She said as she flew away. Namki did the same. The ships then retreated as the brown coated figure looked at Alexia as they flew away. Noah layed there wounded as they did not win the first battle. They lost it very badily. Shucia stood over them.'' Not now.'' He said as he flew away. He saw Lucia catch up.'' Come on. Time to think of the next battle.'' Shucia said as he flew with Lucia, Namki, Cleia, and two other brown coated figures.

Is this it? Duo thought, is this the last days of my Kingdom? Can we really not win? Duo was thrown back by the electrified torrential tide, he had almost given up hope, when deep down, something welled up within him, something that kept him pushing for forward. Duo needed more power, he needed the last thing he ever wanted to pull out. He created a transparent bubble of lightning, something could be seen inside of it, but it was blurry. The bubble popped and a bag fell into Duo's hands, he reached in and pulled out a book, the cover was ornately designed with electric blue sapphires and gilded with silver.

 

He turned to Cleia, "This, is the Maelstrom Grimoire, this one book holds all the secrets to the magic of thunder, lightning and storms," Duo opened the book, the vast amount of magic bound within the pages burst out in a sparking electrified shockwave. The storm Duo conjured had become more violent, now the lightning strikes were actively seeking out any and all off the air ships.

 

Duo read from the grimoire, speaking an old runic language. A heavenly thunder bolt the shined like daybreak through the stormclouds stuck Duo. his eyes gleamed like sapphires, and he attacked Cleia, chanting runes and ancient spells. Spears of lightning were dropped onto her, serpents and birds and other creatures were conjured out of thunder to attack. Duo spoke two more words from the book, "Thesidai Golimere!" these were the runic words for 'thunder' and 'golem'. A huge lightning bolt struck behind him, and from the ground rose a humanoid figure composed of lightning. As she tried to run off, Duo sent the thunder golem chasing after her, "I'll not let you get away!!"

After a few minutes the Centrals were gone. Alexia lowered her staff and calmed down. She blinked as her eyes turned to normal. She looked around. The entire East Kingdom,atleast the main capital,was in complete ruins. The buildinsg were in pieces,the castle was half destroyed. The rivers and waterfalls were out of place. The stench of blood,huminity,charkoal,smoke,death,everything was just destroyed and in pieces. Alexia looked around. "No..."Alexia says. She saw as people were trying to help eachother out. Alexia then started to walk around and saw the Sanctuary in pieces. Her eyes watered. She then saw the Elder's place all in ruins. "No!"Alexia says as she ran to the rubble. She pushed off some rocks. Some of them were dead. She got more rubble off and found her teacher. "No..."Alexia says as she helped her out of the rubble. She had many injuries. The people started to run and help eachother out. The teacher looked up and Alexia helped her up. "This are troubleling times...the Centrals have rose from hiding...and have seen revenge upon the Kingdoms."The teacher says. She sighed. "We should of expected this to happen sooner or later." "What can we do...?"Alexia asks. The teacher shook her head slightly. "I dunno child."The teacher says. Alexia letted go of the elder as she could stand on her own. She then looked at her cracked staff. "(I might have over did it...)"Alexia thinks as she felt so helpless.

Sync stepped back, in a recoil from the slashes against his chest. He collapsed onto his knees, bleeding much more heavily know. Even the robes he wore couldn't do much against Lucia's blades. Sync looked up to see Zeta, similar in wounds, and laying against a wall.

"If I could just reach my things..." Sync said, crawling over to reach his sack. Sync hurriedly rummaged through it, trying to locate the nanite-cream. He realized he had dropped the tin when Lucia had arrived. Sync looked around, spotting the damaged tin near some flaming rubble.

Sync craweled his way to the tin, barely making it there. He held the tin, ripping the top of and quickly rubbing his wounds with the medicine.

But Sync doubled-over as the medicine made a burning sensation. Sync weakly threw the tin to Zeta, hoping it would reach her.

Shucia, Lucia, Namki. Cleia, and the two hooded figures landed in the central kingdom.'' Ah. It feels good to be back.'' Shucia said as he and others walked around.'' What nest?~'' Asked Cleia as she crushed a piece of rock that was left from the golem.'' We must regroup with his majesty.'' Shucia said as he saw a man with long white hair, a X scar between eyes, yellow eyes, white shirt, black jacket, blue jeans, two guns on his tighs, and a sword on his waist.'' Ya are late.'' said the man.'' Sorry Crow. Didn't know we would take that long. Ran into trouble.'' Shucia said.'' Are they dead?'' Crow asked.'' Amos is dead, Zeta is dying. You should ask Namki and Cleia if the king and princess are dead from the East.'' Shuia said.'' Are they?''asked Crow. Cleia looked at him.'' No sir. We couldn't locate them. The queen must have been hiding and the princess too.'' Cleia said.'' Doesn't matter. We're launching our next assualt in a matter of hours.'' Crow said walking away.

 

Noah's wounds were being healed by a East doctor. He saw Alexia across from him who looked depressed as she was being healed.'' Alexia. You shouldn't feel this way. This is war. You must bear the losses were going to encounter. If you don't, then you will die in battle. I haven't heard anything from Zeta or Amos. I'm fearing their gone, but this isn't over.'' Noah said making a fist as he looked at Duo and her.'' Ya must feel it too. Even if we fight, I don't think we have a chance to defeat them. If what we just faught were just foot soldiers, then how strong are the higher ups?'' Asked Noah as he looked down.

 

Zeta woke up and grabbed it and started putting it on her wounds.'' Sync. We must find surivors and my dad.'' Zeta said as she stood up and helped Sync up.'' We can't defeat them. I think you know it too. I guess their trying to wipe out kingdom by kingdom so they don't join forces and defeat them like 18 years ago.'' Zeta said as she walked to the door and opened it. She was shocked at what she saw. Nothing but ruins. She fell on her knees as she saw her dad's burned.'' I guess I'm queen...'' Zeta said crying.

Alexia looked down as she held her staff. "I don't know..."Alexia says. She looked up and saw some soldiers walk by. Alexia stared at them. "Have you found the Royal family yet?"Alexia asks. They shook their heads. "Negative,we're looking around. We are hoping that they are still alive."The soldiers says. Alexia noded as the soldiers walked away. Alexia looked down and some tears fell down her face. "We are suffering what our ancestors deserved. But they're just so ruthless...if this was only one attack...what will be the actual thing?!"Alexia asks very shaky and worried of what would happen next. Right now all they had to ask foward is the King and Queens of the Kingdoms. They are the ones to give in the orders. But so far,they couldn't even find their own,and everyone was simply scared and shaken. "what will be our next move exactly?"Alexia asks as she held her staff tightly.

Sync gazed out into the ruins of the North Kingdom, and sighed as Zeta began to cry. "True enough." He said, "I had always been told...that it was the other four Kingdoms that caused the distruction of the Central." Sync paused, and sighed again.

"But I see now. My life- it's a lie. I used that visor to hide from reality, which cloaked me from the truth." Sync tore off his armlets, his wrists feeling the air. Sync tossed each armlet into a nearby fire, allowing the material to burn and explode as some form of magical rune exploded. Sync turned to Zeta.

"I can no longer accept the Central Kingdom as my home. Not after this." Sync walked over to Zeta, and gave her a small hug. A comforting notion Sync most likely had never done. "I'm going to change, Zeta. I will try and help you with this- and find out who I really am along the way." Sync walked off, picking up a fallen soldier's sword. he took it's sheath and wrapped it around his waist.

They had gotten away, Duo looked around, his home was destroyed, he couldn't believe it, his home was gone. He looked around for Balis, he was with Alexia, she was mourning the loss of the entire Kingdom, there were almost no survivors.

 

Duo studied his Grimoire, something in him was urging him for more power, he never really looked in the book before, so he wanted to familiarize himself with it, and learn the secrets that it held. Duo walked back to Alexia and Noah, "How's everyone holding up?" Duo asked, referring to the few survivors

Alexia looked up at Duo. "Good but...not so good you can say."Alexia says. She stared at him. "Are you alright though? You were hurt,and Balis,is he alright too?"Alexia asks. She smiles and chuckled slightly. "Gues...we're gonna have to figt till the death aren't we?"Alexia asks. She looked up at her staff. "It has started to break. I over used my energy and I have went over my limit...If I go iver my limit again,it shall shatter into pieces...if that happens...I don't know what I will do. Since I am used to do all my magic along with my staff."Alexia says. She chuckled a bit and then had some tears fall. She tried to act brave infront of people. But on the inside she was torned appart,especially to see the kingdom in this kind of state of disaster. She wanted to just collapse. But she didn't wanted to show it.

Noah clapped his hands together. He started thinking. He then felt something stir inside him.'' Hello Noah. I'm your demon.'' It said.' What do you want with me now?' thought Noah.''Your going to need my help big time if you want to defeat these Centrals. Zeta is still alive. Along with Sync, but she's queen now. As for Alexia. The reason they want her is because she's special like you Noah and Zeta. Allow me to tell you a prophecy that was told after the battle of the four sons and Central. The fallen shall rise, with new unbeatable power, but the four silblings shall gather and with their combine power, shall destroy the rising fallen. Noah, you and Zeta, maybe Alexia, and the West silbing, are destined to destroy the centrals.'' said Noah's demon.' If that's true. Then we must gather them.' thought Noah. Noah standed up.'' Guys, we need to go to the West Kingdom. Chances their going to attack there next. The South can hold up thanks to my mom. She and my dad are going to gather their forces to fight. So, we must go to the West. One, to help to defend, and get their prince or princess.'' Noah said as he grabbed his blade.'' Who's with me?'' Noah asked.

 

Zeta then sobbed and standed up. She grabbed a bag of arrows. She looked around and saw her Father bow.'' Father..'' she said as she picked it up. It was long and metal.'' The Scared Bow. One of the four scared treasures on the Kingdoms. I shall use it.'' Sync! We must go to the West Kingdom. I'm having a feeling we are going to be needed to go there.'' Zeta said as she saw some flowers. She grabbed them and put them in front of her father's ruined yet still standing statue.'' Farwell Father. I'm leaving as a Princess, but I'll return as a Queen and rebuild the Kingdom.'' Zeta said as she grabbed a sword.'' Not my style, but I'm going to need it when I run out of Arrows.'' She said as she waited on Sync.

Aleixa looked up and stared. She stood up and set her staff down. "Oh yes. The West Kingdom. I had almost forgotten. I wonder how they're doing after the attacks. Hopefully they aren't as bad as here..."Alexia says as she looked around. She then looked up and stared at Noah. "But what about the East Kingdom?We can't leave it like this. We need to help out. We haven't even found the Royal Family yet. Heavens knows if they're still alive after the castle collapsing like that."Alexia says. "We will be alright,Alexia,Duo." Alxia turned to see the elder walk up. "Teacher?"Alexia asks. The elder stared at them. "Even though we have lost many. We can still deal with. We will heal the injured,and look for the missing. We will clean up and pray before getting ready incase of another attack. All of you on the other hand,need to accomplish your mission. Besides. The West will need all the help they can get as well."The elder says. Alexia stared and noded. "Yes teacher."Alexia says. The elder smiled slightly. Alexia noded and turned to Duo. "What do you say,Duo?"

"If we do, it'll take a while. We'd have to avoid the center of the Four Kingdoms, where the Central Kingdom lies," Duo warned, "We should leave as soon as possible if we want to get therebefore the Centrals attack again"

 

Duo looked at Alexia's staff, the crack in the shaft didn't look too serious, but any over exertion of her power might make it worse, "A seal should help with that crack," Duo offered, "I'm not so good with seals, but the Elder should know a good spell to fix it or keep it from breaking,"

Alexia looked up at Duo and then back at her staff. She looked over at the elder. "Teacher,what do you say?Do you think a seal could fix my staff?"Alexia asks. The elder stared and thought for a while. "To fully fix a staff is a whole other process. But yes. A seal should help."The elder says. She looked through her roms and found a piece of paper. She got it around the staff's crack. The elder chanted something and the paper melted away and a symbol of a sun appeared on the crack. "There. That should do. Make sure you don't over do your power,if the seal breaks the crack could worsen and your weapon could break,you don't want that happen in battle. You're not used to use magic without the staff,and you can have difficulty in managing it."The elder says. Alexia noded. "Very well. Thank you."Alexia says as she gave a small bow.

Sync slapped the sword into his new sheath.

"The West Kingdom? Isn't that where the monks and martial artists reside?" Sync asked. Sync's eyes had become slightly brighter, the green eyes showing some new courage that Sync only recently gained. Sync frowned, contemplating.

"I can't really see Central's strategy. It's mostly spread out and surprise. First here, then East, and I guess West is next. Unless thy already attacked at once, then we're probably screwed."

Duo's first teleporting spell didn't go very well, it wasn't complete yet, getting Alexia and himself here with it in one piece was a miracle in itself. Duo looked through the pages of the grimoire, seeing if there was a better spell he could use to get everyone to the West Kingdom faster. Duo could read a majority of the pages, but he still had trouble with some of them. He looked to Balis, "I don't suppose you know how to read the ancient runic language, do you?" he asked the lizard, who only hissed as he shook his head.
