I have finally got you cornered Alexia.'' the man said he then pull his sleeve down as a switch blade appeared from his hand and he rushed towards Alexia, who blocked with her staff.'' Seems your pretty skill, not bad from a child.'' the man said as he then jumped in the air as Noah tried to cut him. The man then hit the roof of the tent as he saw Duo attack with lightning.'' Sorry. Saw how that works.'' he said as he just did a spin between him and Alexia causing them to find back. He clashed blades with Noah making him being forced out of the tent.'' I wasn't even coming for you Noah.'' the man said.'' What are you talking about?'' Noah said as they stood their locked in combat.'' Oh please. I know who you really are child of-'' the man was then interrupetted as Zeta fired a few arrows. He then jumped in the air. He had rockets coming out of his shoes.'' Your not getting away!''yelled Noah as contacted. He then flew in the air with wings on his back.'' I don't think so!''yelled Noah as his eyes were dead shot red as he was chasing the man. He then threw his blade hitting the hood causing it being riped away. He then kicked Noah to the ground. Noah's wings disappeared and his eyes returned to normal as the man's hood covered half his face. He had white hair, a red symbol under his right eye as the right side was torn off. The man had silver eyes as he had a smile as he flew away. Noah landed on the ground as everyone was rushing towards him.'' Brother....why?'' was all Noah said as he passed out.

Duo heard the stranger speak. He quickly stood up and turned to the man, who was already rushing at Alexia. His blade clashed against her staff. In a rush, Duo shot a thunder beam at him, aiming as best he could with his one good eye, the other still blind.

 

Duo rushed outside with the others and saw him take off, some sort of rockets in his feet propelling him upward. He also saw Noah fall from the sky, only recently having wings. Duo looked up again the stranger escaping to the sky. Duo focused, Balis sensed his master gathering energy and came to his side, climbing into his right arm. "Go get'em Balis!" he shouted before launching Balis into the sky after him.

 

Balis was cloaked in lightning, he hissed as he rocketed to the man. He flew up faster than him, and latched onto his back, feeding lightning into him. After about struggle he put up, Balis flipped him over and flew back to the earth as a large lightning bolt, enveloping the stranger in lightning as well. He reached the ground, hitting it with a hard landing, but was other wise okay. Balis climbed back into his master's shoulders. The stranger was cracking with excess electricity, and paralyzed.

Alexia stood there shaking slightly. She was just startled of what had just happened. She held her staff. "Don't worry." Alexia looked up and looked around. She then breathed and looked at Duo. "Are you alright?"Alexia asks. She then turned to Noah who was lying on the ground. "Oh no Noah."Alexia says. She hurried over to Noah and knelt down. She rose her staff and it started to glow brightly. Then Noah started to glow. Any outside injury should of heal. But it wasn't very sure. Atleast Alexia wasn't very sure. She shook slightly. "What just happened?Who was that?What did he wanted with us?"Alexia asks as he looked at everyone as he healed Noah. She then looked over at Duo. "Duo,how is your eye feeling?Maybe I need to work on it a bit longer?"Alexia asks as she turned her attention to Noah again and healed his outside injuries. "(What happened...who was that man?What did he wanted with me? ...hearts?)"Alexia thinks as he held her staff,

The man landed on a tree outside of the arena as the clone disappeared.'' Damn it. Didn't execpt heavy fighting. Glad I got out of there alive.'' the man said as he ripped off the rest of his hood showing the rest of his white hair. The red mark under his right eye was in shape of a rose.'' Noah, I am just using this body as a vessel.'' the man said as he had the rockets activate on his boots and he flew away.

 

Noah woke up as he was in his tent with Zeta.'' You must be glad that you have that monster inside you.'' Zeta said as she was sitting in front of Noah.'' This monster. Just because I'm the son of the Demon queen doesn't mean a thing right?'' Noah asked.'' It's our family serect so becareful who you tell. Also, that man wasn't your brother.'' Zeta,'' But, his face and the way he fights.'' Noah said.'' It's not him. It's someone else. I sensed something else coming from him. Now, lets get some sleep. We start round 2 tomorrow.'' Zeta as she layed and fell asleep. Noah did the samething as a paired of yellow eyes appeared in the darkness.

Duo looked at the person on the ground. He seemed unconscious whenhe suddenly faded. Duo looked with surprise, "Just a clone," he looked at the sky, "who was that person?" he said, taking to himself. Balis was on his shoulders, while his matter was deep in thought, the familiar its eyes on Noah and Zeta. Duo couldn't hear their conversation, and while neither could Balis, the lizard was interested in them, of only through pure instinct, Balis could tell they knew something. Balis stared, Noah looked at the lizard, meeting the familiar's gaze.

 

They only held this gaze for a second, because Duo began to walk back onto the tent, "Noah Alexia, are you guys okay?" he asked. Alexia gave, as did Noah, he inside the tent and laid down to rest, "If this eye doesn't get any better, is gonna be a tough match tomorrow,"

Alexia stared outside for a few minutes to clear up her mind a bit. She looked around the woods. She didn't see anyone else there. Alexia stared with somewhat tired eyes. "That was scary."Alexia says. She then hugged her staff slightly. "(That feeling again. It was cold and souless...what is going on here?)"Alexia thinks. She then shook her head slightly and walked back inside the tent. She walked over to her bed and layed down. She stared at Duo. "I'm sorry I couldn't do much to your eye. Medicine magic has never been my true forte,so sorry..."Alexia says. She then stretched and turned,hugging her staff while at it. "Well,you have another match tommorow,you need rest. Night night Duo."Alexia says. She then clapped her hands and the lights turned out as Alexia fell asleep.

The night seemed to pass really fast as a chicken started making noise giving it sign it's morning. Noah woke up as the sunlight beams ran through the tent. He stood up as he saw Zeta already woke up. Noah got dressed and walked outside and he saw the next fights already up.

Noah stared as he was facing a kid from the East Kingdom.'' Great. Magic.'' Noah said as he grabbed his blade.'' I'm next after Duo fights that Rose chick. I hope he doesn't get hurt like I did.'' Noah said as he walked into the cafeteria. He saw some Judges and the other fighters.'' Huh. Alexia and Duo aren't up yet.'' Noah said to himself as he grabbed some breakfast and started eating. He then held his head.'' Damn it...I shouldn't have used it last night...calm down until my fight..'' Noah said as one of his eyes turned blood shot red.

Zeta stood on top of the Areana as she already saw who she was gonna fight. In front of was a North warrior.'' King Amos is requesting your present Princess Zeta.'' the warrior said.'' Damn it. Father calls at bad times always. Noah, you better control until I come back.'' Zeta said as she jumped into the kingdom.

Sync, was unable to reach the others. Before night came, a guard refused to give Sync entrance to the Infirmary, and then a fight broke out an Sync was forced back to the area for the Southern Fighters. In the morning, however, he made it over to where food was being served for the contestants. Sync notcied they were calling out the next round of fighters.

 

"Ginjo?" Sync thought, "Sounds like a Western person." Sync shuddered. He felt he had little chance against a person with that kind of training. Sure enough, Sync knew Ginjo when he saw him. Ginjo was tall, and gave off the persona of a monk that trained hard and long. Ginjo was old, most likely in his late 40s or 50s. Sync shook his head, trying to throw off the tension.

Duo eventually woke up. Noah and Zeta already up, he looked around for Balis, who was sleeping at the foot of his bed, but was now gone. "Oh, there you are," he said, Balis was curled up against Alexia, both still asleep, "You've really come to like her huh," Duo decided to leave Balis where he was, not wanting to disturb the lizard from its peaceful sleep, and because he thought it might be funny when she wakes up with a lizard.

 

Duo's eye was still no better, he wrapped a bandage around it, making a crude eye patch. "How's the eye?" said a voice, Duo turned and saw Rose behind him, "Have you checked today's match-ups?" Duo looked and couldn't tell if this was bad luck or good luck. He was facing Rose this round.

Alexia slept while holding onto her staff slightly. After about 30 minutes straight of the chicken making noises. Alexia picked her staff and pointed to the exit of the tent. It glew brightly as it shot a bright beam of light towards outside the tent and at the chicken. It hit the chicken slightly,making it to freak and run around in circles. Alexia opened her eyes a bit. "Shut up..."Alexia muttered,reffering to the chicken. She then stretched while still lying down and stared at her staff. "Morning."Alexia says. She saw it glow in respond. Alexia then satted up a bit and turned to the side to see Balis curled up next to her. Alexia stared and blinked a few times. "Why hello there. What you doing here fella?"Alexia asks as she slightly rubbed Balis' head. She then looked around to see Duo wasn't around. "His match must be starting soon. Better get up. Those matches are pretty fun."Alexia says. She got off the bed from one of the sides and then stood up. She walked over to Balis' side and poked mil slightly. "Wake up Balis. We don't wanna miss the matches."Alexia says.

Noah was sitting in the locker rooms waiting for his match to start. He held his head as his left eye was blood shot red and his right eye was half blood shot red.'' Argh..I can't have it settle down..Where are you Zeta..'' Noah said as he held his head. He heard some noise as the first match was going start soon.'' Duo..you need to beat her fast..'' Noah said as he then got a pair of sunglasses on.'' Let's hope no one notices.'' said Noah as he stood up and walked outside to where everyone was sitting. He saw Alexia sitting down. Noah took his next to her. He looked as Rose entered the arena.' Hope Duo can win.' Noah thought as he held his head. Through the glasses. His right eye was almost completely blood shot red, but it went down a bit.' Please stop. Calm down' Noah throught as he heard a voice.' You can't fight it. Just give in before your soul breaks.' said the voice. Noah looked down.

It was about time for Duo's match to start. He walked out to the arena, adjusting the bandage over his eye. He took his place on the arena, and waited for the announcer to start the match. He heard the booming cheers of the crowd, some shouting his name, others shouting Rose.

 

Rose glared at him from across the arena. She was from the East Kingdom, but she didn't look like she was. She wore exotic clothing, an expensive silk kimono, and tied her hair on an oriental fashion. From what he could gather on their first meeting, she used ice magic, very well too, he might add, his eye still felt cold. The announcer has finished introducing the combatants and shouted out the word, "FI-GHT!!!"

 

Rose wanted no time, She raised her hand, send columns of ice to rise from the ground, making a bee-line towards Duo. He ran forward, jumping onto one of the columns and jumped again, gaining height by shooting lightning from his legs. Duo spun, while cloaking himself in lightning, and dived towards Rose. The lightning around him became an aura that shaped itself into a drill, he struck the ground, Rose backstepping to dodge, send chunks of the arena flying. Rose attacked with more ice pillars, these vertical and thinner. Duo dispelled the aura and spun on his hands, charging his legs with lightning and smashing the pillars. Duo spun faster, making a solid ring of thunder, with a final spin and a kick, he threw the ring at Rose. It rotated and went around her, Duo snapped his fingers, and the ring began to spin around with extreme speed. Duo kicked it, the ring spinning so fast, it was almost like a sphere, he kicked it up in the air and began to toy with Rose. Duo have a powerful kick and sent the ball flying out of the arena. The announcer grabbed his mic, "By arena out! Duo is the winner!!"

The crowed clapped and cheered. Alexia clapped. "Alright Duo!"Alexia says clapping. The arena started to chant his name again. "DUO!DUO!DUO!DUO!" He was quickly becoming one of the favorites of the entire event. Alexia looked over at Balis and smiled. "How about we go greet Duo and congratulate him on his victory?"Alexia asks smiling as she extended her hand towards Balis. Balis quickly crawled up onto her shoulders. Alexia then stared at Noah. He was wearing sunglasses and was looking down. "Noah,are you alright?"Alexia asks. He didn't seem to wanted to talk today as he turned hi face away. Alexia stared. "Well,I'm gonna go congratulate Duo,you can join us if you want."Alexia says as she stood up from her seat and walked away. She looked back slightly. "(Something is definately wrong with Noah. He isn't acting...normal.)"Alexia thinks. "I can say the same." Alexia then walked down and to the locker rooms. Everything would be iluminated by either the sunlight,fire,or special crystals that the East Kingdom uses for illumination. She walked up and saw Duo entering into the locker room after his fierce battle. "Congrats Duo. You were awesome out there."Alexia says.

Noah saw everyone starting leaving as it would be at least an hour before his match would start. He took of his glasses as his right eye was nearly fully blood shot red. He stood up shaking. He kept walking as he passed the locker room. He leaned against the wall as his right eye became fully red. He started to shake. Alexia's staff started glowing and shaking like crazy. Noah fell on his knees as he heard Alexia.'' Stay...away...argh!'' Noah said as he roared and a eye appeared on his forehead. He then growled as fur started spouting on his left arm. He stood up and roared as aura surronded him and started expanding destroying a part of the arena. Everyone was scattered as they were either killed or wounded in the crater. There in the center stood Noah. He had horns on his head, two wings on his back, A spiked tail, his right arm black, his left arm looked like a demon's arm, claws on each, and he had his sword in hand. He then roared as the stabed the ground causing an earthquake to happen. He then turned around as he dodged an arrow. There stood Zeta.'' Knew this was gonna happen.'' She said as the man from last night stood on a tree watching.'' Let's see if you can control it.'' the man said.

Alexia held her staff as it shook like crazy. She looked over at Balis who seemed uneasy. Alexia held her staff tightly. "What's wrong?"Alexia asks. "Noah." "Wait,what?"Alexia asks as she then saw as her staff started to swing around as it shook and glew. "What's going on?!"Alexia asks as she held the staff. "Noah Noah Noah Noah Noah Noah NOAH!!!!" Alexia stared. "Wha-" Just then an explotion occured that sent Alexia flying back along with Duo and Balis. The three of them ended up crashing against the lockers and the wall itself,which was now at the verge of collapsing on itself. Alexia held her head and held her staff. She looked over at Duo and Balis. "Are you guys alright?!"Alexia asks as she helped them up. Her staff glew brighter. "What's wrong?!"Alexia asks when her staff then started to pull her out of the locker rooms and to the arena. "What the he-..."Alexia says when the staff stopped and lowered down. Alexia stood there staringg at the creature who stood in the middle of the arena. "What...the hell is that..."Aiexia muttered as she held her staff tight and shook slightly. It was nothing that she had ever seen before. "...NOAH..."

Sync had located Zero,- now good friends- the two began to chat. Sync managed to keep his cover up, with Zero obliviously believing it all. The chat stopped when a explosion tore up some of the nearby arena. The small building that housed the cafeteria shuddered, then began to collapse.

 

"Sync! The cafeteria's collapsing! Get out of here!" Zero yelled, pushing Sync out. The cafeteria promptly collapsed in on itself, blocking Sync from Zero.

 

Sync ran off, near tears. Thoughts ran through his mind trying to figure out the cause. Another explosion threw Sync backwards, and Sync found the cause. A large demon. But to Sync, it looked slightly familiar. Sync ran more running into Alexia along with Duo and Duo's lizard.

 

"What is happening?!" Sync yelled.

The events leading up to seeing whatever beast was occupying the arena happened all too fast. Alexia was congratulating Duo when her staff began to act up, then came an explosion, and Alexia lead the way to the demon.

 

"What is that?!" Duo asked. Almost like a response, the creature let loose a savage roar, Balis hissed to Duo, "you're right Balis, it's angry, that's what," Duo undid the bandage over his eye, the vision coming back, but still a little sore. "Balis," he said commandingly, the familiar understood and left Duo's shoulders, dropping to the floor, changing color to hide himself from sight. Duo then turned to Alexia, "Stand back, things may-no, things WILL get very ugly," he told her, not joking at all.

 

Duo fired two thunder beams, one hit the beast head on, the second passed it harmlessly. The demon turned to face Duo and roared, even more enraged, "Now that I have your attention, lets start, I expected something a little more human as my third opponent here, but I'll take what I can get," Duo rushed forward and jumped high over the beast, and so did Balis who charged with electricity. When the second thunder beam missed, it hit Balis who absorbed it into his body. Balis latched onto Duo's back, like a backpack. Duo landed deftly on the other side and created three panels of his Thunder Glass, Duo hurled Balis through them, turning the lizard into a bolt of thunder that could rival anything of Thor or Zeus.

Noah then roared as he then grabbed the bolt with his left hand. It not unaffecting him.'' Get away! Nothing can hur-'' Zeta said as Noah roared causing another shockwave blast to hit them all. Zeta hit the wall as Duo and Alexia and Sync was blowed away. He roared and squeezed Balis and threw him away like trash. He then flew into the sky and rushed towards Alexia and Duo. Zeta struggled to stand, but got on a knee and fired a arrow to draw Noah Attention to her.'' Hey Noah, I'm over here.'' Noah then flew towards Zeta, who drew a pair of daggers.'' Wish I didn't have to use these.'' She said as she then rushed towards Noah who swinged his blade at her. She blocked with her knifes and jumped.'' Demon Supression!'' she yelled as she threw the daggers at Noah's back causing him to roar in pain. He fell on the ground. Noah struggled as the horns sinked into his sink, the wings sinked in, as well as the trail. The fur fell off and Noah's eyes went back to normal. He then passed out. Zeta panted as North warriors showed up. King Amos, the king of the North kingdom, father of Zeta, and Uncle of Noah.'' Daughter. Bring in Noah and his friends. The tournment is over. I have an important matter to tell you'' He said.

Alexia stood up with the help of her staff,which was glowing slightly. "Stay away from the boy,he is tainted blood...!!!!" Alexia looked up and looked around. "Duo."Alexia says. She helped him up to his feet. She then looked around and saw Balis on the floor. "Balis."Alexia says. She hurried over to Balis and carefully. "Balis,are you alright buddy?"Alexia asks as she held Balis and used her staff to heal him slightly,atleast to stop any pain that could be felt. "There there."Alexia says as she held Balis carefully. She then walked over to Duo and handed Balis over to him. "here,be careful,he's a bit sore from the hit."Alexia says. She walked over to Scync and helped him on his feet as well. "Are you alright?"Alexia asks as she helped Scync up. She saw the North King walk over to them. "(Well his majesty seems interested...)" She turned and stared at Noah. "(Noah...what are you exactly? Are you a beast in a boy's body...or are you a boy with a beast inside...?)"Alexia thinks.

The shockwave had sent Sync barreling into a nearby wall. The impact caused a sudden pain in the back of Sync's head, along with a metallic taste in his mouth- blood. Sync coughed, feeling his life force coming out. He coughed again, and attempted to stand up. While disoriented, Sync still could manage to hold himself up, but for how long, he wondered.

 

Sync paused to brush his hair, when he realized something. His visor was gone. Sync's eyes, closed due to a headache, shot open as Sync hurreidly looked for his visor. And there it was- shattered, the runes on it dimming to nothingness. Sync's face was in clear view. Not to just Duo, Alexia, and Zeta, but the King of the Nothern Kingdom as well.

Amos was shocked seeing Sync's face as he picked up Noah.'' Please. All of you. Come to my castle. There's food there if ya are hungry.'' Amos started walking away with Zeta.'' Father. I fear Noah won't be himself. This is the 5th time this month. The other 4 times happened at his kingdom. I'm starting to think it's a sign.'' Zeta said.'' No. Zeta, you must listen. Just because their coming back doesn't mean anything. We must be ready for their attack at anytime.'' Amos said.'' But we were attacked by them last night. Plus, Sync is not from anywhere but there. You should understand by what I'm feeling.'' Zeta said. '' Daughter, everything is under control. They won't defeat us. We shall kill them as we did that many years ago.'' Amos said as he turned and faced the others.'' Well, we're waiting.'' he said

 

Elsewhere, in the ruins of the Center Kingdom. Stood the man. He walked around. He heard some noise. He had his blade come out of his coat and pointed it at another brown coated figure.'' Oh. It's just you Luica.'' The man said. Luica removed his hood. He had spiked short dark blonde hair, a scar above his right eye, and a red bandana around his forehead.'' Yes. It's me. How's things on your end Shuica?'' Asked Luica.'' Good. Made contact with Alexia and Noah.'' he said.'' You sure they'll be ready?'' asked Luica.'' Trust me. They are. The kingdoms don't know who they are dealing with this time.'' Shuica said.

Alexia looked over at Scync. "(So that's how he looks like.)"Alexia thinks. They were still stratled of what had just happened. She looked over at Duo and Balis. Balis seemed to be alright even though he received a bad hit from 'monster' Noah,and Duo seemed to be alright as well,though his eye was still somewhat brusied. Alexia held her staff and stared at it. "(You could've warned me about 10 minutes sooner atleast.)"Alexia thinks as she held her staff with a tight grip. She looked over at Scync and walked over to him slightly. The visor he was wearing had shattered beyond repair. Alexia stared and looked back at Scync for a bit. "Well,atleast now we know how you look like."Alexia says. She smiled slightly. "No need to hide either."Alexia says. She then heard the King of the North Kingdom call of them to follow. "Oh,coming."Alexia says as she saw her staff glow brightly and then lower down its shine.

Sync looked at everyone.

 

They can see my face...He thought, Oh god! They can see my face!

Sync stepped back as Alexia stepped towards him. He looked over to the King, and got the odd feeling that Amos knew a little more about Sync than Sync wanted anyone to know. As Alexia returned to the King, Sync gingerely picked up the largest piece of what once was his mask- the grament he used to hide from reality, and his Kingdom's past. The rune had faded, the glow no longer there.

 

"I don't remember that this was a rune..." Sync whispered, touching the contours of where the rune was etched in. What was it for? Sync wondered, before he too walked over to the King, feeling strangely braver now that his visor was gone.

Duo held Balis in his arms, after being crushed like that, he must of had a couple of broken bones. He walked with everyone to the North King's castle, but was rather quiet, his only concern at this moment was the well being of Balis, he was so worried about the familiar that he hadn't even noticed Sync's visor had broken, finally revealing his face, or that Noah was the creature that he was fighting.

 

Balis was unconscious in Duo's arms. To Duo, he was more than a pet or even a familiar to Duo, he was his best friend, Duo had raised him since he hatched from an egg, and Balis had always been there, through think and thin, right at Duo's side ever since. Duo wouldn't know what he'd do if he lost Balis.

Alexia walked around. "(All of this activity is making it becoming more and more active by the moment. Is it because of this journey?)"Alexia thinks. Her staff had never been normal,not even when she was given the staff for the first time. That exact day the staff had almost pulled her off a clift down the rampanging waterfalls. Ever since the dreams have started to occur to her. Some meaningless,some meaningful for many things that had happened,even some life saving. They all followed the King and Zeta. Alexia turned to Duo and Balis. She stared and got a bit closer. "Balis..." She looked up a bit. "I could try to heal him. Other wise we could try to find an animal doctor that could help him out. Otherwise I know a few healing methods...I'm sorry."Alexia says. She then stood a few feet away from the two,giving them space. She could sense the tension going on with Duo about Balis right now. So she decided to just speak a bit and act if nessesary.
