I don't think Yen Sid wields anymore, he said so in KH2, that's why he's been diligently training all of these young and new Keyblade wielders instead.

Yeah, ur right, it was in BBS. And I think Yen Sid said it too to someone. But, yea I don't think it was KH2,now that you mention. But the point is: Yen Sid no longer wields.

Ven's heart could've left after the event on 3D. If you watch the scene carefully the armor stays with sora while the light moves away.
