WHY DO YOU WANT THEM TO KICK?

THERE IS NO LOGICAL REASON FOR THEM TO KICK.

IS ANYONE FORGETTING IT IS STILL A 7 AND UP KID SHOW?!

FFC GONNA KILL THE CREATORS FOR THAT

I thought the same thing about the whole murder-suicide thing. lol But, Nickelodeon has done some other "iffy" things before. I realize that not all of them match up to the caliber of this, but still. Now Disney, they wouldn't dream of it. xD

They only take risks in their movies with just one shot of blood.

The group that's making The Promise comics are releasing a new graphic novel called "Avatar: The Last Airbender - “The Search”
from the interview you can read [here] :

“This weekend at the American Library Association, Dark Horse announced Yang and Gurihiru will return for a second “Avatar: The Last Airbender” graphic novel series called “The Search,” which explores the biggest unsolved mystery in “Avatar” lore: what happened to Prince Zuko’s mother?”
Quotes from Gene Yang:
““The Search” focuses on Zuko and Azula. Aang, Katara and Sokka will be there, of course, but the Fire Nation royal siblings are really the drivers of the action. In “The Promise,” we see Zuko struggling with his responsibilities as Fire Lord. “The Search” is the next stage of that struggle.”
“In “The Search,” the Gang are still teenagers. “The Search” takes place immediately after the end of “The Promise.”“
“In “The Search,” we’ll see what a prolonged stay in a Fire Nation mental institution does to a person.” (About Azula)
“At the beginning of “The Promise,” Katara and Aang are still in that lovey-dovey stage of their relationship. They call each other pet names and are way too affectionate. By the end of “The Promise,” they will have gone through their first conflict. Their relationship will continue to mature in The Search, but it will take a backseat to the Fire Nation Royal Family. After all, that is one messed up family. They need all the panel-time they can get.”
“I love Toph. She was my favorite character to write in The Promise. Sadly, though, she doesn’t have a big role to play in The Search.”

The search sounds cool, but I'm too lazy to read. With all these comics they're making, they should've just made a season 4.

Also, I cannot stop watching this part <3

The fact its dark....or Asami?

putting under a spoiler, beware mako hate

i enjoyed the series

but i have LOT of problems with it

i am upset that korra got her bending back

i was expecting season 2 to be a spiritual journey for Korra to get her bending back

but no she got it back at the very end and even goes into the avatar state which just made me cringe

not to mention that just

makorra

ugh

ugh

UHGHGHGHHGEURHJBGV

I HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH MAKORRA

first of all

it was rushed

way too rushed

maybe a heartfelt hug wouldve been nice

BUT A firetruckING KISS

OKAY UM NO

also the whole love triangle thing

literally Mako went from being the awesome older brother doing what he can to get by to being a stupid teenage boy who plays with girls' feelings

his character wouldve been so great, his relationship with Bolin could've been memorable, but no

he instead led Asami on, confused Korra, and hurt his brother's feelings.

and Korra went from being the awesome independent woman of colour who didn't need no man

to someone who was boy crazy and thought that all that mattered was her bending

seriously she contemplated suicide just because she lost her bending

she thought bending was the only thing that mattered

that's just

NO

WHAT HAPPENED THE BADASS KORRA

as well, Bolin being reduced to a background character broke my heart

once the pro bending arc was finished, so was Bolin and all he did was sit in the back and be funny

and then Tahno

WHERE THE firetruck DID HE GO

TAHNO JUST

HE COULDVE BEEN GREAT AND BEEN LIKE 'YO I DON'T NEED BENDING, I'M STILL AWESOME'

AND HE COULDVE SHOWED KORRA THAT BENDING WASN'T THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERED

and then Amon using blood bending to fight Korra just ANNOYED me because he basically ignored everything he had every said about bending being evil. Hypocritical.

and just

ugh

the most developed character was Asami and everyone hates her and that makes no sense because she didn't do ANYTHING wrong

and even then they couldve gone more in depth with Asami and her father but no they focused on the stupid love triangle

Yes, to all of this. Even if they didn't know that they were going to have a second season before it was finished, they still could have handled it better. I still liked it though.

I see what you mean. I like that the show tried to be more fast-paced than the original, but the story felt rushed. I know Bolin is supposed to be the Sokka of the series, but he was always cracking jokes when everyone else was serious. Sokka was at least serious when he needed to be. I think Mako should have stayed with Asami so that Korra can learn that you can't always be with the person you just happen to have a crush on. Even Disney was able to pull this off, with THOND. I didn't see Amon as a hypocrite. Yeah, he's a bender, but the flashback with Tarrlok showed bending ruined his family and his life. I think he thinks his bending is a cursed, and though he can take other peoples' bending away, I think he wishes someone could take his away. I think Amon is a better villain than Ozai because Amon is more 3-dimensional, whereas Ozai was evil just for the sake of being evil, but it still works for him, because you know he was born into it, and it showed how corrupt the Fire Nation was. I like happy endings, so I liked the ending. I think Korra got in touch with her spiritual side when she had to use her power to protect people and not fight for the sake of fighting, and because of the fact that it was Mako she was saving. I think Aang gave her her bending back as a reward for getting in touch with her spiritual side. My main gripe with the ending is that if bloodbending can take away peoples' bending, why does only energybending give people their bending back? Part of the mystery of the show was wondering how Amon was able to take away peoples' bending, and now that we know that he used bloodbending, Katara should have been able to heal everyone. I think the show was clever in the fact it doesn't let us question that there isn't a way to give people their bending back by taking Lin, Korra, and other peoples' bending, but not taking Tenzin or any of his family's bending, 'cause if they did, you know a Deus Ex Machina was coming.

"Lizzie1238 is a firebender who tried to kill Tenzin and has a pet Lemur"

"Elizabeth is a waterbender who had a one night stand with Mako and has a pet Koi"

I think the second one would actually be true if I lived in the world of Avatar...

So I finally decided to read the promise, I found parts 1 + 2 online. Overall, I actually didn't like it that much.

My main issue is Zuko-related. He's my favourite character, but I saw so many issues relating to him in some way or another. First, he asks Aang to kill him if he becomes like his father. Now after all Zuko has been through, why would he ever think he might become like his father? He's a better person than that! What makes it worse is that Aang actually agrees to kill him of necessary. Aang, the pacifist, the guy who would not even kill Zuko's evil father, agrees to kill his own friend. Later, we see Zuko going to his father for advice. Wait...what?! Why would he see his father for advice?! After all the terrible things Ozai has done, how could Zuko ever trust him?! Where the heck is his uncle Iroh?! He's the guy Zuko should be going to for advice! Finally, every time Aang and Katara called each other "sweetie", I wanted to puke. But it wasn't entirely bad, Sokka and Toph were great, and Zuko and Mai finally broke up. Hopefully for good.

I personally LOVED the season finale, but I definitely agree with many of your points. The only one I don't think that I agree with is Amon using his bloodbending. I don't have a problem with him using it, because honestly he was technically using it the whole time, anyway. Just in a different way for a different purpose.

With that scene where Korra left the hut in the end before the return of her bending, I was really expecting Makko to say something like, "If you can't Firebend, I'll Firebend for you." That would have been sweet.

Works for me:

XIIISwords is an airbender and is siblings with Bolin and has a pet Flying Bison.

lol, and look.

It’s official: The Legend continues! Nickelodeon has picked up a second season of the animated adventure series The Legend of Korra, EW has learned. After averaging 3.8 million viewers for Season 1, Book 1 (which concluded June 23), the sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender not surprisingly received an order for 26 more episodes.

The show is already set to return in 2013 with the premiere of Season 1, Book 2, as 17-year-old chosen one Korra (voiced by Janet Varney) has now become a fully realized Avatar. The cast also includes Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), David Faustino (Married… with Children), and P.J. Byrne (Horrible Bosses).
