Sephiroth had grabbed the Keyblade and glared at him. "Out of the way, pest." he said. He spun in the air and threw him by the Keyblade.

"The names Avan Jackson, I am a mastermind, not a pest. You are the pest here." Avan then desummoned the keyblade and was in the air. He then lowered to the ground again, and sent a fireball headed towards Sephiroth. "Lets see if the evil being can take a hint." Avan said.

 

Zack left Xion on the motorcycle and joined in the fight. "Sephiroth, you never learn do you?" Zack said and prepared his sword for battle to help out Tifa and Avan.

'What do you say Axel, ready to get our hands dirty or what?' Roxas said smiling a little.

 

Arina blushed once she noticed that she was still holding Seichi's hand.

"Let's do this!" Axel responded to Roxas before letting Felix take control once more. "Come on Big Man! This bus needs to get going! I'll tell you where to turn to get to them, but since it's in the woods we'll have to get out and hike a bit," stated Felix to Troy's approval.

 

(OOC: Dang. This is more people than ever before that will be facing off against James/Sephiroth at once. Should Scott jump in to draw a little of the aggro so that the fight doesn't get to be too cluttered? He was going to attack the CIA base and basically cut all of the resources that Victoria and the rest had, but this falls under his plan as well, so he could sense Sephiroth and chose to join in. Thoughts? Oh, and Damion should be back tomorrow.)

"Don't make me laugh!" Sephiroth said, knocking the fireball aside with the Keyblade. "You're just as evil as I am Xehanort! I know your tricks. You're just playing a good guy to trick the others." He vanished and appeared behind him, slashing at him.

 

Seichi looked at her and asked "What's wrong? Your face is all red." Are you sick? Sora asked.

"Yes?" Seichi asked. He noticed her getting a little redder and said "Are you sure your not sick? And why are you so embarrassed?"

Tifa got back to her feet, observing the fight between Sephiroth and Avan. “Hmph. Should’ve known that the bipolar guy’s tears were an act,” she said to herself. She shot more fire at Sephiroth’s back, not caring whether she hit Avan in the process.

Naminé barely got the hang of Barrier when Aqua had her move on to Cure. “Sorry, I wish I could give you more time to practice each spell, but since this is a crash course, you need to have a bare minimum of knowledge of as many spells as I can teach you,” Aqua explained. “You’re doing great, though. Enough practice, and you’ll have flawless defense.” As Aqua taught her Cure, she had Naminé start by “Curing” herself. Next, Aqua allowed Naminé to use the spell on her. They repeated this a few times until she became somewhat good at it.

Suddenly, Scott appeared in a burst of rose petals from a door to darkness. Making ready to slash at Mariah's side as her body, controlled by Tifa, closed in on James' body, controlled by Sephiroth. "Oh? Another stain? Dear girl, I'll wipe you off of the face of this world. The world shall be cleansed!" he shouted.

Oh, alright! Sora said. "Wait a second." Seichi said. "Turning red, getting embarrassed..." It was then that he noticed he was still holding her hand. He blushed and said "I'm sorry!" He had also noticed she made no move to let his hand go, which made him wonder if she wanted to.

Tifa was so caught off-guard by the newcomer that she didn’t have time to react to his attack, and ended up getting slashed in the side. The shock caused her to lose control of Mariah’s body as she fell, and Mariah was back in control. Her wound wasn’t deep enough to be fatal, but it sent a great amount of pain shooting through her torso.

 

Mariah stared up at the man while holding her side as it started to bleed. Some things about him...the way he carried himself, the way he spoke, were eerily familiar... “Who are you?” she demanded in a strained voice.

"Oh? She stands, does she? Please don't tell me you're that annoying girl that Cain told me about. Mariah, was it? Killed a boy who'd fallen in love with her and ripped the heart out of another, yet still she was seen as perfect in the eyes of so many. Looks like you didn't kill that one good enough. Don't worry though, you won't have to deal with your hypocrisy for long. When you fade to oblivion it will all just pass away," Scott finished. As his rant came to a close, a storm of rose petals began to swarm around him and three pools of energy as red as bloody roses formed on the ground in a triangle around him. Finally, energy gathered around his scythe. "Now you DIE!"

Avan turned his head just in time to see Scott about to do lots of harm to Mariah. He summoned up a dark portal behind Mariah, "If you want to live, go inside that portal. I will hold these two down. Now go!" Avan told Mariah and went towards James.

 

Zack got in front of Scott with his sword ready to block the attack. "Hey jerk-face, you want her, you go through me." Zack said.

 

"Okay one, only we tell Big Man what to do, second, Big Man drive." Aria said. Big Man started to drive towards the woods.

Scott's face became infuriated for a moment, then he simply chuckled and regained a confident and amused expression. "Go through you? Hmph, very well then, if you so desire death then I shall deliver it gladly." Scott then released the pent up energy within his scythe towards the blocking Noel in attempts to knock him back towards the nearby energy pool.

 

Felix sighed, "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I won't go bossing the big guy around. He seems pretty legit," he responded, then turning to Big Man he said, "You're gonna want to take that turn up there, then it's a straight shot to the forest with the others."

 

Troy sat in his seat, his foot tapping restlessly. "Don't worry guys, we're on our way."

Mariah’s throat went dry. So this was Cain’s follower. Between him and Sephiroth...oh, she was so dead. Then Avan summoned a Corridor of Darkness behind her and told her to go through. She was actually considering when Paul Jackson stepped in front of her. “Paul!” she said with surprise and relief. As much as she hated to ditch him, there was barely anything left in her, and besides that, the blood loss was starting to make her feel light-headed. She ran off to the side towards a more wooded area to get behind some trees, hoping that Avan and Paul could keep the other two occupied until she was feeling better...if that ever happened. Tifa...all those things they’ve been saying about me...

 

“Don’t matter,” Tifa responded. “They’re just trying to manipulate you and sap your will to keep going. Don’t listen to them.”

 

But they’re right!

 

“No, they’re not. You’ve made mistakes, but these people are blowing it way out of proportion to make you vulnerable so that they can kill you. That’s all they want. Don’t let them win.”

 

Mariah still wasn’t completely convinced, but she didn’t have the energy to argue further. When she reached her destination, she saw the girl who was Inhabited by Aerith. She looked uncertain about fighting. “Hey, I didn’t catch your name. I’m Mariah,” she panted.

 

“Elie,” the girl responded. She looked past Mariah at the ongoing battles. “I feel like I should help out.”

 

“You don’t look like you’ve fought much yet. My advice: don’t go out there right now. The green-haired guy is an insane killer, and James over there is possessed by Sephiroth. And I’m sure you know you’d be an instant target for Sephiroth.” Mariah got behind a tree and sat down at its base, grimacing in pain.

 

“Oh my gosh, you’re bleeding all over the place!” Elie said. “We need to get you some help!”

 

Mariah could feel herself slipping into unconsciousness, and she struggled to speak. “No, don’t worry about it. You have to stay here...in case Joy needs help. I know...you just met him, but...can you...protect him...for me?” Then she blacked out.

 

Oh, no. What do I do? Elie thought.

 

“Wait! I know a healing spell!” Aerith said.

 

Well, why didn’t you say so before? Help her out!

 

Aerith took over and used Curaga on Mariah. Mariah’s wounds closed up most of the way, and the color started returning to her face, but she stayed asleep.

 

“What’s wrong? Why isn’t she waking up?” Elie asked.

 

It’s okay. She just needs to recuperate now, Aerith answered. “Don’t worry, Tifa, you’ll be fine,” she said. “And I’ll protect Joy and Cloud for both of you.” She then looked over at Zack as he fought the man with the scythe. “Come on, Zack, don’t die on me again,” she pleaded quietly.

Arina saw that Seichi was starting to turn red like her, when he said he was sorry. She blushed some more and lokked away. 'I-its okay.'

Arina was speechless, but she continued to follow Seichi..

(Hey guys, I'll probably be gone for the next several hours. I give Not-with-a-whimper, Damion, Number XV, and Azure Flame permission to control my characters, if you want to. The only thing I ask is that you don't kill them. )

Avan dodged as much as he could, but he still took a few hits. "I may be a tricker, but I am not a lier. I will defeat you here and now. And the names Avan, not Xehanort." Avan said and went to the ground. He made the ground rise up around him, which also took Zack before he could get hit. Avan then used a rain of fire on Sephiroth.

 

When he was lifted in the air, Zack stood there. "I will get you Scott for trying to hurt a friend in need." Zack then went behind Scott and slashed at him over and over again.

 

Big Man took the turn and kept driving.

 

Victoria took over again and walked over to Elie. "So let me get this straight, you know Zack and have feelings for him?" Victoria asked.

Sephiroth laughed and said "Your fire can't harm me, not while I have this Keyblade!" He spun One-Winged Angel above him like a propeller, blocking fire rain. He then clutched his head and started floating down to the ground. "No! How can this be!? It must be because Riku is helping him." he said. One-Winged Angel dissappeared and James took control again. "I'm not as weak as I was before." he said. "And I've got Riku by my side as well. You may take over, but we'll get control right back. And, I think I've got a way to try and temporarily lock you away, at least for a little while." He summoned Skull Noise and held it to his chest. Stabbing himself with it, he attempted to seal Sephiroth and his power.

 

In James's Dive into the Heart, a cage appeared around Sephiroth. "It may not be a permanent solution, but you won't be able to get out of this easily. And I'll be able to take a little of your power from it and do this." James said. He summoned Skull Noise in his right hand, and One-Winged Angel in his left hand.

 

Back in the real world, James ran from the battlefield. He had to appologize to Mariah.

 

Seichi wondered why she looked away and reached for her face, to try and get her to look at him. "Why do you look away?" he asked.

 

(Think of the cage and James taking a little of Sephiroth's power similar to Naruto and the Kyuubi in Naruto.)

(OOC: I'm a tad bit confused about how Zack went from being lifted into the air by a rising column of earth to being behind Scott and slashing at him, but okay, I'll run with it. Also, I'm about to be out for the next four hours at least, so... yeah. I feel that by this point there are enough people missing that slowing the story, or at least the parts with the missing people, might be a good idea. Number XV, Damion Strife, and Azure Flame have my permission to control my characters, though, if need be.)

 

Scott turned around and blocked the attack behind him with his scythe, the pools of energy slowly fading around him. Still wearing his confident smirk, Scott used an ability of Marluxia's and faded into the ground, spinning the scythe above him like a chain saw, ripping through the earth to shred its next victim.

Arina smiled and blushed a little more. "Cause...I think I...like you." Arina twiddled her thumbs, has she ever felt so nervous. She just met Seichi, but she felt like she has known him forever. Was it because of Sora and Kiari?

Seichi turned red as he looked her in the eyes and said "I think I like you too." He unknowingly started leaning toward her.
