KH3D Yen Sid knew about Xehanort's plan in 3D all along (*SPOILERS*)

Recommended Posts

I was just rewatching some old cutscenes and I watched the secret ending of re: coded. I never thought about this before but right before Yen Sid says Sora and Riku need to show the mark of mastery, he asks Mickey a question: "Tell me... would a single one of you suffice if what you faced was not a single one of him?"

I was like WAIT... So Yen Sid knew Xehanort was gonna make copies of himself the whole time?

Really weird, and I never thought about it deeply before I knew about the new organization in 3D.

Why would Yen Sid not say anything before he put Sora and Riku through the mastery exam?

I honestly thought when Yen Sid said "not a single one of him," it only meant Master Xehanort, Xemnas, and Ansem SOD; i also thought they would go against Master Mickey, Master Riku and Master Sora... but obviously, i had it twisted.

Well Yen Sid is Disney backwards. He is like the all-knowing god. He's too good for a keyblade, that's how cool he is. lol jk

Sora isn't a master.

He obviously thought Sora would turn into a master after 3D

He's sort of like Dumbledore in Harry Potter. They just know things are going to happen, and send other people as ponds to do some kind of work without telling them the whole story.

He's purposely pissing them off. Good thing Sora is a good sport and doesn't mind being clueless, unlike Harry.

Yeah Yensid's a mastermind. I've always figured he knows exactly what's going on since his appearance in KH2. Atleast he's on the good side.

Yeah, Yen SId is very mysterious. He seemed to know about Xehanort being Ansem and Xemnas all along (which I suppose would be very obvious if you knew the man at all), but never really got the chance to mention it I guess...Yen Sid "talks to the stars" (hearts of worlds) all the time, so who knows what else he knows, and how much knowledge he's really sitting on...or even what might have happened in Yen Sid's past to make him give up the title of keyblade master. Maybe giving up the keyblade makes you all-knowing, lol.
