Jason Kayvon Karimi 0 Posted April 4, 2012 What engine does this game use? From what I've heard it either uses a modified and improved KH:BBS Engine or a modified KH2 Engine, anyone got a straight answer?
DChiuch 5,773 Posted April 4, 2012 Definitely modified BBS. 2 replika13 and heyitsdeven reacted to this
Beta 102 Posted April 4, 2012 Wasn't the engine called Flowmotion or did I confuse something else with it?
Jason Kayvon Karimi 0 Posted April 4, 2012 Wasn't the engine called Flowmotion or did I confuse something else with it? I'm not sure if it has a unique name, but the BBS Engine was also used for CC:FF7 and Dissidia.
Limen123 28 Posted April 4, 2012 Wasn't the engine called Flowmotion or did I confuse something else with it? Not specifically the engine, just a mechanic in the gameplay. Flowmotion is what you call the pole spinning, rail grinding, high jumping, etc. things you do in the game by holding Y.
Remains of Old 117 Posted April 4, 2012 I remember videos of the use Keytotruth on youtube about some 3D cutscene files inside BBS, that weren't used and stuff, so, like DC said, definitely modified BBS.

Thanks for clearing that up! http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png
hatok 6,413 Posted April 5, 2012 When Sora appears in his KH1 form, it seems to run on the Re:CoM engine (Which was lifted from Roxas in KH2)
Keyblade Master Xoncron 499 Posted April 5, 2012 What does it matter what kind of engine the game uses?!
Jason Kayvon Karimi 0 Posted April 5, 2012 What does it matter what kind of engine the game uses?! Well in the simplest terms, a game engine controls the physics, graphics, and performance of a game, with that being said, its a foundation that the game builds upon. and knowing which engine is used just helps us (the fans) breakdown the game further.
