Xalaru 445 Posted February 21, 2012 I'm ashamed to say I've never completed KH1. ): Played it enough times, but never completed it (even though I know the ending). But I can't get any further than that winged demon chernabog thing and I'm only on Normal Mode. After reading on the internet about how many boss battles there are at the end of this game I think I just lost the will to live, I have no idea how to get any further 'cause I keep dying. I'm almost Level 50 but I know that's not really high enough to make the battles any easier for me... any suggestions?

But back away before he summons his fire it's like the Ursala battle

Xalaru 445 Posted February 21, 2012 Yeah, I know to just hit Chernabog on the back of the head and stuff, but everytime I got near him to do it it kept pushing me away for some reason (which happened in the Ursula battle as well...).

Use the Areo spell it will shield you to some extent and have lots of potions on hand

Don't think I'm high enough level but no idea how to get it higher.

MrSanderss 80 Posted February 21, 2012 Make sure to always have aero cast, it shouldn't be too much trouble if you do that? o.o *edit* whoops posted before seeing those other posts
Xalaru 445 Posted February 21, 2012 What keyblade are you using, and what level are you? Er, I'm alternating between Olympia and Metal Chocobo, and I'm Level 49 almost 50.

DawningEclipse 38 Posted February 21, 2012 Er, I'm alternating between Olympia and Metal Chocobo, and I'm Level 40 almost 50. You should have Oathkeeper, if you dont have Dive Rose and or Oblivion go back to Hollow Bastion. Talk to Belle she will be in the Library you go through a little cutscene with her and Obtain Divine Rose, Oblivion is in the Grand Hall where you fight Riku the second time. Either Keyblades should help

MrSanderss 80 Posted February 21, 2012 Also, it wouldn't hurt to have some decent accessories, have you tried synthesizing some equipment?
DawningEclipse 38 Posted February 21, 2012 Oh. I have both of those, I'll try them thanks. Do you know what level you were when you were at this point in the game? Same level you was, Oathkeeper, Divine Rose, and Oblivion are high leveled Keyblades. If I was you I would go with Oblivion against Chernbarg it's the second powerfulest Keyblade in the game
Xalaru 445 Posted February 21, 2012 I never really got the hang on synthesising... I've equipped three rings though. Two of the Omega Arts rings and one Three Stars ring.
Zenithia 305 Posted February 21, 2012 tutti frutti. One my suggestions is to go back to Hallow Bastion and get the Oblivion Keyblade. If you're facing where the Keyhole was, turn around and you should see a treasure chest. Use the ledges on the left or right at that point to reach it. I find that this helps in melee attacks, this way you can save your magic for Aero and Cure. Have a healthy supply of elixers for Sora, I find giving them to Donald and Goofy to be a waste. (though just my opinion about Donald and Goofy) The only real attack that you need to look out for is when Chernabog is about to do his fire move, which does a crazy amoung of damage. If you can evade this move, and heal as needed then your pretty much good. If anything else, try to reach at least level 60 if you're still having some trouble. Okay yep, I have Oblivion, and 2 Elixirs/2 Megalixirs... And yeah, it's not the fire attack that seems to kill me, it's that one where he sends a bunch of... things after you. No idea what they're called. :L And I want to level up a bit but I don't know where to get the exp.points.

Xalaru 445 Posted February 21, 2012 Go to either Neverland or the Colosseum those are good places to level up and what things? Ehh, Neverland didn't really help me much when I tried there, and the cups take me ages to get any decent exp.points... I guess it didn't help that I chose options at the start of the game that meant it's harder to level up after I reach 50 but oh well. Only cup left for me to try is the Hades Cup. And, I don't know what they're called, he just sends some weird things around the area that hit you, kinda like those things from when you battled Cerberus I guess.
