Simple and Clean or Sanctuary?

Recommended Posts

Hmm.... I'd really have to say "Sanctuary" for me. It's just so beautiful and powerful. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy "Simple and Clean" as well, but.... I played KHII first, so "Sanctuary" was the first song I heard, and I loved it. And at the very end of days, hearing it play as Roxas runs like a happy little boy thinking he's going to the beach made me want to cry!

I've always loved Simple and Clean the most, both versions. I was about 10 years old when KH first came out so there's probably the nostalgic value there. I've always found the guitar riffs in the main version very soothing, and the remix is a brilliantly energetic retake of it - I can recall the entire opening sequence in my mind's eye when listening to it.

Actually, while I prefer Simple and Clean over Hikari, I actually prefer Passion over Sanctuary. Somehow I felt Sanctuary's syllables didn't fit with the melody, but Passion was always absolutely beautiful.

They are both eaqually amazing songs done by the amazing Utada Hikaru. It depends on the mood I'm in, but I think I prefer Passion and Sanctuary more, but I still love Hikari and Simple and Clean. The versions off of her This Is The One album are the best :D

Not sure... But I think they should use an already existent Hikaru Utada song ( Sorry if Utada comes first, I have seen it both ways) like First Love. I actually heard the remix of this song first, and the original would be pretty good for the credits.

Utada is her surname (last name) and Hikaru is her given (first) name, but the Japanese put the surname before the given name. Either way is correct though. Just like the way her name is pronounce, OOH-TA-DA, but she doesn't care if people say YOO-TA-DA.
