Kyle waived his left arm, a barrier of light blocking the attack. It also bounced the attack at Octavian. He summoned his Keyblades in his hands, the battle beteween his Light and Darkness growing more intense, his aura becoming unstable, tendrils of Light and Darkness shooting out from it.

{Loki}

Loki summoned a barrier around himself to keep Kyle's aura away.

"Good." he said. "Give in to the Void!"

He fired another dark bolt at Kyle, hoping to enrage him further.

 

{Octavian}

Octavian took redirected attack in the back, causing him to stumble. A small group of soldier surround him, making a defensive line around him. Octavian looked over to Loki and Kyle's fight. This was getting too dangerous. If Octavian was right about Kyle...

"Withdraw." he told his soldiers calmly. "Tell the others."

He looked up and snapped his fingers. Purple and green lightning arched from the sky, striking at buildings, civilians and Twilight members. Octavian snapped again and disappeared, returning to his castle.

 

{Dane}

Dane cut down a few more soldiers before noticing that Octavian was gone and the soldiers were bugging out. He moved to pursue, but was nearly stuck by the lightning from above.

"Dang it!" he yelled, using his blade to block another bolt.

Kyle, blinded by his aura, got hit by the attack, falling to the ground. He was unconscious, but his aura was still fighting.

 

Kyle got up and looked around. He saw he was on a platform. On the platform was a mural of him facing left holding Oblivion and his brother facing right holding Understanding. In the center was an odd weapon that looked like two Keyblades combined with a blade attached. He looked up as saw his brother, Kody. He glared at him and ran, holding Oblivion. "You! You're the reason why I'm so weak now!" he said. "If it wasn't for you, I'd be one of the strongest Darkness users!" Kody ran at him as well saying "You took away my life, trapping me in here!" He was wielding Understanding as they clashed. Darkness emenated from Kyle, while Light emenated from Kody.

 

(If you didn't get it from the description, Kyle is in his Dive into the Heart fighitng for control against his brother, kinda like the Ven and Vanitas fight in BBS. Also, the weapon he saw between them is the X-Blade. I got permission to be able to use it when the battle is resolved and they combine their powers. Will not be using is all the time, just when he combines his two Keyblades.)

Loki cursed at Octavian's withdrawal. What was that idiot thinking? Loki took satisfaction that he would at least end Kyle. He used his blade and magic to keep Kyle's aura out of his way as he moved closer to the unconscious Twilight Wielder.

Dane saw Kyle go down and Loki moving in. Not much he could do just yet, but that rarely stopped him before. He used his Keyblade to redirect one of the thunder strikes from the dark cloud over head at Loki. Loki managed to see it coming and deflect it, but that cost him ground and Kyle's aura began to press in.

Kyle had no idea what was going on outside, he was focused on his battle with Kody. Kody fired a beam of Light from Understanding at Kyle, who fired a beam of Darkness from Oblivion, clashing with the Light beam. They pressed the attacks against eachother, trying to overpower the other.

Fainezza saw Kyle, unconscious, and Loki trying to gain advantage over that. "Kyle, wake up!" moving swiftly, she avoided the bolts, and got as close she could to Kyle's aura.

The Light and Dark aura lashed out and any who got near, trying to protect it's host while Kyle and Kody fought inside.

 

Kyle could not hear Fainezza in his heart as he tried to push back Kody's Light beam. Then he noticed something, at the point where the two beams connected, part of them merged and gave off an oddly strong power. Just then, it extended out into a ball and exploded, sending Kyle and Kody topping off the platform. They stabbed their Keyblades into the side to keep from falling and climbed back up. "Kyle, did you see that power?" Kody asked. "I did." Kyle replied. "That might be the answer. Yes, Light and Darkness are strong and fight against eachother, but if they work together and combine, they become much stronger." "That's what I was thinking Kyle. Maybe we were wrong to fight, I forgive you for what you did to me, and I hope you forgive me for what I did to you." Kody said. "I do, come here Kody, let us merge our powers." Kyle replied, giving his brother a hug as their hearts became one.

 

Back outside, the battling aura grew calm as the Light and Darkness merged. Kyle awoke and said "I believe I have found the solution to this war, and have gotten stronger because of it." He summoned Oblivion and Understanding and spun them in his hands before crossing them in an X formation and saying "X-Blade!" There was a flash of Light and Darkness and when it subsided, Kyle was holding the fable X-Blade. "Unfortunatly, my body is not yet strong enough for the full power of this weapon, so I only have a limited ammount of time I can use it."

sin looked at her then he spoke "...my factor is darkness...." he turned back to the fight "..but the thing is, is that i have no side nether good nor evil i dont care if the world dies i do what i do for my own creed..." he could feel her watching the fight "...do you want ot help...if you do then youll become my enemy as well...."he looked back at kyle "....he will under stand once again.."

Dane whistled.

"Okay, that's nice." he commented, moving closer to support Kyle.

He gave a infuriating smile to Loki.

"Care to try this again?"

Loki merely snorted.

"You are fools to believe this changes anything." he said. "The void will still take you all."

He smiled at the warriors of Twilight.

"All in good time."

He disappeared in a swirl of darkness.

Dane looked around. The town had taken heavy damage and he could see several people dead, more injured.

"All this for what?" He muttered to himself.

 

{Octavian}

Octavian snarled at his mirror. He watched to see what Loki and Kyle would do. His worst fear had come true. The X-Blade had been summoned. Its wielder must be destroyed.

"We fight for peace." Kyle said, more calm than he ever was before. "It is sad, but people will die during this war. However, do not count this as a loss. For I have gained great power and wisdom through the X-Blade, as well as fighting my brother in my heart." he said. "Light and Darkness are powerful in thier own right and may be opposites, but when they work together they are stronger than they could ever be seperate. I am proof of this now." He grabbed the handles of the X-Blade and seperated them, becoming Oblivion and Understanding again. He fell to his knees as his armor vanished, weakened from the toll the X-Blade put on him.

{Dane}

Dane dismissed his keyblade and went to a knee. He pulled put a potion and handed it to Kyle.

"Take a swing and rest." He said. "After you are feeling better, we can figure out what do do with that big blade of yours."

Dane had to admit, he had mixed feelings about Kyle having the X-Blade. He understood what it basically was and knew that it was good one of the Twilight members got it. It was just...his arm.

Kyle grabbed the potion and said "Thanks. It'll take a while to actually be able to use it for a while without getting tired." He took a swig and felt better, but needed his rest still.

 

(For those who watch Bleach, think of it kinda like when Ichigo starts using his Hollow Mask, how in the begining he can't fully control it and can only use it for a short ammount of time and is weak after, but the more he uses it the longer he can go and the more control he has.)

Fainezza sheathed her Keyblade and walked to Dane. "Guess we outta start fixing the town." she mused, surveying the town. "They really did a number on this place."

{Dane}

Dane nodded as he stood up.

"Until then, we got to be careful." he said. "We're gonna have Light, Dark and maybe mercenaries coming after you for that."

He glanced around. Thankfully, the dark cloud was fading and had stopped putting out lightning before that. He then sighed.

"Yeah." he replied to Fainezza. "We got a lot of work to do. If other people will let us."

[Namine` 28]

She sighed. "Yeah, but hopefully they'll realize we were defending the town. We didn't mean for this to happen." Fainezza studied th damage, calculating how long it would take to get everything back together again. A thought suddeny crossed her mind. "Where's Sin and..." she snapped her fingers trying to remember. "That other girl that was with him."

"Knowing Sin, they're probably still up there watching us." Kyle said, getting to his feet. He dusted himself off and looked around.

Dane shook his head.

"The people I'm worried about is people like Sin and the other guys that were here." He said grimly. "They're gonna be a royal pain to deal with."

He took in a deep breath and scratched his nose.

"Okay, let's search for wounded first."

 

{Octavian}

Octavian took a steadying breath as he sat in a large armchair in his study. Kyle getting the X-Blade was a big dent in the dark master's plan. Though, it was Twilight that had it. There was still hope they wouldn't use it as it was meant to be. Of course, if Kyle were to die...

Octavian moved to get up then stopped. A smile spread across his lips. Kyle's presence would cause chaos on all sides. All the needed to know is where he was.

" Hmm the fighting stopped, whats your plan?" She asked standing up and straightening herself out. She checked her gun for ammo and put it back into the sling across her back. She looked over at Sin

" Quite the idea you have there, accepting the darkness but seeing your own path. She looked down the others and shook her head. What would my path be?

"There's no need to worry about Sin. I know him from my time on the side of Darkness. He's got more bark than bite." he said. He stretched before cracking his knuckles. "Alright, time to start working." he said. "This place isn't going to rebuild itself!"

Dane chuckled and nodded.

"Righto." He said.

Dane walked over to one of the nearby buildings. Holes had been blown into it by the dark storm and the soldiers. He entered and began to search around for people trapped.

 

{Loki}

Loki stood in the dark realm, considering all that had transpired. Twilight had the X-Blade. Lessor Dark Master's would have panicked, but not Loki. He had read the Black Sacrament. It told him the truth. Darkness would fall.

Fang walked through a portal into twilight town and saw the damage "ok this cant be right i was going to twilight town not armageddon city" he thought as he looked around. he then heard someone moaning in pain he then saw a child with a wound in his chest fang quickly healed him "hey kid wat happened here?".
