For Nintendo Fans!

Recommended Posts

Well Ladies and Gents~ I get a Nintendo Power magazine every month and at the end of it, they give a selection of games and rate them, with a little mini review! I figured, I'll post up the ratings and pick a quote from the review to help any curious gamers (: ...I'll also add a link to a picture for each game (: If you don't like Nintendo games then don't even bother... I'll be editing this post every month!

Everything posted in here is the ratings from Nintendo Power and the quotes from their writing, I have not rated or wrote ANY of this and do not claim it as mine.

I only posted the November issue so far, I'll get on the December Issue and the Holidays Issue soon!

November 2009 Issue:

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (Ds): 9.0 "It retains the core elements of its console brethren - combat intensive 3-D gameplay, an ambitious narrative, and lots of Disney magic - while introducing thoughtful tweaks that help the game stand on its own."

http://ui06.gamespot.com/37/big3582days6_2.jpg

Ju-on: The Grudge (Wii): 6.0 "No weapons, no health bar, no inventory. You're a character in a horror movie, totally at the mercy of what the game's designers have planned for you."

http://thenintendo.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/95051_feel2_122_96lo.jpg

Spyborgs (Wii): 7.5 "It's been a long time since games like Double Dragon and Final Fight ruled the gaming roost, but Spyborgs proves that arcade-style beat-'em-ups can still provide some solid, fist-flying fun."

http://wiimedia.ign.com/wii/image/article/878/878624/spyborgs-screenshots-abducted-20080602103543137_640w.jpg

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: smash up (Wii): 7.5 "Developer Game Arts has stuck to Nintendo's formula so closely that even the character-select, fighting introduction, and victory screens are nearly identical [To super smash brothers brawl]

http://www.nintenjo.com/files/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/tmnt-smash-up-wii-screenshot.jpg

Dead space Extraction (Wii): 8.0 "Despite the switch to a light-gun shooter, Dead space Extraction isn't some half-hearted spin-off; a lot of care has obviously gone into crafting a top-notch presentation"

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3425/3290906963_d3d5bc647f_o.jpg

NBA 2k10 (Wii): 6.0 "Poorly implemented motion controls make the action needlessly complicated, and they often feel unresponsive"

http://www.the10k.com/gallery/albums/userpics/NBA_2K10_--_Wii_%232.jpg

Hero's saga: Laevatein Tactics (Ds): 7.0 "There are two ways to win confrontations in Hero's saga. You can carefully plan your strategy, weigh all the factors, and grind out a victory through superior tactics. Alternatively, you can game the Valhalla Gauge."

http://dsmedia.ign.com/ds/image/article/992/992765/heros-saga-laevatein-tactics-20090608055431960_640w.jpg

A Boy And His Blob (Wii): 8.5 "The first word that comes to mind when you play A Boy And His Blob is beautiful. The game looks absolutely stunning"

http://hatedpig.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/a-boy-and-his-blob-2-wii-screenshot-big.jpg

spore Hero (Wii): 7.0 "spore Hero works like your standard adventure game: as you search for items to combat the red menace, you stop to help with side quests"

http://web-vassets.ea.com/u/f/eaonline/eaw/Assets/Richmedia/Image/Screenshots/spore-hero-wii-screenshot-3_656x369.jpg

A Witch's Tale (Ds): 4.0 "The game's large areas feel pointless and empty, and the random encounters, while relatively infrequent, are simply awful."

http://thenintendo.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/a-witches-tale-3.png

Naruto shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2 (Ds): 7.0 "The 3-D fighter looks better, has a bigger roster, and offers more modes that give it more longevity."

http://www.videogamesblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/naruto-shippuden-ninja-destiny-2-ds-screenshot.jpg

Mario & sonic At The Olympic Winter Games (Ds): 8.0 "Many of the games are enjoyable, but some don't work as well."

http://www.ripten.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/mario-and-sonic-ds.jpg

Guitar Hero 5 (Wii): 8.0 "The graphics are noticeably improved, and the gameplay feels more difficult than that of World Your. Additionally, some new features help improve the overall experience."

http://wiimedia.ign.com/wii/image/article/100/1009916/guitar-hero-5-20090731051303696-000.jpg

spore Hero Arena (Ds): 5.0 "There isn't much to do with a creature after putting it together, though - the simple quests get old pretty quickly, and the combat isn't deep enough to make multiplayer much of a draw."

http://www.el33tonline.com/images/cache/6025.jpg

Tornado Outbreak (Wii): 6.5 "Tornado Outbreak is a pretty shameless knockoff of Namco Bandai's Katamari Damacy series, conceptually speaking, but as far as knockoffs go, this one isn't bad."

http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2009/152/960504_20090602_790screen004.jpg

Dirt 2 (Wii): 4.5 "The Wii version of Dirt 2 is a quick-and-dirty approximation of versions of the game for other platforms. What could have been a great game in a revered series just didn't get the undivided attention it needed."

http://www.juegosdb.com/wp-content//dirt-2-wii.jpg

Family Fun Football (Wii): 4.5 "FFF starts simple and later becomes boring and monotonous. For instance, once you realize it takes only one "long pass" play to score a touchdown, there's simply no reason to choose any of the other three plays available - ever."

http://www.videogamesblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/family-fun-football-tecmo-wii-screenshot.jpg

Mysims Agents (Wii): 7.0 "As an agent of the sims Protection Agency, you solve a variety of cases by talking to other Mysims characters, looking for clues, and collecting pieces of evidence."

http://web-vassets.ea.com/u/f/eaonline/eaw/Assets/Richmedia/Image/Screenshots/my-sims-agent-wii-screenshot-2_656x369.jpg

Might & Magic: Clash Of Heroes (Ds): 8.5 "2007's Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords proved that RPGs and puzzlers could make beautiful babies, and Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is the most attractive one yet."

http://www.myds.com.au/img/game/Might---Magic-Clash-of-Heroes-1.jpg

Mini Ninjas (Wii): 7.5 "There were several spells, items, and characters that I virtually never used simply because there was no reason to; in this case, less could have been more. Fortunately, aside from slightly disappointing boss fights and a clunky spell/item-use system, the game has few other faults."
