@ OP

I don't know if this is neccessary or not, but I expanded on the explanation of Sazh's DLC. People seem to keep asking about specifics so this should clear it up.

"Heads or Tails": An episode depicting Sazh's time in Serendipity and expands on Chocolina's character. Features two new card games: "Chrono Bind" and "Serendipity Poker". Unlocks Sazh as an ally upon completion (Synergist). Note, there are no battles in this DLC, just the card games. Also, Serah and Noel do not appear in the episode either. ($4.99 PSN.)

Update!

SE announced the Jihl Nabaat Coliseum DLC releasing next week. You may remember Jihl as the PSICOM Commander in XIII, who intercepted Sazh and Vanille in Nautilus, taking them prisoner after Dajh crystalizes.

In the battle, she can summon PSICOM soldiers to combat Noel and Serah; her crystal can be harvested like the other Coliseum enemies. Once summoned, she is a Saboteur.

Square-Enix blog entry: https://member.eu.sq...lable-next-week

JP XIII-2 info: http://finalfantasy...._Fantasy_XIII-2

Thanks to Venterrqua for the heads-up, as always!

EDIT: Some pics

Thanks for the detailed information! I usually try to keep info in the first post kind of short, since it's working out to be along list, and I hadn't played it when it released.

If anyone has any questions regarding the DLC or further explanations of existing DLC, you are free to post them. (Just no speculation. I'm trying to keep this factual.)

Never liked Jihl, she was kind of a bitch in XIII. I'm hoping for a little Hope or Snow story, like the Sazh Heads or Tails DLC, but with less card games though it was pretty fun to play poker.

Yeah, it was a nice little get-away from all the fighting. I figured that Snow and Hope would be in the Coliseum, probably as a Sentinel and Medic.

We just have to wait and see, as Square is so fond of making us do.

I will make you a safe bet; There will be a story DLC of Snow, and a story DLC of lightning. And no other story DLC unless they decide to the continue after the ending.

There's only room in the Historia Crux for one more story, which SE confirmed to be about Lightning and Serah in Valhalla. I'm thinking Snow will most likely appear in his XIII-2 form in the Coliseum, but so far there's nothing but the Fragments to suggest such a thing.

Last I heard, there's a Snow DLC and a 'Very large' Lightning DLC in the works. Popular speculation is that the Snow DLC will continue the 'Future is Hope' Paradox Ending.

You're right about the lack of squares, but a way around that (Beyond simply adding a new square I mean) would be to have the final node lead to a room that has several doors leading to future Story DLC's. I certainly wouldn't complain if there were eight gates leading to extensions on the Paradox Endings.

It wasn't confirmed for that to be a playble DLC. It just said that Snow's story would be expanded. I'd expect a novella or manga. If he is DLC, than great! Another DLC I'm not buying!

Actually, it'll be a book. A proper book, not a manga or anything. I forgot about that until I read your post!

Update: Square-Enix has announced that the release of "Lightning: Requiem of a Goddess", the second DLC episode, will release in May.

Source: http://www.game.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ArticleView?articleId=165680&catalogId=10201&langId=44&storeId=10151

While details are scarce, its existence is confirmed and we have a release period. Still waiting for the PSN to update to be sure that the Jihl battle is releasing today.

A big thanks to Venterrqua the Ever-Vigilant for finding the info! Now I just need to be able to edit the top post again...
