Dee continued to run around the garden shooting at the solders.

 

Alex didnt stop running.

"ok.....all i have to do is find that girl with the hat....yes haha!!!!"

He could feel himself tremble inside.

 

"AHHHHHH!!!!"

Akane yelled with anger and she sent more cards to track down Alex.

"where the heck is ace when i need him!!!!???"

 

Rin ran over to Masato and jumped into his shirt pocket and peekd out of it.

 

Alex saw the table in sight and ran to it and then stoped and fell to his knees trying to catch his breath. He looked up and saw the blood. His eyes opend wid.

"w-what happend here...."

Ayano screamed as she ripped the sword out of her and fell onto the table. " That card..... is finally dead..." She smiled but pain was showing clearly on her face.

 

Masato sighed and picked the hatter up he noticed Alex standing there. " Oh hello human, I'm sorry you had to see that, you realize ayano could have just killed herself trying to protect you? Your such an idiot hatter."

 

Ayano didn't even try to talk she just held her stomach and kept her eyes closed. " What do you want human?"

 

Dum shot soldier after soldier stopping them from getting past him to Alex. " They just keep on coming!" He yelled starting to get annoyed.

Alex's eyes were filled with fear.

"i-i....."

Why couldent he get the words out...was it because hes never seen someone die infrount of him or almost die. He backed up a little.

"why....why did i have to see that...."

 

Dee continued to shoot as he ran to his brother.

"wheres Human...is he ok???"

He asked his brother while shooting.

 

Akane watched Dee run out.

"follow them i dont want them to servive!!!"

She yelled and walked back into her castel and up to her room and looked out the window.

"Alex....next time you wont be so lucky....."

 

Rin's eyes wided.

"Hatter!!!"

Ayano pushed Masato away and tried to stand but fell right back down. " Haha that card sure did get me good didn't he?" She stared at the ground for a moment. ' My hat... i need my hat..." She murmmered.

 

" He went back to get Ayano." Dum panted starting to get tired. He reloaded his pistol andstarted shooting again.

Rin looked around and spoted her hat. She jumped out of Masato's pocket and and over to it and grabed it draging it over to Ayano.

"......"

She put it infrount of her.

 

Alex was silent and just watched.

 

"we need to get out of here......"

Dee said.

"they have to end at some pont right...."

He shot some more.

Dum started counting on his finger how many cards were in a box. " I don't have that many fingers!!!" He yelled.

 

The hatter put on her hat and like magic her wound stopped bleeding and she stood up. " Well i'm guessing by the state your in the twins have gotten themselves into troubleagain." She said then walked passed Alex down the path dagger in hand.

 

Masato shook his head slowly smiling a little. " She's always got a trick up her sleeve." He looked over at Alex, " Its wonderland you will get used to it."

 

Ace woke up but didn't open his eyes he wanted to wait until everyone left so he remained collpased on the table as if he were dead.

"ah!!! when will Human tell Anayo that we need help!!!"

Dee was gating frustrated with all theses cards.

 

"umm...yea....."

Alex said and watched her walk past him. He looked over at Masato.

"maybe.....im having a hard time doing that..."

He looked at the guy on the table and then looked away.

 

Rin jumped off the table and watched the hatter walk off.

"Masato....do you think she will be ok....?"

Masato shook his head. " I'm giving her 20 minutes tops before she passes out." he said having seen this kind of thing before.

 

Ayano stabbed a card that was about to get Dee. " You shoudl really watch your back idiot #2." She said then smirked covering her blood stained shirt so that Dum wouldn't freak out.

 

Dum smiled and hugged Ayano, " Yay!! we are saved!!"

 

Ayano went pale and detached Dum from herself, "ow..." She whimpered.

Rin noded a little.

 

Alex looked around.

 

Dee crosed his arms.

"im not an idiot....."

He sighed and then saw her face get pail once Dum huged her.

"hey...is everything ok...Anayno....?"

" Ya, never better." She said fighting off the soldier. She noticed they started to thin out and she sighed in relief usually she would enjoy this but right now she just wanted to take a nap.

 

Dum looked at her worried but continued to fight until the last card was gone. " Few..." Dum smiled at their work.

 

Masato looked at Alex, " Since it seems you will be here for a while it would be well suited for me to teach you how to fight.... if you want to stay alive that is."

 

Ayano sighed and sat in the grass catching her breath.

Dee helped fight off the last of them and then walked over to Ayano.

"we should get you back to Masato......"

He said to her.

 

Alex looked at him.

"yea...i would like that...."

He said.

Dum helped Ayano up and put her arm over his shoulder. " You don't look so good..." He said and looked over at dee. he started back down the path toward the table. "Masato? What happened..... to ayano?" He askedletting her sit back down on the grass.

 

Masato nodded, " She will be fine there for now, just don't let her fall asleep. The human and i will be back later." He said the invited Alex to come withhim. " Oh Rin make sure they don't do anything stupid."

Dee helped her walk as well.

 

Alex followed Masato and looked back at her.

"i hope she is going to be ok...."

 

Rin noded.

"ok i will!"

She waid and walked over to Ayano and sat down next to her.

"how are you feeling Hatter?"

Ayno mummbled mostly to herself and absent mindedly picked at the grass. " Like a fish in a campfire..." Ayano stopped herself from falling over but swayed slightly. " My hat... is wearing off...."

 

Masato walked into a clearing where there were assorted weapons and trees with painted targets. He looked Alex over and nodded. " Your definatly a sword guy. Hmm reminds me of Ace...." Masato shook his head and picked up two light thin swords. " He handed one to Alex and twirled his a little. " First thing about using a sword, it to have a strong stance." He said using the back of his sword to tap Alex's knees.

 

Dum sat next to the hatter and sighed. " Well Masato said not to let you fall asleep so why don't we play a game?"

Rin looked sad and craled into her lap.

"its going to be ok....."

She said in a soft voice....."

 

Alex looked at the sword and took it.

"im supos to learn how to use this....iv never even used one befor...."

He felt him tap his knees and then kept his balnce.

 

Dee sat on the other side of her.

"yes, a game sounds fun"

He smiled.

"what should we play?"

The hatter thought for a moment, " A game hmm?" Ayano thought for a moment.

 

Suzu was out on her walk when she spotted the hatter and overheard their conversation. " I think Ayano has had enough exitement for the day why don't we take you to the castle to get you fixed up." She said noticing her blood stained shirt.

 

Ayano opened her mouth to protest but Suzu eyed her with her attempt at a glare. Ayano sighed and bowed her head, " As you wish my queen."

 

Dum helped Ayano up and put Rin on her hat. " Yay to the castle!" He said cheerfully.

 

Masato nodded, " Good, but yu aren't going to be able to concentrate on this if you have something else on your mind." He sighed, " I apologize about worrying you over the Jabberwocky. None of us would ask you to fight the beast considering even Ayano barely escaped with her life. There is nothing for you to worry about." He said hoping his little lie would calm the boy down so he would start focusing on his lesson.

Rin sat on her hat and looked at the queen.

 

Dee jumped upp and help Ayano aslo.

"yay i love going to the castle!"

 

Alex looked at him.

"i dont have to fight it!!! thank god!"

"really...i dont have to....good...."

He sighed with releaf and his grip on the sword losend.

Masato noticed his grip lighten on the sword he used his blade to knock the sword out of his hands. " Lesson number two, never let your guard down around an opponent." He said motioning for Alex to pick up the sword.

 

Suzu smiled and whistled, a few seconds after she did a pure white horse came galloping down the trail. She lifted Ayano onto the horse and took the reins. " Shall we go then?"

 

Ayano rested her head against the horses neck and watched the queen silently.

 

Dum stood next to the horse petting it with utter delight at the soft creature. " Hello horsy."

 

Once the group had left Ace's eyes snapped open and he sat up. He took a vile of a dark purple liquid and drank a small bit of it. His head wound dissapeared and he stretched as if he had merely fallen asleep. " Thank you Akane." He whispered and tucked the vile back under is belt.

"wha!"

Alex jumped back a little.

"ok...."

He picked the sword back up.

"what if he ends up killing my by accadent....."

He sighed a little and moved some of his bangs out of his face.

 

Dee looked at the horse and smiled.

 

Akane stared out her window of her room.

"......."

She walked over to her night stand and picked up a picture of her and Ace when they were little. She sighed and then put back face down. Akane walked out of her room and into her thrown room and sat down on her big chair.

Masato pointed his sword in Alex's direction. " Third lesson, don't think about your own weaknesses looks for them in your opponent. For example Ayano is a skilled fighter, but when her anger takes control of her she becomes to confident." He said lowering his sword slightly. " But you also want to be aware of your own weaknesses so you can work on eliminating them. " In your case you are the opposite of the hatter you need to gain confidence."

 

Once at the castle Suzu had her servants take Ayano to a clean white bedroom. They started tending to her wounds while she sat at the table with tea overseeing their work. She invited the twins and rin to sit. " Here i had my servants make a special chair and teacup for you for your next visit Rin." Gesturing to the miniature chari and teacup.

 

Dum sat down but kept his eyes glued to Ayano.

 

Ayano faught the servants pushing away their medicines and bandages. " I'm fine im telling you leave me alone!" The servants had to restrain her completely but she continued yelling obcenities as they worked.

Alex noded.

"ok...so control myself but yet have confidnece.....i think i can handle that."

Alex took in what Masato was saying. He glansed at his sword and then looked back at Masato.

"keep focaus Alex....."

 

Rin looked at the cute teacup and the chair.

"aww there so cute!"

She sat down in the chair and smiled and then looked over at Ayano.

"there just trying to help you Hatter....."

 

Dee sat next to his brother and looked at him.

"shes going to be ok...Suzu knows what she is doing"

He tryed to make his brother feel better.

" Good, now when you are facing an opponent it is wise to start with defence test their abilities. You can block with your sword as it is your shield as well. Ill demonstrate, come take a swing at me." He said still relaxed as ever.

 

" I don't care get me out of.... out of....." One of the nurses drugged Ayano and she started to fall asleep her words becomes slurred and her body relaxing against the restraints.

 

Dum nodded and picked up his tea cup, he laughed a little at Ayano's half awake state.

Alex noded and then took a few feet forward and swung his sword at him.

"am i even doing this right....?"

He thought to himself.

 

Rin looked over at her and then back at the queen.

"shes is going to be alright.....right?"

She said in a small worried tone.

 

"sleep well Ayano"

Dee said with a smile and then grabed a cup of tea.

An hour later.

 

" I didn't take the pancake i swear!" Ayano yelled sitting straight up in bed. She looked around and saw the queen and the others... but there were clones? Ayano swayed a little bit trying to make sense of this new discovery.

 

" Hi Hatter, how are the drugs treating you? The servant accidently gave you to much.... haha." Dum laughed nervously wondering what the already insane hatter would be like when she was on pain meds.

 

" I'm.... execellent..." She stumbled out of bed and walked out of the castle.

 

Ace was lost and found himself at the white queens castle, " Gah! I took the wrong path again!" he noticed the hatter stumbling out of the castle and put his hand on his sword.

Dee looked at her and tilted his head.

"what did you do to her......?"

Dee stood up.

 

Rin's eyes widend a little.

"Hatter......?"

 

Dee watched her leave.

"Ayano wait....!"

It was to late she was already out of the castel.

"Dum i think we should follow her incase something happens"
