Well, you have to think about it. Unless Disney gets the rights back to Tarzan, there will be no KH1 remake, as it was one of the important starting worlds. It seems alot of people keep forgetting about that one little detail.

Well, it's got a big Sora/Donald arguement, it's got several Trinity marks, as well as the Jungle King Keyblade, and one of the Navi Gummi pieces. Plus, it's just a part of the game in general. It wouldn't really be KH1 without the Tarzan world. It'd be like if they took out Haloween Town.

Change that world with one about the Jungle Book. Add the fight between Sora/Donald, the Navi Gummi, Trinity marks, and a new jungle themed Keyblade.

But let's be serious for a second. I was not aware of the fact that Disney doesn't have the rights for Disney's Tarzan anymore.

 

But even if that is the case... I guess with minimal effort from SE's and/or Disney's lawyers it wouldn't be a problem to release an HD version of KH FM since it is just a polished version of an existing title which didn't used copyrighted material without permission. Maybe they would even give permission for it without any discussions or objections who knows. If both doesn't work, which I doubt, they could just share a veeeeeeeeery small amount of their profit by the sales of the collection with them. It would be a win-win situation.

 

In any way: A simple conference between these companies would do it.

im pretty sure the people who now have the lincese to Tarzan wouldnt mind if they released the game again i mean its not that big of a deal im sure they just like have to ask them and im sure its like "well as long as you dont use it in a future game its ok"

Wow, they lost the rights? Jeez, Disney. Get it together. I think switching it with the Jungle Book wouldn't hurt, but they'd probably be unable to do that. Re-releasing the game shouldn't cause too much trouble I wouldn't think.

 

As nice as it would be to have remakes, I'm more interested in playing future titles for the thrill of new content, not spiffed up stuff I've seen before. Sure, it'll be fun to have remakes but it will probably take a long time to remake all those titles, resulting in an even longer waiting period for KH3 which everyone's already complaining about. I don't mind the side games as long as they give us more info, and remakes can come later if they need too. Then again, it would be better for all the folk who don't have the money to waste on all those extra consoles...

i understand why they did it. 3 kingdom hearts games that you can play on your 3DS, were included. but, im sorry, i am not thrilled about THIS being our 10 year anniversary celebration!

Square had the rights to use Tarzan in KH1, and they still have the rights to use it in any variations of KH1.

Don't you think for a TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY it should be something slightly more special? Fans already have 358/2 Days and re:coded, not to mention they're fillers and not important to the series (I know someone will argue this, so go right on ahead, but they seriously weren't needed. I like 358/2 days, hate re:coded, but they weren't necessary). Fans have been waiting years for an HD remake. Its been 2 years since news about KH3D and still no NA release date. They're messing up left and right. People are pissed about 3D because its yet another console just to keep up with the story and this is what we get for being loyal? 2 DS games we already have and aren't that beneficial to the story? Gee, thanks.

 

They just like milking people for all they've got instead of listening to them and giving them what they want. $200 for 2 games we already have and cards is a disgrace. If it was the HD remakes, Id gladly give them that $200 with a smile on my face. So not only did they lose their KH fans because they lost their patience waiting on KH3 to the point a lot of people arent interested anymore, they lost even more fans because no one wants the anniversary box except stupid people who will pay $200 for that monstrosity. They're digging their own grave.

And seriously I don't get why game developers and publishers aren't listening to their fans. By listening to suggestions, ideas and wishes the majority of the fans support they would make a great game which the gamers love and therefore BUY which would increase their sales enormously... seriously... the fans are getting great games and the gaming companies make more profit... what is so hard about that??????

@Topic: I agree that they aren't considering the fans. They are just helping Nintendo to use KH to make the 3DS more appealing. But you know what, I'm going to make my own anniversary box. I'm going to import the Wonder Nya plush, the soundtrack, a keyblade keychain or two, and whatever merchandise I can find. And then I'll get a box, write "Kingdom Hearts 10th Anniversary" on it and Tada! I have my 10th anniversary box. And it will probably come to around the price of importing the actual Anniversary box.

Yes, it was disappointing. However, let's face it, we've never heard any rumor about any HD remakes except 'they're considering it'. But that doesn't mean they are working on it. I am pretty sure that the Box seems logical however, I didn't expect those two past titles be included and hey, this might not be the end for the 10th anniversary so people need to cheer up! We still have 11 months left of 2012.

 

Now, I am excited to see the actual box and KH3D Cover art!
