ACTA GOT PASSED.

Recommended Posts

Damn, this isn't good. And Japan signed it, every country did it. We might have to change our accounts if things get bad. SOPA and PIPA were really just the beginning. GO ANONYMOUS!

If it wasn't for Anonymous, this might not have happened.

no offense but i find it kinda funny how everyone is talking as though this will start some sort of war

It will probably not start a war, but maybe a global riot. Think about it like this that the governments of all the countries have ignored the concept of democracy and pulled this crap on us in absolute secrecy! The sopa and pipa stunt took way too much attention from the real issue known as acta that has been in negotiation for about 2 years now! I bet a lot of people will be pissed considering that their leaders have just acted on their own accord... I am...

I'm honestly not very worried about this. Who here seriously believes the governments will take down the whole entire internet? Our society has grown too dependent on it that no one would be so stupid. They may suspend YouTube or FB (which would actually be a good thing) but in general they're not going to take down literally everything. Chill out, guys.

I will type in bold Green letters so you guys will read what I'm typing.

ACTA was signed 3 months ago. (October) The U.S SUPPORTS IT. IT IS A EUROPEAN BILL THAT CAN GO GLOBAL IF EVERY WORLD SUPERPOWER SUPPORTS IT. NOT EVERY SUPERPOWER HAS SUPPORTED THE BILL.

A Facebook page known as Brock Obama and Amabo Kcorb were saying it passed, just to see everyone's reaction. They got their entertainment but they should not be messing with other people's thoughts. ACTA is a serious issue if it does go global and will actually happen in the United States.

Most teenagers are finding out about ACTA because of the Internet. IT WAS SIGNED BY OBAMA 3 MONTHS AGO.

Edit: Another page, Lex the Luxray, has explained it in depth. See if you can find his status on Facebook. It's a community page as well.

>Roleplay Facebook.

I'M NOT ALONE?!

Well... i think most people know that it has been signed ages ago, by the US and several other countries. But it is first now that it is beginning to hit the EU, in fact it already have hit EU (Poland and Ireland). The rest of the EU are not brave enough to say no to this nor do they intend to as this will benefit themselves as pirating has been costing all the countries quite the sums of money.

Understandable :P And who knows, maybe this acta will just take down sites like rapidshare and so on and ignore sites like KH13 considering that this site afterall promotes the KH games :P

I REALLY hope corporations are not stupid enough to take down sites that they can use for market research, such as KH13 or can use for advertising, such as YouTube.

Absolutely nothing will happen. It's pretty much additional enforcement of copyright laws that were already in-place and everyone breaking them knew they were doing something illegal.

SOPA and PIPA were really the only laws that threatened much of the internet. The only people that will feel the effects of ACTA are the ones that were already doing something illegal.

Basically, it's outlawing copyright infringement, only they are actually going to try and do something about copyright infringement.
