I strongly suggest against that

 

Not only is it typically a big no no to use your hair in cosplay, it's especially bad if it's someone like Sora (or any crazy haired characters)

Wigs are the way to go, and they don't itch if you get the right one, get a nice wig cap and wash it after a few uses (though, after washing, you WILL have to restyle)

I say, find a good, thick and long brown wig, look up some styling tutorials, and follow those.

It's a lot harder to use your hair unless you have the perfect hair for said character your cosplaying, so just go with a wig, you won't harm your hair and you can style it before hand and if you don't like it, wash out the product and try again

I'll think about it I did my own hair for Ventus didnt turn out that bad. but I know for my girlfriend, who will be cosplaying riku is gonna need a wig. she's a redhead
