Nomura acknowledged that it'd be hard for new players to get into the series at this point, and hoped to alleviate that with the 10th anniversary of the series, so hearing this strengthens my thoughts on some sort of HD remake for past games, most likely KH1 and maybe other games from the series.

I think the 10th anniversary box must, in addition to celebrating this great series, entice newcomers and reward long-time fans.

For the newcomers, the box would include HD remakes of KHFM and KH2FM (which would include Re:CoM) as newcomers would likely not have access to the original PS2 games, and they are essential if the newcomer wishes to understand the series at all).

As well, for the fans, there could be an encyclopedia on the KH universe, explaining light, darkness, the Keyblade, the Heartless, etc. It'd be like the Hyrule Historia book released in Japan recently. It might even have never-before-seen concept art. Oh, and a CD with the best music of the series would be a nice inclusion.

I'd assume that the box would cost at least 80 bucks ($20 for KH, $20 for RE:CoM, $20 for KH2, $20 for the book and CDs). The initial copies of the boxes would probably have something in there signed by Nomura to encourage sales.

Just my two cents.

*crossing fingers for HD Final Mixes* Hoping... hoping... STILL hoping. Especially since Nomura mentioned the newcomers.... Nomura will die if he's leading us on like this

A message saying "you just got trolled", and when you open it, it plays trololo, a video of Nomura on troll mask, hmm.. what else, disfigured Sora action figure.. xD

But in all honesty, I think it would be something merchandise in nature. If it were merchandise, I hope you get something that is signed by Nomura-san himself (and not a printed one :( ), that would make my 2012!!

tutti frutti. Mostly out of curiosity, will the Anniversary Box be with regular pre-orders/sales or with Collectors/Limited Editions of the game? Just a thought for in we the box is released outside of Japan.
