So, do you plan to get the Wii U when it comes out? I plan on getting one ( but not exactly on the first day it comes out. Getting it when some games like Smash bros and Zelda come out for it). The graphics look great on it and I just know that it will have a great lineup of games over time. I am hoping that it will come with a VC where you can buy GameCube games. That would really convince me (and other Nintendo fans) to buy the Wii U.

  • Rob told you guys the Wii U would be priced at $1-$1000.

  • if there will be a kingdom hearts game on it, hell yeah!

  • I've been and, you all are god damn party poopers. If you can't fit in $300/$350 into your budget, I don't know why most of you are going to get the other consoles coming out. If you could save money,

Huh.. thats true.. I think action adventure games like Kingdom Hearts ( Pretty obvious since im on a kh fan site) And LEGEND OF ZELDA... Some platformers like mario and sonic.. and classic rpgs like dragon quest... And some third person shooters like Resident Evil

Well do you like the idea of how the controller works in with the gameplay on wii u or would you rather have a regular Ps3 controller? Also, it depends if you want to wait for more games to come out on the Wii U. The PS3 has a lot more because it's been out for so long. So more choices.

See the thing is that.. the ps3 is gonna be dead in a year while the Wii U.. Metroid and Pikmin.... And Batman Arkham Asylum and Assasins Creed.. God knows what else.. And the tablet controller looks really good and unique

Considering you're basically dismissing any logical reason xaon puts forward (out longer more games, types of games, Classic controller) its evident you've already made up your mind on a wii u, and no discussion can really change what you set your heart on.

There's always used consoles at a cheaper price remember when it comes to the ps3.

I would wait for more games.

And price drops.

unless there's a game out you really want

Basically it comes down to whether or not you want to experience Nintendo catching up but not getting ahead, or Sony and Microsoft sitting around Herp Derping for another two or three years.

To me the Wii U is really cool! HD graphics, game chat forums, remote control for your tv, great family fun with Nintendo Land and NSMBU, play games without the tv, internet on the fly, and many more promising things to come! To me i see it as a future, a whole nother beast in gaming. Then again who knows the future. If you wanna be part of possibly something great then go for the Wii U. If you want a fall back and choose something more familier then go for the PS3. If you wanna wait to see whats in store in the future then go ahead and wait for the next new console. Just know that Wii U people will be having fun without you ;)

fun fact, the Wii U's RAM is nearly half as fast the PS3 or 360's...

Apparently the Wii U can upscale Wii games to run at 1080p, so that's pretty cool!

Nice to hear a positive against the torrent of complaints

I'd be surprised if it couldn't.

I didn't know that. That's actually really neat!

I never knew that. O.O

I can't wait until I'm able to use mine! >83

Once I finally get a Wii U I'm definitely trying that out with Skyward Sword and a few other games :DD

I'd be surprised if it couldn't.

Well, first of all, it's Nintendo, so I'm surprised you're surprised

Second, the PS3 and 360 can't do that to their games

(PS3 only does 720p, correct?)

Not sure, never played a PS2 game on a PS3 before. I do still own a PS2.

Well that's understandable, considering most PS3s can't play PS2 games

So, in my opinion, this is special enough for it to be a surprise

Who thought this was a good idea?

Whoever the genius who came up with HD remakes and PS2 Classics is ;)

Good point. It really is all about money now, isn't it?

It's never NOT about money, that hasn't changed

Well, maybe it's gotten a bit better now that we have more of a collective conscience, but yeah, always munny

The first gen PS3s had PS2 hardware, which is why they were so large. With the increasing demand for a slimmer PS3, they took out the PS2 hardware. Pretty disappointing, was hoping I could play PS2 games on my PS3.

I have a fat PS3. It can't play PS2 games.

And PS2 technology can be shrunk massively

That's not the reason the feature was taken out

Huh, that's actually pretty cool. I thought that they might look a bit better, due to HDMI cables simply being better than composite cables, but didn't think they would actually make the effort to up-scale the games.

If Wii U was cheaper I think a number of people would be far more willing to buy it.

I'm watching Coby's Lets Play (Super Mario Bros U) and it looks stunningly beautiful. But I can't afford one and probably won't ever be able to until like Wii U-X823.7 comes out.

Also, some PS3/Xbox fanboys need to let go and realize you can enjoy other consoles. They're not like a girlfriend, you can shop around and play with many.
