How and when did you get into kingdom hearts?

Whats your story? my story started between jan and april 2010 I saw kingdom hearts birth by sleep on playasia when it just can out and decided to research the series. I then ordered KH2FM because I already had a jp ps2 and heard it was a great package with 2 games for $34.99 and KH2FM had English voices.

so yeah ordered KH2FM+ and KH birth by sleep,then I went to the store to buy Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.

And I instantaneously fell in love with the series also found out about this website 3 days after the playasia incident and I am glad to be apart of this series!(p.s. TERRA Y U SO HARD?! D:)

well when i saw the ad for the first KH i wanted it so badly but didnt have a ps2. When i finally got a ps2 i had gotten a $20 bestbuy card at which point i went to bestbuy but then my dad made me get wheel of fortune, cuz he wanted a game the whole family could play (real fair me vs my family) D:. After christmas of the same year i got another bestbuy gift card this time i ran to KH grab it then ran back to pay for it before my dad could find another "family game" we could all play

I was pretty young and I was at a rental store and saw kingdom hearts and played it and didnt get to far. Then later when KH2 came out I rented that and played all the way through but being a kid still I didn't care much for it. Then about 2 years after that I played KH2 again and fell in love with it then got all the games exept the first one.

Watched the KH commercial back in '03, thought it was the coolest thing ever but had no PS2.

Late '05~ early '06 we finally bought a PS2; noticed the KHII commercials back in '06 and went to Walmart to buy it.

Because all I really cared about was seeing the Disney worlds and having to take turns with siblings, I paid like...no attention to the story and felt nothing when the emotional stuff happend. @v@;

Wasn't until sometime in '07 that I re-played the game on my own and actually payed attention to everything. This was also when I took a crack at playing the first KH, it was difficult as fck and gave up for a long while.

I think this was the same year I recieved a GameBoy Advance as a gift, so I went out and bought CoM; I LOVED the battle style, only to find out it was one of the least favored battle styles in the series....bah.

It was after that that I became obsessed, and here I iz 5 years later still obsessed. OwO;

Saw the commercials for it before it came out. Wanted it quite badly, since myself and my whole family are huge Disney fans, and I knew how cool Final Fantasy was. So I asked for it for Christmas and, well, got it. And there went my free time.

I saw the commercials for 358/2 Days. I thought it looked interesting, so I rented Kingdom Hearts II (couldn't find KHI) and loved it. I bought 358/2, loved it, and that's when I became a fan.

*Clears throat* When I was 8 years old my mother took me to Gamestop to purchase a video game for my older brother. I was roaming the aisles and saw their was a whole bunch of crap! No game was suitable for my brother's needs and they didn't even touch my standards. Then my mom brought KH I to me at first I was like "uhmm?" But then I read the back and scratched my head. Then I was like "I like this one." Then my mom bought it. When we got home my mom says it was actually for me. My brother beat it first as I watched then I went through by myself. Anyways it was so fun!

I was in 6th grade and we had a dress up as your hero day at school and one of my friends was dressed as sora (didnt know at the time) she told me about the game so i decided to play chain of memories(my friends one) and i got frustrated and then i later forgot about it, two years after another friend brought up and i was like i gotta get this game (like a yr or so after kh2 came out cant remember ) so i saved up money and i finally got it the week before i went on vacation to disneyland (thanks to my mom and dads help ) played it and immediatly loved it (playing as roxas was awesome) then my sis saw i liked kh2 and lent me her kh1 then i got khrecom then the 358 bbs recoded and ya now im waiting for 3d and 3 http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png

I played Roxas' part of Kh2 at his released date and I enjoyed it,but I wasn't a fan back then and I had no PS2 so I kind of forgot about KH for many years until I saw the KH 358 2 days' trailers on the Nintendo Channel,I was impressed by the cutscenes(for a DS game that's awesome) then I saw the gameplay and it was 4 players co op,so I went buy it about 3 days after the release and I love it,I didn't played any other games until I beat it,the story was so interesting and the gameplay was great.Since than I'm a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts AND Final Fantasy,I never cared about FF until I saw Cloud and Sephiroth in Kh2,they were interesting characters to me and I wanted to know them more so I bought Dissidia and FFVII,but that's an other story . All to say that I have 358 2 days printed in my heart for introduced my such great series

I saw commercials for Kingdom Hearts 2 before it came out. When I was young I really wanted it to the point where I would save up pennies just so that I could afford the ps2 in a pawn shop I saw. But unfortunately it was never meant to be at the time since they told me it didn't work. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-cry.png Many years later I was at Target buying a game and got a free gift card with a purchase and to my surprise I saw KH 358/2 days on sale for $14.99. So I bought it even though I watched all the cutscenes on youtube for the games and don't regret buying it to this day. I bought all the other recent handheld games thanks to this one game now I'm a fan!

 

One wish of mine is to play the game I was never meant to play when I was young on a Nintendo console (despite what all the Sony fanboys say that the main games are exclusive to Sony consoles) and that is Kingdom Hearts 2. If the other main games come over along with it then so be it. I'll buy them and enjoy the heck out of them and if this all comes true then there just might be a chance that Kingdom Hearts 3 will come over to the Wii"U" as well.

 

I can only wish right now but will never stop believing thats for sure.

I was press-ganged by my friends into playing the first game around the time Chain of Memories came out. I loved it and followed it ever since, even importing the Final Mixes. Lingodm Hearts is the only seires in which I currently have hard-copies of all of the games (I usually trade in my games when I'm done. I have all of the numbered Metal Gear games, though.)

Lol I'm one of the ones who was there from the start. saw the commercials, then for christmas 2002 I got it. Me and my mama were excited cause it had the nightmare before christmas in it lol. Ya know the whole first begining part is amazing with the upbeat music video and the beautiful island and then moves on to the dive to the heart with the dark void with only a stained glass platform and strange dark creatures, I was seven and just like woah, this. is. awesome. I was sucking it up in 5th grade when I began to see the trailers on tv for the original KH. I reeeeally wanted to play it because of the FF and Disney elements so i worked my ass off in school to prove to my parents that i deserved it and as it turns out that was the best judgement call of my life.

My little brother got KH2 (only for the Disney people) he got stuck on Pirates of the Carribban so he gave up for 4 years and then he started again and loved it so I watch him do it and it seemed fun and then 1 year after he had finshed it he got KH BBS and KH1 so that day I tryed KH1 and then fell in love with the game and its story lines and then for my birthday I got KH 358/2 Days and now me and my Brother now own neally every KH game But the Final Mix for 1,2 and BBS and DDD and that how this all started

My older brother had gotten a PS2 and KH1 for Christmas. I watched him play the game with my eyes glued to the screen and thought: "This is different..But awesome!"

From then, he had gotten KH2 then Re: COM. I still continued to watch but thought the series was so amazing that I decided to play for myself years later. I have been a die hard fan ever since.

My cousin got me hooked in 2008 - I watched all the KH1 and KH2 cutscenes because I didn't (and still don't) want a PS2. I bought my first KH game (358/2 Days) a year later and I'm still obsessed with KH.

It was 2007 and I was looking through a Walmart flyer. KH2, which had been released a year or so ago, was on sale, and caught my eye. I had heard of KH before (but I always thought it was Kingdom OF Hearts lol) and I thought the concept of Disney characters and other characters in a game sounded cool, so I decided I would buy it.

 

When I got to Walmart, the game was all sold out! So I went to Future Shop, and they had the game in stock. I showed them it in the Walmart flyer, and they gave me an extra 10% off!

 

I didn't notice the roman numeral "II" on the cover and it wasn't until I started playing the game that I realized it wasn't the first one. But it didn't matter because I just fell in love with the game and series!

I was 7 when I first played Kingdom Hearts 1 my brother had got it for his birthday and I ended up playing it a few years later we got KH2 I played that alot needless to say I trained to get to lvl100 to beat sephiroth and got 358/2 days for christmas the year it came out aced through that got BBS at another christmas bought re:coded around the time it came out and I'm planning to get Dream Drop Distance as soon as it comes out. I realised I was in love with the series when I got headphones to hear the opening of 358/2 days because my family where talking loudly and I couldn't hear it.
