Mariah kept her eyes on James as he departed. She didn't know whether or not to feel surprised that he had left so abruptly. But what she did know was that she felt relieved that he was gone--for now. James appeared harmless, maybe even like someone she wouldn't have minded getting to know under normal circumstances. But Tifa was telling her a different story.

 

Her attention turned to the first man, whom James had bumped into. "Don't tell me you live in the area, too. Man, I feel like such a hermit, not being more social with the people around here," she laughed regretfully. "Well, I'm sure you already know that I'm Mariah. Mariah Gates." She extended her hand again, this time feeling no fear--only warmth and happiness.

Misaki woke up and looked at her watch. "It's already 5pm?" she mummbled and got off the couch. She bumped into something and fell on the floor. "Ow.." she mummbled but when she looked up, it was a ghost looking girl. Misaki's eyes widened. Before she could say anything, the girl said, "Calm down. It's only me, Yuna." Misaki got up and stared. "Woah, i thought you were stuck inside of me." she said. "Well, while you were sleeping, i kinda found a way to be outside of you body, but i'm still apart of you." Yuna said and crossed her arms. Msaki was still processing this. "Okay then. Time to go stop by that cafe." Misaki said and rubbed the back of her head. By then, Yuna dissapeared, she was back inside Misaki. Misaki walked outside and headed over to the cafe

August walked along through the streets. "Man, doesn't this wind feel great?" asked Vaan. August had to admit that it was a beautiful day and that he was glad he was out and about instead of reading a book, studying, surfing the web, or playing video games. All he had to do was keep an open mind and sharp eyes out for one of the other inhabiters. "You know, ever since that feeling we had this morning I've been testing what I can do in this form. I think that the guy who connected to us earlier is just a little up ahead, but I also feel like there's somebody familiar near by. I can't really get a lock on that one though." August took this as a rare opportunity to make a jab at Vaan. "You're a Sky Pirate, man. I thought that finding things was kind of supposed to be your thing," he thought. "Ha ha, you're hilarious," Vaan responded sarcastically. "Alright, inhabiter guy right ahead." While looking for the inhabiter mentioned, August's eyes were drawn to a red headed girl nearby. She was pretty enough, but what really struck August was that she seemed familiar, though he could swear he'd never seen her before in his life. Heck, he'd just recently moved here from London, so he still carried with him his accent. "Focus," he told himself, and resumed searching for the guy who had connected with him earlier that morning. Maybe if he found another inhabiter he could get a better clue as to what on earth was going on here.

Sara had continued walking until she felt someone looking at her. She looked around until her glaze paused onto a guy she had never seen in her life...and yet he seemed..familiar. It was strange. It was like she was seeing an old friend whom she have never met before. Then realization hit Sara. That's the 'old friend' you were talking about Balthier? She asked in shock. That guy has another final fantasy character inside him? One that you know? Balthier chuckled, Well, it certainly took you long enough to figure out that truly dizzying puzzle. Now, then. Shall we go and perhaps if you're willing, speak to that young man. I believe I know who is inhabiting him. Well who is it? Oh, no. I couldn't tell you just yet. That would ruin the fun. Sara muttered something quite rude to Balthier and started walking towards the guy.

 

God, how am I going to start this conversation? It's not like she could just go up to him and said, Hey! How's going? I sort of feel like I know you but we haven't met before. Oh and do you have by any chance a video game character inside? No way?! Me too! Yeah, that'll get her shipped off to the insane society pretty quickly. Before, she could think of what to say, Sara had already walked right up towards the stranger. "Um...Hey." Was all she could say.

Okay, let's face it. August felt awkward. "Umm, hi there. My name's August, and you are? Sorry if we've already met and I've forgotten you. You seem familiar, but I've seen a lot of new faces since moving out here from London." Inwardly he thought "Hey Vaan, are you getting the same feeling I am from this girl? Do you know what's going on?" Vaan considered it for a moment. "It feels like... but no, I mean, she's a girl and he's "the leading man," so how would that work?" Both August and Vaan were confused by the situation they had found themselves in and didn't quite know how to handle it.

Sara was relieved. So, she wasn't going crazy. The guy thought she was familiar too. That made her feel a little better. "I'm Sara. I've lived here for quite awhile. And no. We, uh, haven't met before...but I do feel like I've known you from somewhere." Sara wasn't sure how to ask him if a Final Fantasy character was inhabiting him as well. I mean, who would ask a question like that the first time you meet someone? Perhaps, I should jump in to save you from the embarrassment. Balthier said to her and before she could respond he continued. Now, really Vaan. You're telling us that you truly don't remember me? I am the leading man after all. No one could possibly forget me but it has been awhile. I suppose I can forgive you. Sara felt like Balthier's voice wasn't just inside her head but that August kid's head as well. Things were getting strange.

Vaan was shocked. "Balthier! Whoa man, didn't expect to see or, um, meet you here!" answered Vaan. "So you're, like me?" asked August. It seemed to be the least awkward way he could think of saying it, not that this was much more comfortable. He'd expected to run into another inhabiter, but one from the same game? To say August was shocked would be an understatement, especially with the "leading man" having a girl for a host. Had to make going to the bathroom or taking a shower awkward.

Paul and Victoria had gotten to the hotel room and was trying to hide from the fans. When they thought they were safe, Victoria laid on the bed and looked at Paul. "Why did I let you drag me into another tour? This always seems to happen whenever we go somewhere." Victoria told him. "Oh, forget about that. We have to raise money and right now 5 concerts in 5 nights sounds like the best bet for us. Beside you know what people would think if they did know that we need to use the money they give us for my sister's medicial prosessure." Paul told Victoria. Paul's sister has been sick for 3 years now, and was now on the bridge of dieing if they didn't get her an operation. "So I guess we should head out to the Gold Center Arena." Victoria said. And after about 30 minutes they went out and they decided to walk to the center. They looked to make sure no fans saw them and then bumded into August and Sara. Victoria and Paul fell over and their hoods they were wearing came off and showed who they really were.

Sara was a bit shocked at hearing Vaan's voice. But after having Balthier inside of her, seeing other people having video game characters inside of them too...well let's just say it would take a lot too freak Sara out now. Balthier responded to Vaan, I could say the same about you. It is nice to see or feel a familiar face. "Yeah I guess so..It's a bit weird at times to say the least. How long has he been inside of you?" Sara asked August. Before he could answer her, two random people crashed right into them. "Like seriously. There are two people right here." She spoke to them annoyed. Then she looked at the two strangers who had ran right into. "Oh my gosh. You're..." Sara felt her mouth drop wide open.

"It's Victoria and Paul!" August began to shout, but quickly quieted down upon realizing that they wouldn't want a swarm of fans swooping in. In that moment August temporarily forgot about the girl next to him and her question. Having a video game character inside of you and meeting someone else with a character from the same game in the same series? Eh, whatever. Meeting celebrities? HOLY CRAP! Again August was struck by the sense of the two of them being different, and felt like the area where the four of them had gathered was suddenly a hot spot for power. That much power almost always drew attention, and it was rarely the good kind.

Those 2. Those 2 people are the ones we are looking for. How can I be so oblivious? Ingus asked in thought. "So what you're saying is, those 2 are the ones we need, which one is the Sky Pirate?" Luccifer asked. ....Those 2 are Sky Pirates. Both of them actually do know each other. Vaan...Balthier I knew it. "....One of them is a girl though." Luccifer said as he slowly walked, facing them next as in astonishment.

 

Here, allow me. Ingus said. After what he has said, Luccifer drew into a blank and said this: "You 2 must be inhabitors". "....Whoa what did you just do...Don't do that again...woah.." Luccifer complained as he shook his head.

"Why do you always get us caught?" Victoria asked Paul getting up. "Hey, at least he didn't make more fans come to us." Paul said as he got up. Victoria looked at August. "So I guess you are a big fan of us. Well you do seem different. I guess you must be a inhabitor? Well I guess we should tell you that we are too. I have Lightning and Paul has Zack Fair." Victoria told August as she handed him an autograph. "Yeah, thats probably why I am goofy and she is strict." Paul told them. Paul then handed his autograph.

Ackira continued to walk through the street as Fang talked on and on about lecturing her about how everything was different back on her 'world'. Ackira found a nearby bench and sat down, she was quiet tired of Fang running off her ear.

'I have no clue what you are saying Fang. Your telling me about stuff that dont exist! Well i thought didnt...' Ackira thought as she leaned her head back against the bench.

'Exactly. Thats why im telling you. You thought we were just apart of a game did you now?' Fang said in mockingly tone. Ackira scoffed.

'Yeah i did. Its really cool and all that you inhabit me. But why me? Im no where like you.' Ackira admited.

'Thats what makes the perfect match!' Fang said as she laughed. Ackira smiled and stood up.

Something feels weird.... Lightning... She heard Fang say.

"Lightning?" Ackira said aloud as she thought.

"Oh my god.You're Victoria and Paul. Oh my god. " was all Sara could say. First she found out a video game character was inside, then she met another kid who was just like her, and now she was standing right in front of two celebrities who ALSO had video game characters inside of them? You could say she was freaking out. Oh please. Would you just calm down. It's just two famous people. That don't even look that fascinating. Balthier muttered to her, quite upset at not being the center of attention. Oh put a cork in it 'leading man'. Sara retorted back.

"Um, thanks?" responded August reservedly. He never expected the two of them to be so upfront about it. He certainly wasn't. Vaan suddenly became aware of another presence insanely close by, the essence of a brave and skilled bladesman, the one who had made the connection to him just this morning. "You two must be inhabiters" the voice said. August turned to face the male in whom the spirit resided. His day had definitely taken one heck of a twist.

"Uh yeah, Hey there. That wasn't me." He exclaimed as one of the figures turned around. "I apologize...but since you turned, I guess you are. Anyways, My name is L-"

His body bowed down in a manner of showing respect to loyalty and manners. "I am Ingus, The chosen Light of Determination. An Onion Knight. This body is named Luccifer, It is a pleasure to make your aquantinces." Luccifer snapped out of the trance and shook his head again. "I need to get used to that. But...I'm guessing you guys are Sky Pirates...and I'm not sure about the other that are near us.

"I guess you could say that. Vaan's a sky pirate and so is Balthier. For these two, well they're pretty intense warriors, I guess. Lightning and Zack. The actual people are Victoria and Paul, though, can you believe it? Sorry, I've just never met a celebrity before, let alone two. I guess with four other people here, now is the perfect time to ask. Does anyone know what the bloody hell is going on here?"

Yeah i guess you can say shes an old friend. Fang said as she sighed.

"Yeah i know who she is, but why is she here?" Ackira thought back to her.

She may be inhabiting someone as well. Wanna go find out? Fang suggested and from her tone Ackira could have guessed she was smiling.

"Oh no we cant! You know im nothing like you. Maybe i can go look around but thats it. Tell me where she is." Ackira thought back as she wondered what she had just gotten pulled into.

What a good girl! Shes just around the corner, shes surrounded by more inhabitors. Can you handle it?

"Yeah ill try and just walk by and try to not be so suspicous." Ackira thought back and turned around the corner to see a group of people.

Ackira, dont be afraid. They are just like you.

Balthier spoke only to Sara as she turned around to get a look at the new guy, Well, now here's another person. See, aren't you glad I told you to keep going? Things are finally getting interesting. Sara, accidentally spoke out loud, "Oh shut up already." She realized what had happened, and continued quite rushed. "Um no, I didn't mean you. I was uh...talking to Balthier...Anyways, nice to meet you..I suppose. And I'm not a Sky pirate. Balthier is.." No, she isn't. And thankfully too as she would make a horrible sky pirate. Balthier said to everyone. Didn't I tell you to shut up? Sara asked him this time in her mind. I'm sorry. Did you say something? I was far to busy ignoring you. Balthier replied sarcastically. Of all the final fantasy characters she had to get Balthier. Sara thought to herself.

"Right, sorry, that's what I meant," inserted August timidly. "Yeah, this one isn't a sky pirate either, obviously," added Vaan to everyone. "But no worries, I'll whip him into shape in no time."

As I recall, you're not much of a Sky Pirate yourself. Balthier spoke to Vaan with a hint of laugh. Sara shook her head, but smiled slightly. "Alright, so this is nice and all. But I agree with August. Does anybody know whats going on? Because the idiot who is inside of me won't tell me a thing." I beg your pardon. An Idiot? Balthier asked quite shocked. I am no such thing.

MIsaki was leaning back in her chair while drinking soda. She put the cup down and stared out the window. There was a group of people outside. Misaki flinched. come on, those people have inhabiters. let's go meet them. Yuna was saying. Misaki could feel Yuna trying to get her out of her seat. All right, Misaki thought, left a tip in the table and got up and walked outside. She could tell that Yuna was getting all excited and she walked closer to the group.

Ackira walked by the group quiet quickly and leaned against the wall in the alley.

"So Fang did you see her?" Ackira asked as she ran short on breath.

Yeah, i saw her. I felt her as soon as you passed by. Fang said as she sighed.

"Wow that must feel great to see an old friend. Oh wow i feel like im talking to myself kind of." Ackira said as she sighed and sat in the alley.

"What if the sence me what do i do??" Ackira asked.

Dont panick just stay calm. They wont harm you. Fang reassured her.

"Vaan doesn't know what's up either. He says that he felt himself being drawn here and bonded with me to stay on this plane to help out, but he has no idea why that happened," interjected August. He needed to figure out what was going on as soon as he could, but Vaan was busy inwardly complaining about Balthier looking down on him. "When you looked me up on the inter-webs it said that in a game called Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift I'm an awesome sky pirate along with Penello and we'd gone on tons of adventures... grumble, grumble."

Well, my dear old friend. According to IGN's top 25 Final Fantasy characters I am ranked 9th higher than any other Final Fantasy XII characters. And the adventures you went on were hardly fascinating compared to the adventures Fran and I went on for the many years I was a Sky Pirate. And it's called the internet. Balthier replied back to Vaan, clearly trying to upset his old friend, yet Vaan didn't seem to notice. "Would you two stop it? You're both giving me a headache..." Sara complained to both Balthier and Vaan.
