Think Pink 1,967 Posted January 18, 2012 Growing up where I did, as cliche as it sounds, I say y'all a lot, or I just call people hun, sweetie, or babe. Like, I don't mean it in a weird way, and no one would've thought it was weird there. But when I moved to Virginia everyone was like, lolwthiswrongwithyou. So do you guys say anything that no one else does? 2 TheApprenticeofKingMickey and Koko reacted to this

Larxene12 86 Posted January 18, 2012 I have a 'Boston Accent', so I say 'Monstah' not 'Monster' and 'haht' not 'heart'. So if I were talking about Kingdom Hearts, I'll be like: Me: KIngdom Hahts so so much fun! Demyx was soo much hahder to beat then Mansex! You: WHERE ARE THE SUBTITLES?! I can't pronounce my r's. -___- and I get mocked since not eveyrone where I live has it.
Axtwyt 500 Posted January 18, 2012 In Colorado, there's a special class of words that only I use. Malevolent is one. Captain Basch fon Ronsenburg of Dalmasca is the most common, however. 1 Larxene12 reacted to this
Grimmjow 839 Posted January 18, 2012 I am German so I'll have to translate. But if I insult my friends just for fun I like to use old-fashioned stupid words like Gauner - scoundrel, Ganove - hoodlum, Tunichgut - rapscallion, Klabautermann - hobgoblin ect. Also this is kinda the weed-word between my friends..... always when we are high we abuse the word "Aaaaalter" - duuuude for EVERYTHING. I also enjoy saying English catchphrases.... like if I drink something in a supermarket which I didn't buy yet because I'm soooo thirsty I say "F*ck the police" ironically to act badass. If I think about it I use many Englisch meme catchphrases... 3 TheApprenticeofKingMickey, Weedanort and Koko reacted to this
Kinode 3,056 Posted January 18, 2012 Not sure. I say some big words sometimes and speak properly, something most Brazilians are like "wut" when I do. I also make some Internet jokes no one gets. Because they're noobs. 2 TheApprenticeofKingMickey and Grimmjow reacted to this
Lu Xun 2,069 Posted January 18, 2012 Eh, I'm like Kinode. A lot of people don't really care for grammar here, but I love to correct if they make mistakes. And sometimes I randomly says some spells from HP, mostly 'Avada Kedavra'. And last year I said a thing that only old people say and my friends kept repeating it all the time. ><
Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted January 18, 2012 I use some meme refernces (because I'm nerdy) and no one but my close friends acutally get it. One kid thought I was acting 'ghetto'. He died.

Koko 3,944 Posted January 18, 2012 down here, since we're on the border to mexico most of our slang is spanish i only say - NADA QUE VER: equivalent to the stereotypical white girl 'SHUT UP' pacon: popcorn, it's supposed to be palomitas but we're dumb cholo/chonger is basically a wannabe gangster and yeah idk what else as for phrases I tend to say 'Don't get your panties in a twist' and 'Whatever floats your boat' a lot and i'm the only one of my friends that does lol 2 Grimmjow and TheApprenticeofKingMickey reacted to this
The One Truth 48 Posted January 18, 2012 Well I live in Michigan. In a kind of hood area. So some say "Wet" in sentence that mean it's good, or awesome, cool, or w/e. So in a sentence it would be like "Man those shoes are wet bro." Pop means soda pop (which why I don't know why people are so bugged by that. lol) Cuz means like dude, man or w/e
TheApprenticeofKingMickey 3,689 Posted February 9, 2012 I live in Canada soooooooo There are certain words we francophones use sometimes. Gros imbéciles - big idiot Tête de cul - butt head (the translation itself isn't very vulgar but the actually insult in French is. It's the French equivalent of asshole.) I tend to use like a lot of big words. Sometimes even Victiorian English big words. And then teenagers around me go 'lolwut' and I say, "Dictionary," and they say, "You are my dictionary." I tend to call girls 'woman'. It's sort of a permanent phase. Guys? I don't really call them anything.

DragonMaster 1,166 Posted June 14, 2012 I'll just start randomly saying Spanish words sometimes. However, I don't have a drop of Spanish blood. Oh, Pig Latin as well. It's fun to speak Pig Latin really fast, as even other people who know it will go "What?".
Yang 1,859 Posted June 20, 2012 God we have a whole nother language dun here. We use "rockin" a lot to describe something awesome. We don't say you, we say yinz, yinzers, you-inz, yunzers. . . Etc. We call rubber bands gumbands. We call vacuums sweepers. We use "Cheese and Crackers!" as an interjection. When our hockey team scores a goal: Buy Sam a drink and get his dog one too! When they win: Elvis has left the building! When something's easy, we describe it as a "Can o Corn." If someone says "Sheep's Leg," it means there's a booger hanging out of your nose. Squeet means it's time to eat. "You kids are driving me to Dixmont" means that you're driving me nuts. "Kennywood's Open" -said to men with their flys down Well, that's it, Fort Pitt! kalnet 1,198 Posted June 20, 2012 From where I lived and grew up.. Well.. I talk something like this - "Ok lah", "Sorry ah.." "You sure can ah?" "Please lah.." " Sure can work one lah" "You ok ah?" "ok mah!" "I also know how to play that game what" "Thank you ah" and so on and so forth. Most Malaysians and Singaporeans speak like that. I think I got a perfect example on how I talk, but no worries, I can speak normally like all of you here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91oJm7Cvf7U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbVLo_hfVmE
