Keep the Story Going

Recommended Posts

You grab the Devil’s Fang, reach up, cut the chain that holds Locke’s Time Shield, and fling the medallion away. Then you point the dagger directly at your heart. Locke stops in his tracks, finally looking like he’s at a loss for what to do. He touches his left shoulder and examines it, revealing a large scar. “I’m sick of this,” you say with quiet rage. “Why have you brought this upon Molly and me? What do you want with that sword? If you don’t tell me, I will end this here and now.”

Then Locke smirks. “Nice bluff,” he says. He starts reaching for the sword again, and you are trying to decide whether to go through with stabbing yourself, or to fight Locke. Neither option appeals to you very much. Then something starts happening to him, and he collapses, holding his head in his hands. He seems to be fighting to stay conscious. Krista’s eyes go wide and she runs in the direction where you threw the Time Shield.

Hey WerXand and Always. You guys just want to make a RP for ppl can change the story?

Hmm...I guess it's up to WerXand, since he was the one who started this thread LOL.

No one wants to post so I'll just try to get the ball rolling again

You run towards Krista, trying to stop her, if Locke got that time shield again, you'd lose your only advantage against him. You feel instinct raised your hand, pointing the blade of your Devil's Fang at her, and the blade shoots towards her like the Angel Blade when it was a dagger. She puts up a translucent barrier to stop your blade, and quickly snatches up the small trinket, she tosses it to Locke, who reaches to catch it, but before it lands in his hand, the medallion stops in mid-air, trapped in a small bubble.

It was Molly's doing, she was on the ground, having just regained consciousness, one arm extended to create the bubble. " You shouldn't have your powers yet!" Locke shouts as the bubble begins to float to her, " What is going on?" He charges to Molly, your sword in his hand. You rush to her, but here the crack of a chain, Ezekiel has stepped in now, "You and I still have a score to settle," he says. You can't deal with this right now, Molly's in danger, you don't have time to fight him, you try to run for it, but the ground erupts, multiple chains bursting from the ground beneath your feet. You still don't care about Ezekiel and look to where Molly is, and you see a sight that takes a huge weight of your shoulders.

Justin and that girl he was talking with are finding of Locke, the girl has a Keyblade as well. Justin looks towards you, "Don't worry, we got this guy, I'll explain about her later. Here!" He screams the last part as he smacks the sword from Locke sending it flying towards you. You catch it perfectly, now used to your advanced reflexes. You turn to Ezekiel, sword and dagger at the ready, he glares at you and nods. You nod back, understanding perfectly, no more words, just combat. You launch yourself at the green-haired boy, ready to end things.

*If any one continues from here, things look like the story will reach an ending, PLZ don't let it get there, thus story shouldn't have an ending*

(@4Everbee: Awwww I was ready for an epic “You” vs. Ezekiel fight! LOL it's okay, that confrontation can come later, and this will definitely help the story not to end any time soon. ;))

“Sorry about my idiot dog. Can I, um...lend you some new pants?” the boy asks, barely able to suppress his amusement at what he sees.

You look down at your torn pants, and what's underneath them. Oh, DAMN! you think. You had forgotten all about those things. Stupid Jacob. Jacob... He's one of your closer friends, but what he did made you so mad that you decided not to talk to him for a week. Now that you've ended up in some strange place though, you realize you miss him, and all the other friends that were left behind when Locke, or whoever's fault it was, took you and Molly away. Molly! You have to find her. But you suddenly snap back into the present and look at the boy again.

“I-it was a dare,” you explain, clearly humiliated. “If I didn't go through with it, my friend was going to announce that I had feelings for this one girl...” Of course, you're talking about Molly. Though you weren't ready to enter the “more-than-friends” zone with her before all this happened, you had still confided in Jacob that you had special feelings for her, but you were petrified at the idea of her finding out. All of that seems so far away and insignificant now compared to what you've been through today... You and Molly both.

“But, um, yeah. Do you have a pair that I could borrow?” you ask sheepishly.

The boy finally gets his laugh out. “Some dare! Sounds like your friend has a cruel sense of humor—even I wouldn't do something that mean,” he says, a wide grin on his face the entire time. “Come on, let's go in the house. My name's Chase, by the way.” He extends his hand for you to shake it.

You reach out to shake his hand, but realize you've just exposed yourself again and quickly cover yourself, quite embarrassed. After you get some pants on, Chase brings you to the kitchen where he pulls out a plate of sandwiches from the fridge. Before he even offers you immediately attack the plate, unable to remember the last time you ate.

You at all but the crust of one sandwich, trying not to seem like a glutton, but was too late. Chase is in awe, witnessing you wolf down over 40 sandwiches on under 3 minutes. "So how'd you get here?" He asks, you swallow your last bit of food hard, as you try to figure out what to tell him.

What can you say? ‘Well, it’s like this: I was at home and then I was on a weird island and then I was here?’ Yeah, that’s not going to work. You decide to start with a half-truth to buy yourself a little more time to make something up.

“I’m, uh, not too sure,” you say, trying to add a note of humor in your voice. “I’m kind of lost. Where exactly am I?” you ask, lifting a glass of milk to your mouth to take an anxious gulp.

“Plainview, Nebraska,” Chase replies simply.

You nearly spit your milk out. That’s a long way from where your home is.

There’s a bit of suspicion in the way Chase looks at you now. “You seem surprised,” he says.

“Um, yeah, it’s just...I’ve come a long way...”

“Yeah? From where?” His expression is completely serious now.

“Lincoln,” you reply, almost too quickly. Good thing you remembered the state’s capitol, because other than that, you know nothing about Nebraska. You lower your voice. “I ran away from home. My older brother tried to kill me several times, but no one would believe me.” Of course, you don’t have an older brother, but you make yourself think of Locke as you say this so that it’s easier for you to make your lie sound like the truth. You expose the wound Locke left on your shoulder for good measure.

Chase appears shocked. “Wow, I’m sorry about that. So you came here on foot? No wonder you were so hungry,” he says.

You chuckle a little. “I was able to hitch a ride here and there. But yeah, I mostly walked.”

“So you’re heading south, huh?”

“I guess I am,” you say without thinking.

Chase leans forward, and from the look on his face, you realize you’ve been caught. “You’re not really from Nebraska, are you? Plainview is north of Lincoln, not south. If you went that far south, you’d be in Kansas by now. So what’s your real story?”

You deliberate for a moment. You could tell him that your family had recently moved to Nebraska, so you still didn’t know your geography of the state very well. But then you’d probably end up having to tell a series of lies until your story falls apart. Maybe it’s best to just stop the charade.

“You’ll think I’m crazy,” you warn.

“Try me.”

You laugh humorlessly. “Oh, boy...” you say before beginning your story.

You explain everything, your nightmare, Molly, the island, Justin, Krista and Locke, Damien and Ezekiel. You think that he's about being you to the insanity ward, but as you finish your story, he nods, taking it in. "Sounds like you've been through a lot, I personally don't know any way I can help, but I think I know someone who can," he gets up and leads you outside to an old pickup truck. You both get in and drive off, "So where are we going?" You ask, but her just gives you this look and says, "You'll see when we get there,"

The crash hurt your neck, you hope you don't have whiplash. "What the hell was the point of that?" you ask irritated, he just smirks at you, "It's the only way to get enough force to flip the switch," he says. You look to the pole, it's still shaking from the impact, it's wobbling up and down until it drops down at a much lower angle with a descernable 'click'.

Chase points to your right, to show that the ground is opening up like a trap door, revealing a stair case underneath the road. He starts to recall towards it when he stops, "You never took me your name," he says looking at you.

For the first time you realize that you haven't told Chase your name, and you feel like a jerk. But so much has been on your mind that you never really thought to introduce yourself.

“Ah, sorry about that. I'm Connor,” you tell him. That's the name you go by, anyway. Really, it's your middle name, but even you forget that sometimes. You just like your middle name better than your first, and for a long time now you've been automatically telling everyone you meet that your name is Connor. How long has it been, now that you think of it? Since elementary school, at least.

Chase chuckles. “Well, it's good to finally know the name of the person I've been talking to this whole time.” He backs up the truck and parks it neatly on the side of the road, away from the pole. “Let's hurry,” Chase says as he takes the keys out of the ignition. “It won't stay open forever.”

You both climb out of the truck and walk hastily towards the staircase. On your way, you look back at the vehicle and notice that it's not even dented from the impact with the pole. “How...?” you ask, pointing at it.

“Let's just say that it's a special model,” Chase explains vaguely. “It was specifically built to withstand things like, well, crashing into a pole several times.”

“And how many times is several?” you ask.

“Not a whole lot, but more than a couple times for any car would be considered several, don't you agree?” Chase laughs.

You smile and shake your head in amazement. The two of you reach the staircase and start descending. “So where are we going and what are we doing when we get there?”

Chase has a mischievous look on his face. “Oh, I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.”

The two of you walk down a dimly lit hallway, small flickering lights in the ceiling keep you from the darkness. Soon the both of you reach a small, hexagon shaped room. What resembles a throne is against the back wall, is hard to tell since this room has even less light then the hallway. The throne has two large torches on it, lighting up the crown of the head of who ever was sitting on the throne. Its still hard to see, but you make out one crucial detail, the person has emerald green hair.

You take a step back , utter shock fills you to your core. What's Ezekiel doing here? You reach into your jacket for the Devil's Fang, which your relieved to see is still there, almost forgetting about it after your are warped to Nebraska. "Ready to finish things are we?" You snap to him, the blade of your dagger giving of a red glow. Ezekiel only looks up, his expression is as bored as it can get.

He yawns, obviously not interested, "Whatever it is your going on about, I've never seem you in my life, so don't bother trying to explain,"

“W-what?” you say, taken aback once again. Then you think he must be tricking you, attempting to take you by surprise and leave you vulnerable so that he can easily strike you down. “Okay, quit messing around!” you shout angrily. “How did I end up here, and where's Molly?” You find that you also have the Angel Blade, and you take it in your other hand and poise yourself to spring at Ezekiel.

“Geez, what is this kid's problem?” Ezekiel says to Chase, shaking his head in disbelief.

“What, you know this guy?” Chase asks you.

“Of course I do! And I bet you brought me here to have me killed!” You swipe at Chase with the Devil's Fang, but he catches your wrist in an iron grip. You try to slash his leg with the Angel Blade, but he kicks your hand, knocking the weapon away.

“Hey! Calm down! I'm trying to help you here!” Chase shouts, grabbing your other wrist.

You try to free yourself, but it's useless. You're surprised at how strong Chase is, because though he's slightly larger in stature than yourself, he mostly looks like an average kid. But of course, the people you've been dealing with lately haven't been all that average. Was it really just a coincidence when you ended up on Chase's farm?

Ezekiel gets up from his throne and walks towards the two of you. “Well, I'm afraid I can't answer your second question, because I've never heard of a Molly before. As for the first...I don't even know what that means. Anyway, how do you know me? And what are those interesting weapons you've got?”

You're still not convinced—for all you know, this is one big charade for them to manipulate you. Instead of answering his questions, you ask another, very pointedly. You know it's essentially a death wish, but at least it'll get Ezekiel to stop trying to play with your head. “How's Damien?”

Ezekiel stops in his tracks, and looks genuinely surprised now. “Damien? How do you know about him?”

Okay, now you're convinced. You have an equally surprised expression as you say, “So...you really don't know who I am?” At that moment, you resolve not to reveal that you killed Damien, even though that was apparently in some other time or dimension or whatever.

Ezekiel steps up from his throne, he looks to you, the green glow of his chains in his fist, you start to worry. He motions to Chase for him to relax. He reluctantly lets go of your wrist, Ezekiel comes up to you, his chain glowing brighter than ever, you brandish your dagger, ready to defend yourself, but Ezekiel only offers you the other end of the chain. "I doubt you are unfamiliar with Ethereal weapons, seeing as you have two of them. Mine, the Jupiter Catena chain, has many mental and psychological powers. We are going to uses these abilities to figure out what you're talking about,"

You hesitantly grab a hold of the chain and find yourself engulfed by an emerald green flash.

Molly start walking again. She walked into a small town. Full of kids running around. "THE DARK KNIGHT WILL END YOU!" Yelled one of the kids.

"Dark knight?" Molly asked. The boy looked up. "Oh no. Don't worry lady. The hero will make sure he will never come back!" He said.

The boy smiled at Molly. Molly looked at him and looked at his friend. "Oh haha. Well I'm Molly. Whats your name?" Molly asked nicely.

The to boys smiled at her, "I'm Harry and this is my friend. Bebe.' Harry said. Molly looked at Bebe. "Bebe? What a nice name." Molly smiled.

"So who is this Hero you to speak of?" Said Molly. Harry smiled. "The hero'S names are Connor and Justin. Where have you been? " Harry smiled at Molly. Bebe looked at Molly. "Your new here a? (Sora's Baby, whose point of view are you speaking from? Is it from Justin cuz i don't think we can tell. Plz clarify in future posts)

Molly has a shocked look on her face, 2014?! How can it be 2014? It wasn't even close to the end of 2012 when she and Connor were on that island. Connor...Molly looks at the ground, an incredibly sad expression on her face, she has no idea what happened to You and Justin after that huge flash. "I hope they're okay..." she whispers to herself.

Molly feels a tug on her fingers, the small girl, Bebe, is looking up at her, "Why are you crying lady? The child asks. Molly hadn't noticed the tears in her eyes. She wiped them away with a sniff of her nose. The little girl seeing her cry reminds her of Connor. No one ever saw her cry before, except for Connor that one day after school when they were ten. It was that day that made her feel the way she did about Connor. She still remembers it like yesterday.

(I’m pretty sure Sora’s Baby’s post is from the perspective of the one girl who met Justin during the battle between Molly and Conner.

Oooookay, I spent more than three hours writing this, and I really didn’t mean for it to be this long, but prepare yourselves for an obscenely long post! xD Sorry!)

Molly had always been exceptionally beautiful--this was what many people told her for as long as she could remember, and even those who didn’t say it to her face were thinking it. She also loved to pretend to fight. She would often play games with Conner and her other friends where she used magic to fight creatures or heal her allies. But there was something else about herself that she hadn’t been aware of.

One day, as she was playing alone in her front yard, a boy approached her. He was probably about sixteen years old, the same age Molly is now. His hair was emerald green, and his clothing style looked a little out of place. Molly smiled politely at him as he towered over her, and he looked at her with a soft smile. “What are you doing?” he asked.

Molly looked down, a little embarrassed at telling him. “I was...just pretending to zap evil harpies out of the sky with magic.”

The boy laughed. “Are you? That’s so cool!” His tone wasn’t at all sarcastic or condescending like she expected it to be. Instead, it sounded like he actually cared, and didn’t have a problem with such a childish game. “Want me to show you something even cooler?” he asked. Molly nodded shyly. “Okay,” the boy said as he knelt down, “but you have to close your eyes.”

Molly did so. She was startled and almost opened her eyes when she felt the tip of his finger touch her forehead, but she willed herself to keep them shut. A strange sensation came over her, and she felt her feet leave the ground. Her eyes flew open, and she was hovering at eye level in front of the boy, who was once again standing. Something appeared in her hand--a beautiful scepter, adorned with more sparkling, precious gems than she had ever seen in her life. She looked back at the boy, who tossed something high into the air. Once the object reached its peak, instead of falling back down, it stopped, suspended in mid-air. Molly saw that it was some sort of disc. “Now,” the boy said, “zap that thing with your magic.”

Molly just blinked. “What? Magic?”

The boy nodded.

He must be joking, Molly thought, but she smiled, aimed the scepter at the disc, and willed magic to come forth, just as she did when she was pretending. And, to her shock, the magic came. A beam of light burst from the scepter and hit the disc square on, causing it to burst into what looked like a firework. After a few seconds of speechlessness, Molly began giggling joyfully. The boy, who looked happy to see her delight, tossed several more of the discs into the air, and Molly shot at all of them, some before they had even stopped ascending. “How did you do that?” she finally asked him.

“Oh, it was hardly me,” the boy replied. “It’s been inside of you this whole time.” At that moment, Molly began to feel tired. She floated back to the ground and the scepter disappeared.

“What do you mean?” Molly asked sleepily. Just then, her dad came to the front door.

The boy looked at her father, then back at her. “I think it’s time for me to go now. I’ll tell you later.” With that, he walked away quickly.

As her dad walked out to the front yard, he watched the boy with an expression that was angry and worried. He picked Molly up and carried her into the house and laid her on her bed, as she was quickly falling asleep. Before she was completely out, she heard her parents having a conversation she knew she wasn’t meant to hear. Their voices were strained with concern, and they were saying something about her powers, and about the boy who had just been there. “I thought she would be safe here!” she heard her mother whisper angrily. “That’s what we were told.” Then Molly drifted off.

The next day before school, her parents sat her down and told her that she was “very special,” and she possessed powers that almost nobody else had. The boy who had come the day before wasn’t to be trusted, and she was lucky he hadn’t taken her away. “We’re very sorry we had to tell you like this,” her dad said, “but it’s time that you knew, especially because you might be in danger now. All we want is for you to be safe, and it’ll be easier to keep you safe if you’re aware of what’s going on.”

Molly couldn’t believe what she was hearing. A horrifying thought struck her. “Does that boy...want to use my powers to do bad things?” She remembered how the beams from the scepter destroyed the strange discs. What else could that scepter destroy? How powerful was it?

Molly’s parents looked at each other. “We hope not,” her mom said, trying not to sound helpless. Her parents put their arms around her lovingly, protectively.

Later, at school, everything seemed to go wrong. As she turned the pages in a textbook, she pulled a little too hard on one of them, causing it to rip. As she went to the teacher’s desk to explain what happened, she tripped and broke the teacher’s ceramic mug while trying to catcher herself on the desk. In a game of dodgeball, she accidentally hit another girl right in the face, giving her a bloody nose. And to top it off, she nearly broke Conner’s brand new camera after school as they were walking home together. She had been trying to get a picture of a bird overhead, but in trying to keep up with its quick movements in the air, her legs got tangled up beneath her and she fell on the concrete. The camera landed on her stomach and slid onto the grass by the sidewalk.

“Molly! Are you okay?” Conner asked, shaking her.

Molly realized her eyes were closed, and she opened them, seeing Conner’s concerned face not far from hers. “I’m fine,” she said, sitting up slowly. “I...almost broke your camera.” Her voice cracked, and she started to cry. It was all too much. She was ruining things left and right. It reminded her of the power she possessed--the power to destroy things. She cried because she was ashamed of this power, because she was scared for herself and her family, because her parents had kept such a huge secret from her this whole time, and now because she couldn’t get near something without breaking it. She was overwhelmed, and she couldn’t hold it in any longer. She cried even harder.

“You don’t look fine. How badly are you hurt?” Molly’s pain tolerance was higher than that of most girls their age, and Conner had never expected to see her cry from an injury.

“It’s not that,” Molly said between sobs. “It’s just...I seem to be destroying everything!”

“Is that what this is about?” Conner asked tenderly. “Molly...do you think I care about some camera more than my best friend? I was afraid for you, because it sounded like your head was hit pretty hard. I thought you passed out! I’m just happy you’re alright.” He put his arms around her. “And don’t worry about all those things that happened in school today. It was just an unlucky day. Just because you messed up a few things, it doesn’t make you a bad person. There’s so much more to you than that. You’re my friend because you’re nice, and you would never hurt anyone on purpose. There’s nothing bad about you.”

Molly felt herself blushing. Conner had never hugged her before. Even though they were best friends, he still wasn’t one for physical contact of any kind with girls. “Thanks, Conner,” she said, her tears mostly spent. “Sorry about that. I guess it was a dumb thing to cry over.”

Conner let go of her and looked her in the eye. “Hey, I know you well enough to know that nothing you cry over is dumb. Well, I mean, this is the first time I’ve ever seen you cry, so it must be a big deal. All of the stuff that makes the other girls cry, like Jesse McCartney or staining your favorite shirt or not having a cell phone hardly even gets to you.” Conner laughed, and so did Molly, and their laughter went on for about a minute.

“Thanks,” she said again after they were done laughing, studying his deep brown eyes for a long moment. There was so much kindness in them. She suddenly had the urge to kiss his cheek, but she suppressed it, knowing he might think it was weird. Conner retrieved his camera and offered his hand, helping her up off the sidewalk. As they walked the rest of the way home together, Molly couldn’t help stealing sideways glances at him, realizing for the first time how cute he was. His wavy, brown hair, so dark it almost looked black, his sweet smile, and the way he walked with such confidence, as if he could take on the world at any second.

Molly smiles through her tears as she recalls this, then remembers the girl before her. She kneels down in front of Bebe and says, “Oh, it’s nothing. I’m just thinking about Conner, one of the heros Harry was talking about. Conner’s my friend, and I want to find him.”

“Wow! Are you sure he’s not your boyfriend? Because you look like someone he would be in love with. Anyway, if he were here, I’m sure he would say that what you’re crying over isn’t nothing,” Bebe says casually. Molly blushes, but can’t stop herself from grinning at the little girl’s insight.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In an instant, you see the memory from so long ago of Molly with the green-haired boy, from the moment he approached her until he left in a hurry. There’s another flash, and you’re back in the present...or what you think is the present. Your mouth is hanging open as you stare at Ezekiel. “Was that boy...you?” you ask.

“Yes, it was,” Ezekiel chuckles and shakes his head. “That Molly. She was cute.”

Your anger quickly overpowers your surprise. “What did you say?” You’re disgusted that Ezekiel would say that, especially because of the age difference between him and Molly.

“I didn’t mean it like that, you dunce! I mean she was a cute little girl. Like most people think puppies are cute, although I don’t understand that,” Ezekiel spits back. This catches you off guard, because of course, he usually doesn’t show annoyance. He takes a breath, and is composed again. “Anyway, it’s rather interesting that we saw that memory, especially because it wasn’t one of yours, and the intent was to search through your memories. But it does tell me that you have a connection with Molly, and I’m guessing that’s why you’re here.”

You simply nod. There are so many questions you want to ask, like what he was doing there with Molly, how he awakened some of her powers without transforming her, why he seemed to be fond of her. And what changed him between then and now.

“Let’s try this again,” Ezekiel says, holding out the chain before you can ask any of those questions. You take hold of it, and this time, you find yourself in a strange place, and can see your memories in a somewhat tangible form, like photographs, but not quite. You go through the memory of the island, and will yourself to omit the parts with Damien, but you’re not sure if it works. Then you’re back in the present, and Ezekiel is studying you. “There’s something you kept from me. Something important. And trust me, I’ll find out what it was. But at least now I know enough to be able to help you. That is, if you deserve my help.”

"It appears that the reason I've never met you but you have met me is because of that Time Shield you severed on that island," Ezekiel starts explaining as he leads you and Chase to another room. The other four walls in the hexagon shaped room had a sealed doorway, he hit a hidden switch to open it up. "The Time Shield?" You ask, "Yes, you see, those medallions are very sensitive pieces of equipment. They used Chrono energy to negate the effect of time. Chrono energy is highly unstable, and is only barely contained within the chain. When you cut it, the unstable Chrono energy was released. It carried you and, most likely your friends as well, to different points in time. You came back 6 years into the past,"

"6 years!?" You cry, you'd be ten in this day and age, "So how do I get back to my time? You ask.
