Ehhh I dunno... it's something I wouldn't mind doing but I don't want to do ontop of other things? If that makes sense?

I guess it would also depend on the company and a few other things too... I would love to design things and come up with concepts though...

I would take any job really. Being in the video game industry would just be a bonus. I did study animation once, and I have friends in Volition who make the Saints Row games (I actually knew about Saints Row the Third years before it was announced, but I wasn't allowed to say anything. They shouldn't have put freaking big posters of it hanging around the office >.>) But, yeah, if I get a job in the game industry it would be localizing Japanese games into English :P

Most video game jobs actually kinda suck.

Tester: Yeah you get to play the game before everyone. But you get to play the shittiest version of the game, with many bugs and glitches. Also as a tester you must test EVERYTHING which involves but is not limited to.

A. Running into a wall from every feesable angle to make sure it functions

B. Running across every single surface of the game over and over again

C. Playing through each event 100+ times to make sure it functions the same way everytime

Moderator/Community Leader: Put it this way, if you take one of these jobs you will be forced to interact with a game community. Each game community is mostly awesome with 95% stupidity rates.

I would definitely take it, if it was writing for the games. Though testing or programming I wouldn't turn down.

Nah. I'm going to become an author.

I might too, but I would rather write video game stories than books. In a video game, I would actually get to see my ideas come to life. Heck, almost all of the great story idea I have are meant to be in a game. I have an entire outline for a trilogy typed up, and I even have ideas on how the gameplay would work.

Now that I think about, my dream job would be game "Director" or whatever. Writing the story, overseeing production, that kind of stuff. Would be awesome.

I would like to be a Designer (which is what I am wanting to do as a career) and join in with the team. Storywriter and Director would be cool to. Tester is a 50/50 situation where it's great to play the games before anyone else, but you have to go through everything plus making sure that the game has no problems like Fredfredbug4 said. But then again, Testers are important to see how well the game is going before it is released to the public.

I know nothing about computer programming of any sort, but I just think designing games and levels would be so much fun! Especially characters...except I can't even draw. Haha...ha...
