Should I buy FF XIII?

I really don't know how good the gameplay or the story are. I've seen the gameplay but I still can't decide. A friend of mine says it is a waste of money. What do you guys think? Please help me! FF XIII, XIII-2 and Versus XIII, how good are they?

FFXIII is ok, and the demo of XIII-2 was good. Plus FFXIII is pretty cheap now, so you might as well pick it up. No one really knows about Versus XIII, since it's not even out yet, but it looks great.

XIII was my favorite Final Fantasy, and the XIII-2 demo quickly replaced it. January 31st is going to be an awesome day.

I love the original Final Fantasy XIII, you should definately get that. I'd hold off on getting the second, it looks dissapointing. I was going through wiki(scrolling fast) to find some new pictures for a sig, and I accidently saw what the ending is, and I hate it. So much. But other than the ending the game is ok.

Didn't liked it. I think FF XIII is a bad game.

So I support your friend on this one.

If you never played FF DO NOT start with this one.

But if you are a real FF-fan buy it since you wouldn't care that it's not good.

The great thing about FF 13 is the story line, but when you fight you don't really get the option to dodge, but the summons are awesome! I want to get FF 13-2

FFXIII is a great game. The battle system is real time, yet with a twinge of turnbased. If you get the game, make sure you have a lot of time on your hands, because it's 60 hours long and can get a little difficult at some points.
