Nafees Rahman 35 Posted August 18, 2012 Nope, I loved that game. Days takes the crown for worst KH game in my book. Days was awesome ;w; the story the feeling of being in the organization and slowly being able to be the ass kicker you are and coded is my worst imho too short and easy and generic only liked the command feature and listening to the disney characters talk

But for me, personaly, I thought Days was lacking...alot.
keystrike 145 Posted August 21, 2012 I think it goes without saying that this is the least ambitious title of the series. As a result of that the game is short, the story is iffy, and it is ultimately a port of a nearly equivalently good cell phone game. Is it a bad game? No. But is it the worst game? That's a maybe that deserves a good long qualifying explanation. First of all, we should recognize that the story, the game play, the music, or any other single feature does not define weather or not its a good game alone, and that if we have a disagreement its likely because we weight these features differently. Starting with the story: As far as the big picture goes, very little moves forward. By the end of the game nearly everything that will play a role in future games would have been elaborated on BBS or another previous game. Concerning the story within the game itself, its tight, well put together and thanks to the simple plot, lacks very many plot holes. Its something you can smile at and apreciate in the moment. As was square's intent it was a light game. Might I even describe the story as "retro" because of the simplistic story as opposed the latest entry Dream Drop Distance. Now what about the gameplay? Hardly original but is one of the most solid in the series. Should Days and CoM be praised for their ambition but lack of excecution? This is yet another question that only one's self can answer. I consider the above undisputable so will discuss the game play no further. And everything else... Graphics on the original cell phone for its screen size were acutally better. I bet you didn't know that. System Sectors and the Cards are the closest thing to multiplayer that this game gets. Even the original CoM had Mulitplayer! Music is so insignificant it wasn't even mentioned in the title of the OST including music from that game and only two others. All of these little things it lack compared to others could be atributed to the lack of ambition in this title, and this is where I think it fell to the bottom of my list. Ultimately if I consider the games originality and ambition into the mix, it ends up at the bottom of my list, but if I disregard that and say which of the side games I would most likely want to go back and play, this ends up being my favorite
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted August 23, 2012 In my opinion, Re:coded was definitely the worst game in the series. Was it a bad game? No. Does that mean it can't be the worst in the series? No. Game-play wise, Re:coded shines. The overarching battle system is great. The command system is great for portables, and it has depth with command melding. The world exclusive gimmicks helped break up the game, and most of them were quite fun. The Keyblade specific skill trees were fantastic, and made your choice of weaponry more than just "highest stats wins". The Stat Matrix was a great way to level and equip new abilities, and the "cheats" present also helped in aspects of the game. However, Debugging Mode was completely monotonous. The areas were all the same red and black color scheme, and the goals were very much the same in each one. Debugging was far more monotonous than Days's missions ever were. The games length is also disappointing, being the shortest game in the series. Story is the games downfall. It adds very little to the overall story arc, probably less than any other game in the series. While there are plot points through out, the only things that you absolutely need are the ending and secret ending. Of course, with the release of DDD, the secret ending is pretty much moot now. All other plot points either have no importance as of yet, or can be gained/assumed from other games. All of the worlds present have been visited before, though the stories have been changed. Playing through the story is fun and enjoyable, but it really doesn't get any deeper than just that, fun. Every other KH game beats Re:coded's story in either relevance or depth. While Re:coded was the worst in the series, it was a perfectly playable and fun game. The only points where it really gets dragged down is when you take its story, and put it up against others in the series. With the plot of every KH game being connected, you can't help but compare. LunarMadness 79 Posted August 24, 2012 Days may have been an objectively better game... but I don't care. Days is my least favorite and at least contends for worst. coded isn't that good, that being said. Wow, looking at it... Days and coded are way down the ladder when compared to the other games, which are all way better.
Gambler'sApprentice 131 Posted September 6, 2012 Personally I hate CoM, partially because I leveled Sora and Riku to Max, which meant more boring level grinding then any other game. Altogether about 115 lvls. worth. But most irritatingly it has a very small amount of plot spread over 13 floor. Both it and coded could be summarized in their own cutscenes. But at least coded had trophies and extra bosses. Once you beat MArluxia/Ansem all that's left is taking out waves of Heartless and deleting excess cards. xoblivionx13 1,133 Posted September 6, 2012 I didn't really mind this game. While it's not my absolute favorite, I don't hate it either....so i guess I'm neutral I liked that it was a datascape in some parts with challenging levels or bosses in order to pass. Some good music came out of it as well....I love the song Pretty Pretty Abilities The secret movie was pretty good too. While it's not a game I immediately pick up when I have free time, I do enjoy playing through some worlds whenever I happen upon it.
SoraKH 793 Posted September 7, 2012 This was my first game and overall (instead of KH3D) this had the best commands and graphics. For the story.....ehh......but everything else was pretty cool. Agree with you, The graphics were waaay better from days while gameplay and the graphics were really good for a ds. The story was okay but it delieverd the meaning it wanted to. Dio Brando 5,810 Posted September 7, 2012 if you people think Days and Recoded are the worst then oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh boy you've never played Kingdom Hearts V-Cast that was made by Disney without Square to develop that one was shit
Mirr0rVS13 169 Posted September 8, 2012 Is Re:coded the worst? ... I think the video speaks for itself.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted September 8, 2012 Actually....none of 3582 Days and Re:Coded were bad....in fact ,they're one of the best DS games you can ever find on the DS people here just about nothing when they didn't play the true worst KH Kingdom Hearts V-Cast
hatok 6,413 Posted September 9, 2012 I still have yet to finish the game. I'm still in the Agrabah world. Still... I got tired of doing practically the same thing again in the game. I mean, the story was alright. I also don't know where my DS charger is. If I had that I might play it... Wait... you thought the story was good but the gameplay was samey...? Did you get those comments backwards? Down-sides are mainly it was too easy. I beat critical mode without much trouble. But did you beat Critical Mode level 1 with no panels? Master Keeper 687 Posted September 10, 2012 All KH games were cool, but that one was the least cooler one.
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted September 11, 2012 I can't say it's the worst because I've never played it - but that's just it. All the other Kingdom Hearts games I went and played as soon as I got the chance. However running around a data world as a data version of Sora doesn't interest me at all. I've seen the cutscenes and that's all I really need to know about the game. But I can't say if it's bad or good because I haven't played it.
KiyoshiHaru 0 Posted September 11, 2012 Puh-lease. There is no such thing as a bad KH game and i thought all were equally good. Even though it was a lot of repeat, it provided sufficient new things. Birth by Sleep though was the best (and the hardest) handheld KH but i think it is on par with DDD. KH 358/2 days comes in second, story line was great and made me cry like a little girl but who cares. The multi-player was also fun being able to chose your organization member and another highlight was Xion who was so damn adorable \(QAQ)/ . It pains to say it but re:coded sure was slightly disappointing, but to me it pushed DS to its limits and as well the bosses were very enjoyable. Story was slightly unexpected but the same worlds was what made it so disappointing. (feels like writing essay)
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted September 11, 2012 Hardest??? Are you kidding???? The bosses of Birth by Sleep was the easiest bosses in the entire series even on Critical Mode. Most of the bosses have only 4 to 5 HP bars most of them are easy and some like Vanitas require a cheap strategy that he forces you to do so and that wasn't fun. the fight with Ventus-Vanitas(Venitas) was the worst boss fight in the game...he isn't hard .HE IS SOOO EASY TO THE POINT I WAS ABLE TO BEAT HIM WITHOUT DYING EVEN ONCE
Weedanort 8,786 Posted September 12, 2012 The game was... just there.

KH4Real 749 Posted September 15, 2012 Days got way better story then coded! What about com gba? Or lets say it's the same as com ps2? I enjoyed the missions more in days then the battlesystem in coded.
Xer 670 Posted September 15, 2012 This game is by far the worst KH game. Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories was the worst, even the Remastered. Terrible battle system.
sneezes 73 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) aw i dont think coded is the worst game (not a single kh game is bad as corny as that sounds) but its definitely one of those games on the bottom of my list "games i can replay & never get tired of" like you said i found it a little unnecessary for them to make a game (as short as it is or even because its on the ds its still a game) purely for them to say xehanort is alive etc etc i dont regret playing it at all, the plot was rather confusing at first ---scratch that when is kh not confusing--- but made you kinda gasp at the end. same thing i felt when i played re:com idk im still trying to wrap my head around this entire plot that we call kingdom hearts u _ u Edited September 16, 2012 by sneezes
Weiss 8,279 Posted December 23, 2012 I'd say mobile or V-cast were the worst but if we're talking about the main series only then yeah, I'd have to say re:coded was probably the worst of them imo.
SkullKid 15 Posted December 23, 2012 Days is way worse.
Mr.E 7 Posted January 3, 2013 yeah it is the worst but no game in the kh franchise will ever be BAD in my book.
obnoxious fangirl 6 Posted January 5, 2013 chain of memories and re:coded are pretty much tied. both were infuriating. well, when it comes to fighting, re:coded was better but storyline, chain of memories.
