KH2 Xion's good luck charm......

Recommended Posts

I was just watching KH2 opening and I saw Xion's good luck charm right at the start.......

Strange because Xion was introduced after KH2......

If you don't believe me then watch the trailer and close to the beginning you will see Kairi playing with her good luck charm then you will see Xion's lying close to her.... then it gets washed up by the waves.....

I don't know if any of you have spotted this before but I thought I should let you guys know xD

That's not really Xion's good luck charm. It's just a seashell lying next to Kairi. It looks like one of the seashells Kairi used to make her good luck charm.

Also, I don't recall Xion even having a good luck charm. She just collect seashells from Destiny Island.

Edit: If Xion did have some kind of good luck charm could you please link me to a scene in the game showing it, or describe the scene and say at which point in the game it occures so that I can find it myself.

It's not really a good luck charm. She just liked seashells, so she carried that one around with her. It's not really strange that it showed up at the start of KH2, 'cause it would've been easy for SE to be like "Hey, let's put a familiar image in" and use that one for the one left by Xion at the end of Days. I played Days before KH2 though, and I remember seeing the seashell at the beginning and being like " http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.png..... :( Xion..."

I replayed KH2 after 358 days and that's when I first realised it and I had the same feeling :'(

The charm was a seashell your right and also she carried it around but when Xion.............. then she drops the charm and Roxas picks it up....

That is also the exact same charm as the one on the beach

It's one of the seashells Kairi uses to make her good luck charms, how Wayfinders are meant to be made with.

Not exactly her good luck charm though, but the story shows the whole Seashell sharing thing between Roxas and Xion so it should remind him of her doubtlessly.

There is no connection between that scene in the KH2 opening and Xion since it wasn't even a spec on anyones mind at the time. And I guess you could call the seashell's Xion collected their 'good luck charm'....a good luck charm could be anything really. .w.

So I know that the seashell by itself isn't a good luck charm, but... Have we ever seen that seashell by itself other than with the Xion scenes and the opening of KH2? It may not be a good luck charm, but that doesn't mean the seashell by itself can't be symbolic still.

Years late. Anyway, I recall Xion being made after KH2.

She might of been made after KH2 but I think while they were making KH2 they were also creating Xion and so they added the Seashell/Charm into the opening of KH2....

But you also have to remember that Kairi is young in that specific shot at the beach in the beginning of KHII opening. Xion isn't anywhere close to existence at that point. So really... the seashell holds no significance...

Maybe the shell represents memories. Xion was made of sora and kairi's memories together, right? So, maybe the shell represents kairi remembering sora, then slowly forgetting, like those memories being washed away in the current.

her name does have the Japanese character for tide in it so that fits with seashells. Ironicly given her fate it also has characters for Aster tartaricus which in the language of flowers means "remembrance" or " I won't forget you" as for those who say Xion hadn't even been thought up yet I wouldn't be surprised if Nomura had an idea for "A tragic heroine with connections to Sora" at the time of KH2s creation.
