I thought you had to be a master to perform the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony, so why was Terra able to do that to Riku? It would explain why Jack Sparrow doesn't have a keyblade. But on the other hand, MX had called Terra master after he fought Braig, and he was there when during the exam, so could that have given him the authority to make Terra a master? If not, then this doesn't make any sense. I know Terra was strong enough to be a master, but what is the difference between that and being a master?

Good question... I never actually thought of Terra as a Master--I just figured the whole thing with Xehanort giving him that title was a gimmick to make Terra happy. xD But I guess Xehanort, being a veteran master himself, would have the authority to legitimately grant someone Master status, even if that person hadn't trained under him before.

I'd like to point something out though: Not just anyone who touches a Keyblade is able to wield one. The Keyblade has to accept the person who touches it based on the strength of his/her heart. So I'm pretty sure that's the main reason why Jack can't wield a Keyblade--because apparently all the Disney characters in KH are stupid and weak (in heart and body) compared to the main characters.

I mean, look how Sora is able to beat Hercules, whose physical strength is supposed to be absolutely unmatched by any other humans!! >.<

As stated in Nomura's interview, Master Xehanort was only flattering Terra when he called him Master Terra. Also, the reason Terra could do the inheritance ceremony was because he had the suitable power of a keyblade master even though Eraqus didn't make him one.

That's what I mean. If Terra is powerful enough to be a master, how is that different from being a master? Hopefully it will be explained in KH3D. I'm starting to think Terra being able to do the ceremony on Riku is just a plothole that Nomura didn't think about, like Donald and Goofy forgetting they were in Yen Sid's tower.

The difference is that Eraqus refused to give Terra the title. Terra is a master at heart but Eraqus didn't want to give him the title because of his hatred towards the darkness.

Terra is powerful enough to become a master but he was never made a master because master Eraqus never made him one because most his power was darkness...

Master Xehanort called Terra a Master so Terra would trust Xehanort more but Xehanort never made Terra a Master he just called him one. I don't know about the Riku thing but I think Terra made Riku a Keyblade wielder not a master and I think maybe that Keyblade wielders can make other people Keyblade wielders...... Maybe... My opinion....

he may have been powerful enough but he wasn't ready to take on the responsibilities that come with being a master (brings that saying to mind, "With Great power, comes great responsibility.") no explanation needed in kh3d http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png

He isn't an official Keyblade Master, although his power is that of one. He could perform the Inheritance Ceremony on Riku because of that. Also note that Eraqus gave Aqua further knowledge after she became a Master, knowledge that Terra doesn't have. In my opinion Terra is strong, but not Master yet. He just needs to take the Shounin Shiken again and become one!

Now Sora, he is a master xP

It doesn't need to be explained in KH3D. Terra had the suitable power to be a keyblade master, but he failed the exam because he couldn't control his darkness. Even Eraqus considered him a master. He's a master in power, but not in title.

I actually consider him a Master since Xehanort did give him the tittle.

The only way for Terra to be keyblade master would be by his master, which is Eraqus, not Xehanort.

Why is it that when I type it, people say I'm stupid for not knowing.

Basically everyone answered your question. Eraqus be nice and give him the title.

Did you forget about Mickey and Yen Sid? :D (though we haven't seen Yen Sid wield a Keyblade yet)

Haha well yeah sure but that's just because they're more major characters. :P

Alright, so I exaggerated. Most of the Disney characters are stupid and weak in KH (another example being when Cinderella met Ven and said, "I've never seen a mouse like you before." *facepalm*).

When you talk to mice like they're people, they start to look like people. I'm sure Cinderella has deep seated issues lol.

And I wouldn't say most disney characters are weak in heart...just mostly the princesses. Namely snow white. Dear god, I could barely stand listening to her voice >.<

He's a master in my eyes. ;w;

tutti frutti. I agree with Kishira, to me Terra is a Keyblade Master, even though he was never officially made a Master. In my opinion, I still believe that it was due to MX that the darkness appeared during the MoM as opposed to the darkness appearing randomly. Plus, being able to push away the darkness like that in the middle of the exam is impressive. My question is this: Do you think that Aqua would have been able to push away the darkness like Terra did? Granted Terra did end up in darkness afte the events of BBS, but if not for MX, Terra could have been a better Keyblade wielder. I don't think that Terra is power-hungry like Eraqus may have claimed. Yeah, his fighting style is power-based, but that should be allowed.

Plus riku is solid proof that darkness can be used for good Eraqus is just racist against the darkness.

I think there's reason Eraqus is that way, not only was he taught that the light was the way to go, but he had also watched the darkness take over his friend that was like a brother to him.

Judging from the cutscenes and the Xehanort reports it appears to me that Eraqus was trained in that manner,to believe that light is absolute is a liitle dangerous from what we've seen in the series, surely his master would have taught him better (or would he ). I also find it strange that Xehanort was so skilled in the art of darkness as well as the fact that he had far more knowledge of the keyblade lore and the abilites a keyblade possesed then Eraqus considering that Eraqus was chosen as the sucessor. Could it be that their differences and and rivalry was a set up all along? Just some food for thought.
