Sora96 17,256 Posted January 7, 2012 On March 28, 2002 Kingdom Hearts was released on the PlayStation 2 in Japan. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is confirmed for a release on the Nintendo 3DS during March 2012 in Japan. March 28, 2012 is a Wednesday. Seems fitting to release it then. 6 K1ngd0mH3artsFanat1c, DTD, TheApprenticeofKingMickey and 3 others reacted to this

keystrike 145 Posted January 7, 2012 I've heard this theory before. As likely as it sounds I'd feel a bit rooked if this was the only part of the tenth anniversary.

The secret ending will probably be a preview to Kingdom Hearts III. And if Birth by Sleep -Volume 2- turns out to be an actual game it will be announced this year. And also work will finally begin on Kingdom Hearts III. 1 DTD reacted to this
Rob 5,571 Posted January 7, 2012 I could've sworn I mentioned this in another thread. Anyway, games are released on Thursdays-Saturdays in Japan(if I remember clearly). So.......
J. Severe 1,137 Posted January 7, 2012 Kingdom Hearts 3D being released exactly ten years after the first KH? Makes sense.

lizzie1238 538 Posted January 7, 2012 I agree. Maybe it will be released in other countries on the 10th anniversary of the game coming out in those countries as well. When did KH come out in NA and EU?

So KH3D's production is suppose to be quicker than usual overseas, yet it still comes out after 4 months because the company wants to release it on it's 10th anniversary date? Does not compute. 1 axel91 reacted to this

Sora96 17,256 Posted January 7, 2012 I agree. Maybe it will be released in other countries on the 10th anniversary of the game coming out in those countries as well. When did KH come out in NA and EU? I seriously doubt that. Since they have already begun work on the English version and given how fast Re:coded came out. But to answer your question: North America: September 17, 2002 Europe: November 15, 2002 Australia: November 22, 2002 Things have changed a lot since then. For one: Kingdom Hearts was the only game in the series to be released in Europe before Australia. And secondly, English dubbing for video games is easier and quicker than it was back then. hatok 6,413 Posted January 7, 2012 Square Enix HAS gotten better at using their time for dubbing, but it seems KH never does get number one priority in that department. It's especially weird when you think about how most of the voice actors actually originate in English
LeoneSora 3 Posted January 13, 2012 I thought it too ^^ im just hoping that they make some special bonus for celebrating the 10 years
