We get to team up and fight at least once in the game. And, we get to choose whichever one you want to use during those certain battles. And, apparently, they're doing the same for the final boss battle.

He could be 12 for all we know. And, if he became a Nobody later on then the other 5, and is still VI, then that means Lea and everyone else became Nobodies after him, and are probbly as young as Ienzo in BbS.

 

My quick theory.

He ran away during the time that they became Nobodies. Came back years later, and saw no one, and either touched something that caused him to turn into a Nobody, or was attacked by Heartless.

He's only a little shorter than Ven, and Ven is around 14 or 15. How do you expect him to be 4...? I'd say somewhere around 10-13.
