Chapter 3.1 - The Decision In the morning of April 2nd, the three members of the small family were at the living room, watching the news about people starting to go to the new Planet. The first 500 thousand people had left Earth two hours ago. They would arrive in four hours, but there were many cameras in the special, modern airplane that was responsible for taking them to the recently found planet. That way, people on Earth would know how was the flight -- if it was good, secure, and also rethink if they truly wanted to leave Earth. So far, everything had gone well in this first flight. People were comfortable, happy, and seemed secure. Just like a normal flight, there were the people that paid more, and therefore had more benefits, and the people that paid less, and had less benefits. But, the government wanted to give a chance to everyone, so any person could pay how much they wanted, but if they paid more than 6,900$, then they would go in more comfortable, secure and better seats in the airplane. Finally, the first 500 thousand people had arrived in the new Planet. Besides the cameras in the airplanes, 50% of them were entrusted with a special, small camera -- that way people on Earth could see how it was, and see if they truly wanted to go there. Also, if someone found a bit of the magical power, they had to report it to the special guards that were sent to patrol the area, and defend the innocent people in case of any wild animal, or something that could be very dangerous showed up. But, of course, some people were really decided to find it, and become famous, have magical powers. Between these people, there were a very rich man -- who had bought everything he had ever wanted with all the money he got. All that was left for him to guarantee a special spot in History was that magical powder. He was forty-six, named Liuy, and had brought his entire family -- two sons, a daughter, his wife and mother -- to the new Planet. Also, he had decided to bring particular guards to him, which were a few people who he would entrust his life to, if it were needed. After this, they turned the TV off, and Vear told them what she had decided. “I’m staying. I can’t leave this place -- I’m sorry. If you two want to go, of course, feel free to do so. But alone.” Vear said. “But, mom -- We need to go!” Keyla replied. “No, I do NOT need to do anything I do NOT want to. You two are very young, if you truly want to live many more years, then I’d say it’s better if you two go. I’m almost sixty-five, and don’t know how many years are still left for me. I’m sorry, though. I know how much you two want to go...” Vear said. After this quick discussion, Vear went to her room, and locked the door, which showed that she did not want to talk to anyone for now. “Mom, I think we should wai---” Jason said. “You CAN WAIT all the time you want! I’m free to do whatever I want. If you want to stay with your grandmother, then die here with her!!!” Keyla said. ‘Fine, then go alone! You don’t have much money, you work selling things -- we live thanks to grandmom’s money! I wanna see how you’ll live in that planet!” Jason replied. “I can take care of myself. I’m sure there must be some hotel that can let me be there for a while -- and free.” she replied. “Then go. What are you waiting for?” Jason replied. “....” Keyla did not say anything, but instead went to her room, and like Vear, locked the door. Keyla had exactly 7,000$ in the bank, and so, when she noticed that Jason had gone to his room, to take a nap, she went to the bank, and with the money on her hands, bought herself a ticket to travel on April 4th -- which would be in the day after the following day. But, strangely, she wanted to travel at 2:00am. Selfish, she went back home, and pretended everything was alright. In the next day, the three of them had breakfast, and Keyla went to her room -- to organize everything she would take with her. Although the travel would only be in the following day, she had decided to organize everything earlier. She apologized for what she had said, and told them that she would always stay by their side, no matter what happened. In reality, all she wanted was to go in the next day without them knowing anything. But Vear found Keyla’s way of acting very weird -- she had never been so nice with her, unless if there were money in the situation. On the other side, Jason was happy that the three of them were finally managing to get along well -- in the past, half of the time there were only discussions. At the night, they watched TV together, and Keyla heard that, so far, all the airplanes had successfully arrived in Miteyp, and no accidents had happened until this point. People seemed to be enjoying their new planet, even though most of it had not been explored yet. At midnight, they all went to sleep. Strangely, Keyla said “thank you for everything, mom.”, before leaving Vear’s room and going to hers -- to get the ticked and her baggage. She had even put three knives -- in case she needed to fight with any wild animal. Also, she put lots of food, drinks, some books, and some personal stuff. Some tears appeared on her eyes, but her mind commanded her to simply abandon everything, and continue her life in the new Planet. When she closed the door, however, Vear head, and decided to go after her, without Keyla noticing, of course.
