Kairi-loves-Sushi 15 Posted November 24, 2009 It's a long long holiday (2 months) for us now *edit* We don't celebrate thanksgiving in our country. What's thanksgiving about anyways? well, to sum it up... Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is a holiday celebrated primarily in Canada and the United States. While perhaps religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday. The traditional "first Thanksgiving" is the celebration that occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621. The Plymouth celebration occurred early in the history of what would become one of the original thirteen colonies that became the United States. sneezes 73 Posted November 24, 2009 I got out on Friday, (Nov. 20th), and I get the rest of the week off. 8D Sad thing is, I'm going to Mexico for the rest of the week to visit my family. D; I really don't want to be in a 12-hour drive in either a sweltering sun or a freezing weather. -_-; I dun even get to enjoy my holidays; plus the fact I won't eat turkey or anything related to Thanksgiving because Mexico doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. D8 Hooray for ranting. 8DD
