Sora96 17,256 Posted December 30, 2011 Let me know your thoughts. My prediction: Australia would have stood strong. We'd just start using the U.S more.

Sora96 17,256 Posted December 30, 2011 Less dead people. Just saying. Fair prediction. But you must also consider that the U.S wouldn't have been there to take down Japan or Germany. So the war would have been longer. And Germany would have probably taken over Europe.

Paranoia 494 Posted December 30, 2011 I agree, but without war, the world would be a better place. We can only achieve true peace by talking. You are right in theory, but wrong in fact. War, in the most basic and instinctual fact, is inevitable. If every single human being was born the same way, brought up the same way, practiced the same religion, and lived the same way without the horrors of real life, then maybe pease would be reasonable. But due to human nature, we like to be different. Some of us like to branch off and do our own thing. Live the way we want, practice the religion of worshiping Fruity Pebbles, or some other religion that may conflict with another's religion. That is what has started 60% of the wars in human history. Someone saying that they're god is better than another's. Another factor that has come from war is freedom. To fight for their own independance from another oppressive entity. Because someone decided that they can own people like they were an animal. Maybe because of the religion they practiced, or their skin was a little more white the the one(s) they owned. Or because a group was trying to escape from an oppressive government. They wanted to be free and not live by the rules of a douchebag king or queen or tyrant. On the other side, ther have been wars to further enhance the size of a government's territory. Butchering whoever stood against them, and enslaving the rest. Also there are wars that fought over stupid reasons. "That person took my pig, so let's kill them all just in case they're all theives" Stupid things like that. The point is, is that no matter what we do, no matter how many rules are put in place, some /will/ come along and try to change it. For better or for worse. 1 Kaiso reacted to this

Paranoia 494 Posted December 31, 2011 maybe japan had bombed U.S.A first To my understanding, Japan didn't have nuclear powers at that time.

Amon 4,279 Posted January 1, 2012 1. Swastikas would be hanging from Big Ben, Wermarcht now march in Red Square and Europe is renamed "Greater Germany". Put it this way, Germany was owning everyone until Uncle Sam showed up. Pretty self explanatory. 2. The entire Pacific belongs to the Japanese, at the time no country in Asia or the Pacific had the military capability to fight a war against the Japanese. Without US and Russian intervention China quickly falls to the might of Japan. Australia, too far away to receive support from... well... pretty much everyone gets owned but due to it's large territory so disconnected from everything Japan will have a little trouble with initial occupation. 3. Genocides at the hands of the Nazi's and Japanese triple. Japan is likely to be the worst offender, massacres in China, the Philippines, and other locations make the holocaust look like a minor decrease in population. 4. As America does not enter the war immediately, it is likely to start production on Atomic weapons much later. As a result, Germany is likely to get a functional nuclear weapon first. Germany also has a Ballistic Missile program that bombarded England during the Blitz. Prototype missiles that could hit America were being designed throughout the war. With this is in mind America is now under the threat of nuclear missile attack, approximately 10 years early. 5. A full scale invasion of the United States is launched. 6. I am writing this in a different language. 2 Sora96 and Kaiso reacted to this
Amon 4,279 Posted January 1, 2012 Less dead people. Just saying. Genocide would increase much more, it would not only justify nuking Japan but nuking them 20 times. yeah, but they would have if pearl harbor was not attacked (sorry for bad english) Japan had no nuclear weapons program and had no interest in a nuclear weapons program. Nor did they have any aircraft capable of delivering nuclear weapons. 1 Sora96 reacted to this
