Chapter 1: A beginning

 

 

The stars were sparkiling like lights in the sky. Jayden was laying in the sand, gazing up at the sky. He was glad to look up at the stars, it made him feel one with the world. Jayden was a boy around 14 years of age, he lived in a large kingdom named Cruacia. Jayden had blonde spiky hair, his sparkiling light blue eyes reminded most of the sky. Jayden didnt have family after the war with Landor, a rival kingdom. "Hey, Jayden, are you going to just laying around, or are you going to help me." Jayden sat up smiling at his friend Kasai. Ksai had short red hair, held in a piece of string on the back of his head, since he insisted to not let the tailors give him a trim. "Your are so lazy, you know that Jayden." "Look whos talking." "Well are you going to help me or not, you know the blacksmith wants this metal by sunset." "Alright, let me give you a hand, woah!" Kasai threw a box full of copper to make the hilts of the sword.

 

They headed to the shop, Jayden and Kasai had not much of options but to work for Darvan, they needed a way to get money. "Well, my best assistants, put the boxs over there by the fire. Heres your guys pay for the week." Darvan handed Kasai the bang of clinking gold coins. "Alright, lets take this to the market." "Right away?" "Well we need to." Kasai was two years older than Jayden, so he took charge all the time.

 

The house the lived in wasnt too big, or too small. It was just right for two young boys. "Here, dinner." Kasai tossed a loaf of bread to Jayden. "One of these days, i want us to go and make something of ourselves. Like go to the otherside." "Oh, boy not this again. Look Jayden every kid has dreams, but most of them are reasonable, like they want to meet someone, or they want to travel, but you, you want to go out into that big world far beyond they border, you want to go to Sarcum. The land with nothing. Noone comes back, we are in our little kingdom and that is that." "But, what if theres a place beyond Sarcum, a new world where we could be heros, and we wont have to live like this anymore!" "Dreams aare for when you sleep Jayden, not when your awake, now since you want to dream get some rest, me, im beat." " Why cant you see it, why cant you agree?" Jayden peeped over the side of his bed to get a response from Kasai, but all he got was a snore. Jayden sighed, he rested his head on his pillow, he ossed and turned. "I know theres something out there, and one day i will find it."

Chapter 2 : The dream

 

Jayden woke up with a start. He rubbed his head trying to get rid of the headache he got. He had another dream, he saw a beautiful women. She had gold flowing hair, shining eys, and a white dress. Why was he dreaming of a women of all things. "Jayden, we have to go to Daven's,, come on" Jayden looked at Kasai in suprise, "Uh...yeah sure." He hoped out of bed and gathered his materials.

 

Jayden gathered the copper for Daven so he could make another sword. "Well me lads, have you heard of the royal ball tonight?" "Royal ball?" "Yup, the king wants to celebrate his wifes birthday, and the fact that she will give birth." "So, its a giant fancy party, where all the wealthy people go and show off." "Well, Jayden me boy, i guess you arent a fan of balls are you." "I just hate how people tend to do that." Kasai came over and put his arm around Jayden's neck. "Come on, its just suppose to be fun, we should go, you have your mind in all this crazy stuff." "Alright, alright i guess i will." "Great, well lets go find something to wear."

 

"I dont like how you are making me do this you know." "I just want you to go have a good time alright, well lets go." Jayden and Kasai walked up the giant stairs that led to the great albany doors. "Halt! Who goes there?" "Kasai, and Jayden, we are apprenticed by the blacksmith Darvan." "Well, you may pass." "Thank you kind sir." Jayden was suprised by what happened. "How did you do that?" "Heh, practice, the people around here love it when you become fancy." Jayden still had a suprised look on his face. "Hahahaha." "Whats so funny?" "You, just calm dowwn alright, your not asking a girl out or anything, are you?" "Kasai!" "Cool it, we are here." The huge doors opened up with great ease, even though the doora must have weighed tons. Once they opened even a slite bit Jayden saw so many people in marvelous clothes dance with one another. Jayden was lucky he found a nice outfit to wear, even though it was a little big on him. Jayden looked at Kasai's clothes, he wore an amber coloerd suit, it matched him perfectly. Jayden had a dark blue suit, Jayden sighed as he saw others clothes. "Dont worry, you'll be fine, just go and dance."

 

Jayden went to the window, he wasnt big at dancing, nor did he really like it. But he saw Kasai dance with a lovely brunette. Her hair was tied back in a bun, she was something. Even though Kasai was a clutz she laughed and kept dancing. Jayden looked out at the full moon , he was marveled at its wonderful glow. He always felt a certain strength come from the moon. "The moon is beautiful tonight isnt it?" "Yeah, i just wish i could be outside to enjoy it." "I like the full moon, it reminds me that the world can be beautiful as well." Jayden turned around to see a wonderful young blonde girl. She had rose red lips, while her hair curled down her neck to her back. He saw her grass green eyes, Jayden was speechless. "My name is Samantha, what is your?" "I...um...uh..J-Jayden." "Heh, well Jayden want to dance?" "Sure" Jayden followed Samantha to the dance floor.

 

She held is hand in hers, and they moved across the dance floor. Jayden didnt even know they were moving, he was stunned by her eyes. She smiled the whole time at him, he smiled back. He felt that he was in a trance, and she was the siren. She twirled out and he held her hand, and pulled her back. While they were dancing the great king slowly stood up, causing everyone to stop. "I will see you again, Jayden." He watched her leave in her beautiful golden gown. "Someone was bite by the love bug." Kasai came over to him, and smiled mischeaviously at him. "I...um" "My fellow subjects, today we are honoring my beloved wifes birthday, and the news of my daughter." The king raised a glass of wine in the air. "May she always prosper and rule, just like her father." "Hazza!" But suddenly there was a bang. Jayden turned, something popped in his mind, 'Jayden, remember your dream, come to me'.

Chapter 3: Legacies....?

 

The ground shook and crumbled beneath them. "Everyone, out of the palace!!' The guards tried to gather all the people to the exit. The people started to swarm like ants with water. Jayden kept getting smaked into others, he could barely move himself. "Kasai! Kasai!" Jayden tried to call his friend. But his pleas were to no avail.

Jayden felt more of an aftershock in the ground. It moved and trembled, unbalancing him to the ground. Jayden tried to look through the crowds that huddled around the exit. He saw a man in dark clothing walking closer to him. His face was shielded in the dark corners of the shadow his hood provided. Jayden saw that he was one of the few people left in the palace. He tried to scramble away, but he tripped over a fallen beam that held the roof up. The man bent down abit to look at Jayden's face. Jayden's breathing got faster, he was frightened to the core, because he was sure that this man had no face.

"An old relic will crumble, and will bring forth a new life." The mans voice was cold and raspy, it seemed to echo in the hollows of his mind. "You are nothing moore than a coakroach." Jayden tried to find a nearby weapon he could grasp. The mans voice seemed to penetrate the very essence he called his soul. Suddenly, Jayden felt a cold grip on his chest. He gasped, he felt like he was being strangled. He looked at the man, he saw that his fist was closing. It seemed this man was hurting him without touching him.....how? "Wha-what ar-are yo-you" Jayden could barely talk as he tried to shake off this invisable force. "Such an insignifigent child, you cant even amount to me, what use are you" Jayden felt himself begging for breath, suddenly a shining light started to shine He shut his eyes, and when they opened everything was gone.

"How am i...?" "Welcome, Jayden" Jayden looked up to see a beautiful women in white. Her hair shined like the morning sun, her clothes represented the evening dawn. "Why am I" "You are here because you are special. You see their is a deep story hidden within every heart, that story can be harnessed, and used for good. But it can also be used for evil. When people die, their heart gives their story to another. They give their legacy to another." "Their.....legacy?" "Yes, the person who has that legacy is gifted with the knowlege and the memory of that person. But the legacies are being torn apart and are being used for evil" Jayden looked at the women with a puzzled look. "What does this have to do with me?" "A man that used to live has died, and he has given his legacy to you." "Who!?.....Who gave me this...legacy" But the women diappeared with a slight smile on her face.
