KH3D short haired riku

im not gonna lie, i am hating hard on this. I really, really liked longer haired riku. i think it fit his character perfectly, and i think he looked boss. i think they are doing this to distiguish this riku from others, since they are bringing back old riku (data riku?) or whatever, but why oh why change his hair. he was perfect ((( im just venting my rage i guess, it doesnt look terrible or anything, just he looks younger, and i dont like it.

I think Sora looks worse than Riku. While Riku's short hair does make him seem slightly younger, he also has a sense of maturity in his face so I can still believe that he aged. Sora, however, went back to looking like he is 14. That upsetted me more than Riku's change.

But I'm sorry to hear that you're sad. Maybe you'll get used to it once you start playing.

riku's hair isnt that big of a deal honestly its a change people just need to get used to as for sora yes it annoying they used kh1 sora as a base again but who cares we still get a new game and a great gameplay

I hate Riku's new hair too. He looks like an old chinese lady lol His old hair definitely fit his mysterious personality better and he just looked a million times better too. Oh well -___-

its nice to see them looking different and riku looks now far more confident and less more upsetted and girly.

I like soras outfit cause it reminds about both of his outfits and he also looks better in kh1 face design than kh2 face design.

Nah, in the last big trailer, they had Sora and Riku (post-KH2) talking to Yen Sid about the Mark of Mastery. Riku's hair was cut.

 

I think Riku's short hair still looks pretty good in KH3D, with his younger face it looks great, but on his 16 year-old self (KH2, admit his face was a little different), it just looked bad. I'll confess that.

 

It does bug me how Sora's face is back to looking baby-ish. It's like...seriously, he still looks like a know-nothing. Not even a slight...expression change or something. KH2 he looked fine. Looked like he was actually older. And like you guys said, even in KH3D (younger form), Riku still looked like he'd matured from KH1.

I actually did know this.

 

When someone goes through a traumatic series in their life, they cut off their hair to symbolize new change and a new beginning.

 

But RIku looks awful with it lol

I can get the Japanese hair thing. I felt like completely different in a weird way when I first cut my hair to be short like Kairi's in KH1. It was weird. But good. I kind of want to do something really new with my hair now, 'cause of something that happened and I just want to feel that difference. But...my hair's already been cut short. So what do I do with it that's just completely new? (No, not going back to super long ever again. )

I do admit, it looks weird and I blew my top off the first time I saw him like that. Now I've gotten used to it, but I do prefer his KH2 hair better... RIP Riku's KH2 hair. Hopefully he'll grow it back.

Aside from a stylistic perspective, which I will shortly express my excitement for getting his old look back, it really goes to show how Riku's moving on. You don't think he's gotten used to that hair to? Its a bit hard to steer clear of sounding corny, but its become a part of him. I'm sure that with this new look, we'll see Riku grow too. Anyways, BBSV2 will surely offer more new scenes of his long hair look if you are going to miss it that much.

My guess is, it'll be long in the opening video, in the actual final battle, it'll still be short.

I got used to riku's hair. But Sora goig back to that childish self with that dumb face and huge round eyes bugs me to death. On kh2 he looked like he was always thinking bout something with a serious expression on his face. He was so reliable. He should look like that since he's becoing more powerful

yea i always liked sora's kh2 appearance as well. he has the same appearance before the test, but i guess they have a reason for changing it back when he starts the test. hope its a good reason lol.
