Tom 437 Posted November 21, 2009 We all heard of Sanctuary, the theme song for KHII and 358/2 Days. And you remember thoses gibberish parts where you can't understand? Well they are infact backwards. Here is the video, containing all of thoses backwards parts: However, there might be a hidden message when the whole song is backwards. And you really have to read the lyrics: Now I am not sure about theses lyrics being backwards, considering that a couple of them are just weird. Not only that, this is what people thought they heard...so yeah...but I still think it's a message. BTW, I don't think that last part where Roxas is talking backwards doesn't really matter. It's just the singing part that matters 1 Riosephmido reacted to this
Heartless666 14 Posted November 21, 2009 Well I think Utada is saying that defeating ansem was easy and they thought it was a dream because they finally defeated him but they got seperated. And in the time during KH they all grew up hence the part "we three all grew". It is sorta confusing but I kinda get it.
Rose Riku 39 Posted November 21, 2009 Hahah. I've seen this before. I think it's epic.

Deadshot 666 Posted November 21, 2009 I've seen this before it is pretty cool
Misuzu 15 Posted November 21, 2009 I know everyone thinks there is a hidden message, but honestly people, would Nomura REALLY go that far as to writing lyrics that have meanings backward and forward? It's too much. I'm sure if everyone heard it first without the person putting subtitles you wouldn't have a clue what she's saying. The words make it seem like those are the words, when most of them don't even match the subtitle. Although it's cool, I'm sure there isn't a hidden message. Sora96 17,256 Posted November 22, 2009 Kaiso is right but some parts u did understand but how can a song backwards make more sense then forward very strange
xRayne93 10 Posted November 22, 2009 i think it sounds awesome both ways 8D @_@ haha~
Koko 3,944 Posted November 23, 2009 Actually Sanctuary reversed is pretty much like Riku's side of the story in a way. And simple and clean reversed is Roxas's story I believe
Arpeggio 0 Posted December 8, 2009 well.... as cool as it sounds, we all know it would be to hard to make a song that makes sense forward and backwards. its hard enough trying to write a song that makes sense forwardlol. this would be extremely hard without distorting the words that arent supposed to be backwards . and this song is almost five mins, and i think it would be impossible (literally) to make a song made comletely out of words that make sense backwards and forward, although i do believe the parts u cant understand are supposed to be backwards. X 1 Posted December 14, 2009 This is the lyrics that you cant understand: Forward: "wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I" Backwards: "I need more affection that you know" Still doesnt think its meant to be backwards?
Xenliad 0 Posted December 17, 2009 The "I need more affection than you know" is the only one that I understood without the subtitles.
RoxSox 3,593 Posted December 20, 2009 I think that theres no way it can simply be coincidence how well when its backwards fits in with KH.... there has to be a point to this.... ....but, we may never know...
Rixam 1 Posted December 20, 2009 I think it's all a coincidence. I read somewhere a couple of years ago that the only part that was supposed to mean something backwards was the "I need more affection than you know" part. So I think the rest is just a coincidence. We hear what we wanna hear, and we wanna hear something KH related.
Kachapush 0 Posted December 30, 2009 I haven't heard that song reversed before so I can only say some things: I think the song was supposed to be related to Kingdom Hearts when reversed so that people will not get confused and think "what does it have to do with KH?" Or I'm wrong. That's all I can think of I haven't heard the song reversed before. Only today.
Rose Riku 39 Posted December 30, 2009 Utada did: 'Wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I' in the English song on purpose. It is backwords for I need more affection than you know. Some people think that she's singing in Japanese at that part. It's not Japanese.
SavageNymph 7 Posted December 30, 2009 thats my fave version of the song ^^ so different ;D
Sorage55 10 Posted January 3, 2010 hmm the ending was.. confusing what does it mean? a mirror? well, I may be a new member here, but this topic itself is very used to me. What i think of as a mirror to them, i guess would be that when Sora or Kiari lost their hearts, then gained them back, Namine and Roxas were made, Namine is like the mirrored or other version of Kiari. You look into a mirror, what do you see? Yourself, but its different-its the reversed image. You raise your right hand and the mirror self raises its left. etc. So when Sora says he is sorry...that might be because he unlocked his heart to unlock kiari's, by doing that...he made namine', and if it wern't for Namine' then probably the entire KH recom and recom rr, series wouldn't happen. At least...this is only my theory...
soraman3324189 0 Posted January 3, 2010 that was epic!
ObsidianEagle 103 Posted January 3, 2010 I know that 'i need more affection that you know' where put there on purpose. but i don't think the other parts are real. because what are the chances in the song they would put: i defeated ansem was it easy yeah that's just not real at all. someone else has my riku pic... i will go in the corner and cry...
AnimePunk10 0 Posted January 16, 2010 i think it's about riku. Cause of the now sleep"He want sora to sleep in peace" and the i hear i was ansem and what not. but the song sounds kinda cool backwards
gambler-of-fate 1 Posted January 17, 2010 I think its about roxas because at the end/beging he's talking to namine
