well, in trailers, we see sora appearing to first district while riku appears to third one.

and if they are switching, maybe this is part of it.

firstly sora wakes and when he feels drowsy at third district, he fells to sleep, they switch and then riku appears to same place, where sora left. does this make any sense?

what i said is this: Sora wakes up, meets Neku etc... they are attacked by man in black coat in third district and suddenly sora feels drowsy and fells asleep. then riku wakes in third district. Is this part of that thing, where sora switches to riku when drop gauge is empty?

Actually I think that Riku and Sora arrive at the same time. But it could be possible. But I get the feeling that the scene with Neku and the person in the organization cloak seems to happen after quite a bit of time, so I'm not sure about it.

I think you're right, or at least on to something. It would explain why we haven't seen Sora and Riku together so far in the trailers. Except from the parts where they are in their KH2 cloths.

I'm having a vary hard time figuring out how the timeline of things is going to work out....especially with boss battles and cutscenes. You're with one character, then bam, you're the other character during the middle of that scene/battle? That seems really wonky. e.o;;;

The whole thing about switching roles in the middle of the game is confusing all on it's own but, I understand most of what you are saying.

My question is what if you didn't save the game in the previous role? And it instantly switches to another? That wouldn't be fun.

What I think is that, like Joshua said, the traverse town was split into two. So I guess, Sora and Riku would never meet on each world? Also, it is important to know how the Drop Gauge will drain? It could be like, it will drain at certain point and not randomly? If the Drop Gauge drain at a random interval then that could mess up the system lol I don't know how could this work.
