KH3D Am I the only one who thinks KH 3D will be a massive failure?

It looks like nothing but one long ass commercial to promote every Disney product ever made as well as every Square Enix game.

 

What's next? A nintendo world?

 

If that's what you think, then clearly you don't know the point of Kingdom Hearts in general. ...Not that I do, but still.

By the way, a Nintendo world wouldn't be that bad, but that depends in which franchise it could be based.

Not hating on you or KH, just saying.

 

Not all, the earlier KH games stayed true to themselves with original characters interacting with Disney characters with maybe a 10 minute cameo from a FF character. Now it's just a clusterfiretruck of "Hey! Lets mention every game we've ever made and promote all of Disney's obscure movies!"

 

If that's what you think, then clearly you don't know the point of Kingdom Hearts in general. ...Not that I do, but still.

 

The point of Kingdom Hearts is to witness the adventure of pre-pubescent boy who ruin's peoples hopes of having their lives restored to normality...just so he can get with a girl...

Yes they do. If you wanted to make a better argument you could of ripped off the "Fairly Odd Parents" and said "Kingdom hearts and fail don't belong in the same sentence unless 'doesn't' is in the middle!"

No I'm not trolling, Kingdom Hearts is turning into advertisements that you have to pay for.

 

And the avatar disappeared when KH13 updated to the latest version and I have been too much of a lazy asshole to try and change it.

Are you kidding?! 99% of people who have played TWEWY love it. Guess you must be part of the 1% of haters.

That's because Square Enix has the most obsessive fanbase to ever exist in gaming. The game could consist of nothing but Neku sitting on the toilet and the fanboys will still fap to it.

 

And I'm the 1%? Cool, now go mow my 500 acre lawn!

Well, its your opinion. I do think that the TWEWY characters are a getting a bit too much. Just Neku was alright, but we now have three from the series, and possibly more. However, it is a pretty big exaggeration to say "Hey! Lets mention every game we've ever made...", as TWEWY is only one game and I have yet to see any FF in this game.

 

I don't see how using Disney's more obscure movies is a bad thing. Would you rather just have them use the popular ones they have used a billion times already? Also, it doesn't appear that anyone is interacting with Disney characters any more than usual...

 

I doubt it will fail. Storywise, it can't be worse than Re:coded, graphics are shaping up to be like BbS at least, and the gameplay is different from other games in the series and looks pretty fun on top of it. The only way I can see this failing is if they just make a huge fanservice to TWEWY, or the gameplay sucks.

tutti frutti. I couldn't have put that sentence in better words. Whether a game succeeds or fails, despite the company, people would be willing to buy it up to a certain point, and if it makes money that's a plus for the company. Though I'm seriously hoping that it's not worse than coded. But if the game WAS bad in some way, shape or form then Square would have a large number of upset fans.

Umm, ok, in that case, as I said, in my not so humble opinion, I think that KH has always been the same. Or at least for me. Perhaps, it is more noticeable now because they are using characters and movies that weren't that popular. For example, I wouldn't be surprised if SE decides to make a TWEWY sequel, getting advantage that the characters of that game will appear in KH3D and as a result, people could start to ask for a sequel. This and the fact that a direct-to-video movie is set to appear as a world may give the player of the game at least the curiosity to know where those characters come from.

As I said, I didn't know who Zack was, in the same way I didn't knew that there were a Tron movie before the new one or a cousin of Stitch until I saw them in KH2 and KHBBS respectively.

 

Nevertheless, that shouldn't be a factor to determine if this game will succed or fail. I mean, as long as the new gameplay mechanics are good and the plot is bareable, I could handle it. This game could be the most promotional of all KH games, but I'm not looking after which worlds will appear in,, I'm looking for something that will entertain me for a couple of hours.

 

Yet, everyone has its own opinion, I respect yours and somewhat agree with it.

I'm not a fan of The World Ends With You (or Final Fantasy, for that matter) - but I'll accept that there are TWEWY characters in the game if they only have minor roles. :)

 

That won't influence my decision to keep track of the KH:3D storyline, however. Don't think I'll get the game itself, seeing as I dislike Sora and would hate to potentially kill off Ansem Seeker of Darkness (who is one of my favourite characters).
