Roxas' and ventus' theme song

If you listen carefully, ventus and roxas theme song almost the same right? or am I wrong? I can tell you this because I really love both roxas and ventus theme song!(>̯͡⌣<̯͡)

Yeah, in Ven's theme song, there's a bit of both Roxas and Sora's theme songs put it there. Of course, it was fully intentional.

Since Ventus is basically a clone of Roxas, everything about him is taken from Roxas, from his hair to his clothes to his theme

Xion's is meant to have a bit of Kairi's in hers though. If Naminé's in there, I don't know, 'cause I don't know Naminé's song very well.

 

I know for sure Xion's battle theme has Kairi's and Dearly Beloved though.

Yeah, from the moment I first watched the 2009 TGS trailer for BBS, I recognized the bits from Roxas's theme in Ven's theme. Both 'Roxas' and 'Ventus' are my favorite themes in the whole series!

Just like SE had to back up and say that Roxas looked the way he did because of Ventus. In KH2, they made it more like "Roxas looks just like Sora with different hair" kind of thing. Especially with the ending of KH2 (when Sora looked up at Kairi and his face blended into Roxas'). Then they had to change their minds and be like "Eh no, Roxas looks like that because of Ventus. Sora and Roxas just happen to 'look alike.'"

There's actually a theory that Sora looks like Ven because of what happens in the beginning of Birth By Sleep. You know, when the newborn Sora comes to Ven and shares his heart? The theory is that at that point, Sora's face changed to resemble Ven's--since their hearts were one, they came to look like each other. I think it's even possible that the whole sharing of hearts event may have taken place shortly before Sora was born, and that way his parents wouldn't have been freaked out by their baby's face changing. IDK, it's just a theory, but it sort of makes sense and helps to fill the plot holes, you know? Instead of Ven and Sora's resemblance just being a horribly cheesy coincidence. Haha!

Nomura said (I think in the BBS Ultimania) the first scene in BBS was meant to be the night of Sora's birth, so it's not like Sora's face changed when he was already born, but rather while being born.

It's still hard to see the similarity between the two. Even if you mentally try taking KH2 Sora and giving him Roxas' hair, it doesn't quite work. Not Roxas-y enough. Same if you try Giving Roxas Sora's hair. Maybe. The ending for KH2 just cheated with the blending of their faces.

 

It'd be interesting if you could say Sora looked "sort of" like Ven because of the heart joining thing. Like the night Sora was born or something. Besides, I'd add that most newborn babies look kinda the same on the first day of their out-of-womb life. So it wouldn't have been noticeable. But still, point out how Vanitas looks like Sora because of the heart connection, but Van doesn't look much like Ven, y'know? Hrm.

 

Now Xion and Kairi (KH2). That's some resemblance. But of course, it was intentional from the beginning.

Yeahh! I'm really confused that why vanitas looked alike sora while he is ventus darkness and roxas looked alike ventus while he's sora' nobody (¬_¬")
