" W-What?" She looked at wolf. Hes gonna help me though... She thought. She shivered from a cool breeze. She looked at the sky. It was beginning to darken, She pulled her hood up over her head for warmth.

" Does anyone have an idea of where she is?" Red finally asked.

"And what is this?"

Alice froze. A rather large lady stood in front of her, surrounded by the card soldiers. Most of her body was consumed by a gold and red dress made by the finest silks and the most elegant designs. The woman's brown hair was fashioned so that it made a heart shape, and a glorious crown accessorized it on the top. Despite the royal appearance, her dark coal eyes pierced at Alice as she cringed her face.

"It appears to be a human girl, Your Majesty."

"And why is she in my gardens?" the Queen of Hearts asks, becoming very impatient.

Nervous, Alice answered, "W-well, you see... I was just trying to find my way around, but I got lo--"

"Your way?!" the Queen roared in the young girl's face. "This is my kingdom! All ways are my way!" Alice gulped, not daring to answer back, even if the way she phrased that puzzled her. Suddenly, the Queen peered down at the bucket in Alice's hands. "What's this?" she asked. Grabbing ahold of the brush's handle, she pulled it out of the bucket to examine the bristles. Thick red liquid seeped down the brush, almost touching the skin of her hand, but she turned it over to prevent that. She handed it over to one of the cards to have them examine it for her. After a moment, they whispered something into her ear, which, in return, made her widen her eyes. "It was you that painted my roses red?!"

"W-what?" Alice said, trying to defend her poor, little self. "No! These two... These two cards, they--"

"Arrest her! Off with her head!"

Immediately, two card soldiers advanced towards Alice, but before they could grab ahold of her arms, out of panic, she ran.

" A dragon?" Red squeaked her eyes wide. She didn't like where this was going at all. Why couldn't he have hid her in a cottage or something? No it had to be dragon. It took her a while to find her voice again.

" A-Are you sure?" She asked Riku.

Wolf considered a moment. He didn't like the idea of fighting a fire breathing creature and especially didn't like the idea of relying on the bloodsucker to do his part to kill the dragon. Time to look at some alternatives.

"What do you know about the dragon?" he asked.

"Better question is what don't I know. The dragon was created by the queen herself out of a simple rabbit. The dragon has no toughts for itself, but will stop at nothing to have a meal. Just like someone I know." Riku said looking at wolf.

Wolf nodded. A transformation job. There was usually some remains of the old creature's instincts long after the spell took effect, but how much was always in question.

"It once being a rabbit might be something we can exploit, but that is not for certain." he told the other two. "We won't know till we met it."

Red noticed the sky starting to turn a soft shade of orange.

" Well if you guys plan on fighting a dragon today we better get going." She said wrapping her arms around herself as the faint breeze touched her.

" And if it turn out to have, er rabbit like qualities. It shouldn't be that hard to fight...... right?"

Wolf nodded his agreement.

"Rest will do us all good." he said.

Wolf looked around.

"Your Grandmother's house will be the best spot."

He gave Riku a withering glance.

"A nice neutral spot."

Red thought for a moment.

" Yes my mother was supposed to take grandmother to our house so the cottage should be empty..." She picked up a few sticks to start a fire and started off down the trail to the house.

" You coming?" She asked wolf and Riku.

Wolf gave Riku another glare, then dismissed him.

"Coming." he answered Red.

He pushed passed Riku and Red to take the lead. Rumple and the Queen were no fools. Best make sure nothing tried to intercept them before they got to the cottage.

"Take us the rear, leach." he called back to Riku.

Red didn't know what to think of what Riku said. She decided to think about it later. She watched wolf walk infront of her. What is he scared of? She wondered. She shifted the small branches in her arms makiong herself more comfortable for the walk. They walked for about 5 minutes before the cottage came into view. Just as Red had said earlier it was dark and empty inside. She opened the door and knelt infront of the fire place setting the branches in it.

" Now where did that flint go....." She wondered outloud.

" You use it to start fires." She said opening different drawers throught the house.

" Here it is!" She walked back to the fireplace bending over it. It took her a few tries but she got a spark and the fire started going.

" Much better." She sighed and pulled her knees up to her chin infront of the fire place gazing into the flames.

"Ah, fire. I love to watch the flames dance in one motion. It is my hope that I see in the fire. I am sorry, Red. I didn't want this life of chasing after a nice sweet girl for a dinner meal. I was abused when I became a Vampire so I don't know how to feel anymore." Riku told her sitting across from the fire.

Wolf curled up in a spot close to Red. He sniffed and smelled the emotions in the room. Riku could be trying to manipulate Red, but emotions changed a creature's scent. He could easily smell Red's fear of the situation. Other emotions were harder to smell, but Wolf had a good nose and he was very interested to see what Riku was feeling.

Red shrugs.

" Its not your fault." She says in a quiet voice. She forces herself to overcome the fear she has next to Riku and begins to relax. Her eyelids begin to feel heavy and she yawns softly. She begins to wonder what time it is. Finally the fire starts to warm up the cottage dispelling the chill brought in from outside.

Red rubbed her eyes and looked at Riku she got up to pick a blanket up off the couch.

" Im.. sorry" She said and she laid the blanket around Riku's shoulders. She sat down next to him unsure of what to do.
