Have you ever heard of the School? You probably have, since that's the humiliating laboratory you've grown up in. Have you ever understood the concept of normal? Normal isn't real, to you. All around you are strange, hybrid creatures produced by the School. The lupine-human combination that makes Erasers, and then a series of other odd half-and-halfs. But you're one of the most special of all these hybrids. You're one of the school's greatest successes, an avian-human mix. And while you're prized, you life isn't worth much here. That's why it's time to find the other winged-freaks and escape.

- In this RP, spelling and grammar are a must. A few mistakes here and there is fine, but I need you to seriously make your English teachers proud and type like you're serious. It's not that hard and makes everyone else's life easier.

Starting Point:

Currently, all six characters have just flown away from the School, and are flying towards who-knows-where, discussing there daring escape and beginning to figure out what to do.

Unbelievable. That word kept repeating itself in Hope's mind. I did it! Free! Unbelievable. It was an indescribably beautiful feeling to be soaring unrestrained through the air for the first time. She spared a glance for the other flying freaks. She didn't known who they were, but if they were trying to escape, too, then Hope didn't have a problem with them.

"I'm Hope," She announced, scanning them warily. "Who are you guys?"

Roxas looked around just in time. His eyes widened. He saw a lupine hybrid bounding towards him. He kicked it and it flew into a car. He was amazed at his own reaction time. Another dashed up and tried clawing him, but Roxas backflipped and spread his wings.He flew up into the sky, and awaited the others. "Guys! Hurry!"

At the sound of Hope's scream, Hakura didn't think twice and jumped into the air, flapping hard to get away from the ground and higher into the air. No, she thought, no,no,no!! this can't be happened. "Come on!" she yelled to the others. The only people that are just like her and she didn't want them to end up back at that school and she didn't want to end back up there herself

"I hear more coming, at least 2 dozen or so." He could hear the fast movements of those nasty half-human half-beast. He pulled out some wire he took before he left the school. He started to fly and landed on top of one of them. He wrapped the wire around it's neck and pulled tightly, but it wasn't working, so he bit the creatures neck like a bat attacking it's prey. It was working, he pulled tighter and tighter until he couldn't hear the things breathing anymore. "We have to get out of here, now!" he said the loudest he's ever spoken.

Hope jumped into the air, and her wings immediately beated, lifting her higher. A few of the Erasers jumped into the air and followed. For a moment, Hope completely forgot about the others. All she could process was her fear of Erasers and a need to escape. She spun around nervously. "Come on, come on, there are too many of them. We can't outfight all of them! It's safer to fly!" Hope wasn't ordinarily the cowardly type, but she knew when she was outmatched.

Roxas kept shouting to them. "Hey! Hey! Up here!" The Erasers looked up. One special looking one sprouted wings. "Oh...firetruck..." said Roxas. It clawed at him, but Roxas flew upwards more, and made a hand sign with his hand. Electricity cackled out of it, growing and manifesting. Roxas grinned, his teeth gleaming in the light of the electricity. He punched through it, and electricity coursed throughout it's body. It howled, and it fell, losing blood with a hole in it's chest. It hit the ground with a sickening thud. "Hah. How do you like them apples?" Roxas said.

"Erasers?" Parabelle said quizcally. His question was answered with a growl from behind. He turned around to see a beast. Half wolf, half human. The thing pounced at him, its teeth were abnormally sharp like daggers. Parabelle managed to move out the way before the beast could take his head off. The beast grazed Parabelle cheek and a thin flow of blood trickled. In Parabelle's panic, he scrambled back up into the air in fear. His ascent brought a new horror as men came out of what was a car. They had guns pointed toward him and they fired. In Parabelle's panic, he escaped the battle and blindly flew deeper into the city.

 

This isnt a haven was Parabelle's first distressed thought. This is Hell.

Roxas sighed, while fighting off some Erasers in the air. "There goes Parabelle." He flew after Parabelle to attempt to cheer him up. The Erasers followed, but he didn't notice. Parabelle was flying through th streets coasting around. He looked bewildered. He then felt his leg get cut, and noticed the Erasers were following. He turned around, his attention off Parabelle to take down the following Erasers.

After finishing off another Eraser, he hears bullets flying. Nearly as loud as what he heard at the school. He begins running into the opposite direction avoid the other Eraser's and the bullets being fired. He soon ascends into the air and is about to join Hope, but before that he tells Parabelle to join Hope. He flies back to Roxas and assists him. Knowing that more and more will soon join, he grabs Roxas' arm and pulls him away. He lets go of Roxas, hoping that he will decide to join them, he begins to fly toward Hope, but shortly stops. From a far distance, he hears loud bang, and Scar feels a sharp pain in his left leg, a bullet has hit him. His vision starts to fade quicker and quicker, but must still fly away.

Hope felt an almost maternal sense of protection for a set of kids she hardly knew. She struggled to round the other six up and fly. "They're got guns! Let's go before someone gets shot!" She noticed the look of pain on Scar's face, and then found the bullet wound. "Too late," She murmured to herself. Hope waved him over. "Start flying that direction. I'll try and send everyone after you," Hope's eyes flitted around in a panic, and she pointed. "Come on, come on, come on!" She could hardly even stand to look at the Erasers. She had enough terrifying memories of them, and she didn't need anymore.

Roxas heard Hope's voice, and decided that it would be best to get Parabelle out of here. He saw Parabelle and grabbed onto the back of his shirt,and dragged him up near Hope. He gasped for breath, and let go of him. "Don't....run...off." Said Roxas. "You're...heavy..." He said, panting. He followed Hope away from the area.

Hope glanced around. Her brain felt muddled from panic, but it looked like everyone was safely in the sky. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Let's not do that again," She shook her head breathlessly. She'd never used her wings so much in her entire life, and the ache in them reflected that. "We're going to have to find somewhere to rest, though," She spotted a cliff in the distance, and collapsed on to it, exhausted. "Well I'm taking a break." She announced. "Let's all crash here for tonight and figure something out in the morning." She laid and stared up at the stars. By now, it was almost completely dark, and without the School's dark ceilings blocking her view, she could finally see them. "The stars are beautiful," Hope whispered.

Hakura saw where Hope has landed and followed. She nearly crashed face first into the dirt since her wings where aching. She moaned and looked up. Those are stars, right?, she thought, i remeber hearing about them. She held back tears, now knowing what would've happened if they were sent back. Hakura drifted off to sleep, not bothering to fold in her wings

As he landed on the cliff, Scar examined the bullet wound on his left leg. Luckily, it only grazed his leg. He took off his belt and ripped a part of his sleeve and fashioned a make shift bandage. With the dark sky and the full moon, he took off his glasses and gazed at the bright moon. He took a big sigh and finally went to sleep.

(Since I'm late into the story, I'll catch up.)

 

V landed with the rest of the group. His landing wasn't graceful. He found sand all over him, and it began to frustrate him. But the land looked amazing, expecially with the sun setting, casting a warm golden glow upon the world. He turned, realizing the group was heading into the city. The city was huge, shiny, and it scared V. But he still followed behind. They stopped sudenly, conversing. V sighed.

 

Suddenly, the girl named Hope yelled. Cars with large lights dorve up to them. Erasers came out. V gasped. A small fight broke out, regular cars trying to swerve away. V didn't know what he was doing, he lobbed his hand into a nearby shadow, launching what came out at the nearest Eraser. The Eraser disintegrated.

 

V was glad to run off with the group.

Luckly I had never been much of a fighter. So when Hope screamed I was just gald to leave I flew up without a second thought. Sighing I fellowed the group we seemed to have ecasped for now. We landed not to far from there. I step on the ground and tip over. I rub my nee. "OW."I say. I flip over and close my eyes."I going to sleep right here." I say yowning. I put my hand on my face and dirft off to sleep. "No more School." I mumble in my sleep.

Since it seemed Roxas failed with Parabelle, he sighed. He looked up and saw the stars. They shone radiantly,biting through the cold dark. Then, he felt pain all over. He fell and landed on top of a building, and his arms and legs hurt. He noticed bullet wounds. His arms and legs were suddenly immobile. "So...I was hit with their guns. I found it odd that it seemed I didn't get hit." His Lightning abilities had slowed down his wound pain so he would feel it later and its' effects. He sighed and tried to get moving again.

Hope couldn't help marveling at the serenity of it, but she had a feeling this wasn't going to last for long. Either way, anything was more beautiful than looking a dark grey ceiling for fourteen years. She sighed slightly, when she realized something new. There was a reason those Erasers had been so swift in locating her and the other hybrids. They may be the greatest recombinant lifeforms the lab had ever created--and which they often bragged about--but there was something more. Of course, now that they knew how, the whitecoats could easily recreate even more avain-humans. Yet they were still after her and the others. They weren't going to let this go easily. Hope glanced over towards Roxas. "Hey, you don't look so good. Are you okay?"

Scar wakes up to a very bright Sun, he puts his sunglasses on almost immediately. He checks out the graze from a bullet on his leg and sees that it has almost fully healed. He notices that Hope is up, and is next to Roxas. From what he can see, it appears that he has been shot several times. Worried that he might die from bleeding out, he tears his shirt into many pieces and applies them as make shift tourniquets. "I'll go into town and find a hospital and get medical supplies. Don't worry, they won't even hear me come and go" he said and begins to take flight. He stops and says "I'll pick up some food and water, maybe some clothes if I can."

"Yeah...I'll live." Roxas ignored the pain and got up. Blood seeped out of his wounds. He made a hand gesture and blue electricity seeped from his hand, put two fingers together and the rest down. He jabbed the two fingers into a bullet hole wound in his leg, and the electricity lurched over his skin, and the skin melded together, and Roxas took his fingers out. He tried making the electricity again, but failed. "Damn...I'm out of energy." He said with a sigh. At least he could walk around properly. He coughed, and put his sleeve to his mouth, and blood splattered on his sleeve. "Ah..don't worry. That happens every time I use the Wound Acceleration technique the school taught me.

V woke up from a horrible dream. It invovled him repeatedly murdering the Eraser with the orb of shadow. It scared him deeply. He looked around at the others, blinking in the sunlight. Some of them were bleeding, and V couldn't feel anything for responsible for this. Thats what the scientists had said back at the School. A mistake. He was the problem. A waste. He shook his head. I'm gone. I'm free. He thought.

Hope stared out over the open expanse. It was an odd combination of desert and prairie. Or maybe it wasn't odd--what basis did she have, anyway? Everything from this point on was guesswork. "Well, anyone have any idea what our next step might be? We can't stay here forever. I mean, the Erasers found us so fast that they could probably find us out here, too." She glanced around at the little assembly of bird-kids. It looked like pretty much everyone had managed to wake up by then. "When Scar gets back we should leave..." She murmured to herself, wishing she had a map or something. Sure, she might be able to tell you the name of the city, but she didn't have any idea where it was in relation to the rest of the world or the School. Hope felt quite angry right then. Why did things have to be so hard?

 

And for once, things didn't stay hard for long. The familiar sparkling white light engulfed her, though Hope knew no one else could see it. It was her "helpful" gift popping up again. The seven of them were happily spinning through the sky above a city. And it was one she recognized of all things. "The--The White House," She stammered as the vision decided to give her a lovely aerial view of the Capital city. The vision ended abruptly, and her eyes refocused on the kids sitting in front of her. "We've got to go to D.C. Or, I think we do."

"Ah, DC. Home of the president, and the Illuminati. I wonder what's in store for us there." said Roxas, obviously hiding his alleged pain. He spread his wings, and some feathers scattered around. "Ugh. They ruffled my feathers." said Roxas, stroking his wings so that they could fit back into place. He stretched his wings out as far as possible, and then folded them, and stretched them out again. He smiled, and jumped into the air and started doing a few aerial tricks.

I woke up shaking my head sleeply. I look over to V and then to the others. I could smell blood on the air. I flot into the air. I fly around in the air. "Free; I'm free!" I say happily. I fly over to V who looks like he's deep in thought. I land next to him and smile. "Hey." I greet clamly. I had always been to clam I thought to myself. I place the plam of my hand on Vs shoulder. I smile at him. He must have a lot on his mind I think.

"I'm gonna take a walk..." V edged away from the group. He decided to take a short walk, and went on his way.

 

He trekked through the desert. It was long, hot, and tedious. However, he came upon a small campsite. Footprints suggested the owners had recently left. V looked around it, with no intention of stealing. His eyes layed upon a book. He liked books, but he rarely got to read any at the School. The ones they forced him to were confusing.

 

V sat down, trying to read the book. This one was even more confusing. He tried reading left to right, but the story seemed odd. Almost backwards. he almost threw the book away. But instead, he tried reading it in the opposite direction. Finding the book much easier to read.

 

He came to like the characters. His favorite was a young hero by the name of Ventus. V smiled, the first time he had ever done so. Ventus. A nice name. A boy with a light heart, who fought for his friends, sacrificing his own self to destroy his Other. V quickly ripped out the page, running back to the group.

Scar returns to the city. He decides it's not safe to fly, so he will jump from roof to roof toward the hospital. Inside, he finds a lab coat and a pair of clean scrubs so he can disguise himself as a doctor. From one of his classes he took, he knew what things to looks for; bandages, pain medicine, and some surgical suture. He leaves the hospital the same way he entered and begins to look for food. He arrives at a store called "Wal-Mart", and wondering why they misspelled "wall". He first finds food and water, then go over to the clothing section and grabs enough shirts, pants, and jackets for the group. He grabs a pair of scissors so he can cut holes for his wings, and also a fire starting kit to cook some of the food. By using his Echolocation, he plans a safe way to exit the store without any notice. He gets a safe distance away from everything and begins ascending into the air. Although the added weight from the shopping cart slows him down, he has adapted to the weight and flies normally now. He returns to the group and lands the cart. Out of breath, he grabs one of the bottles and water and an apple and digs in.
