Everyone's world has been turned upside down. Plague and monsterious creatures have become the norm of this new world. Only the wealthy have the resources to protect themselves, they live within a walled city called Utopia. Every year they hold a contest, a fight to the death, to see if someone from the outside is worthy to live within the walls.

Weapon: A red-and-silver staff, the red being ribbon.

 

Bio: Cate's life wasn't exciting. Actually, it was quite the opposite. While she's never had the luxury of living inside the walls of Utopia, for the longest time, she didn't mind. She felt proud to be strong enough to survive outside. Growing up with two older sisters, life was automatically a bit easier. Her parents didn't mind unloading all of the chores on the oldest ones. When Cate was seventeen, her oldest sister, Trinity, became a mother at 25. Cate was close with her sister, and worried as Trinity did for her new nephew, a child Trinity had named Louis. When Louis became sick at 11 months, Cate was devastated. Trinity had the idea of entering the games to win him the right inside the walls, where he could be cured. Being a new mother, Trinity could not enter the games, and Cate's other sister had left town years ago. And, of course, by now her parents were too old. Cate volunteered to enter, for the sake of Louis and Trinity.

 

Reason for entering the games: To save her nephew, Louis.

Bio: A former soldier of the U.S army before deciding to retire early and disappear from the face of the world only to now reappear as a bounty hunter codenamed "Omni Trigger." because of the shotgun he allways carries with him for some strange and mysterious reason.

Reason for entering the games: Possibly to earn lots and lots of money, Other reasons remain unknown at this point.

Appearence: Bald, Rugged-Faced, Green Eyes, Silver Coat, Bare-Chested, Silver Slacks, Silver Socks, Silver Shoes and carries his Shotgun behind his back using a Shotgun holder.

One day, he found a katana. He took it, and trained for it. He volunteered to fight, and is determined not to die.

Blaise grabbed her brown leather sack and started to stuff it with supplies. She wandered around the two room house picking up her brother's toys and picking out things she thought she would need.

" Leave that alone Talon!" She scolded her brother.She quickly said goodbye to her family and walked out the door.

"Now where was it again." She mummbled walking towards the giant wall looming over all the houses. She found the small tent outside the wall that the contestents were to meet at.

" Huh, guess im the first one." She whispered sitting on the floor her sack next to her.

Haku said her final goodbyes to her family and carried her bag on her shoulder. I wonder what's in store for this contest, she thought. Few minutes later, she came up to this tent with a girl sitting infront of it. She must be a contestant too, she thought, walked over and plotted down on the ground. looks like i'll have to wait, she thought

"You don't have to do this, you know?" Zoe, David's little sister, said.

David finished packing his supplies and gave his little sister a smile.

"Now, how could I not give you a chance at a better life?" He said with a wink. "You need a chance for something better."

"But.." Zoe started to say, but stopped, a few tears coming down her face.

David walked over to her and kissed her lightly on the forehead.

"Hey, let me try to do this last thing for you." he said softly.

Zoey kept crying and just nodded. David hugged her. They held on to each other for a while. After a long time, they let go of each other. David grabbed his bag and left the broken down home, his eyes a little wet. He stopped and turned back to see Zoe waving at him from the door. He waved back and moved on.

Cate wasn't expecting a tearful goodbye from Trinity's husband, the loser who Trinity insisted escort her to the games. She kind of expected him to have brought party horns and confetti to cheer, in the hopes she'd never return. Why did sweet Trinity have to marry such a knucklehead? To keep herself from making any last furious remarks, she stayed silent the entire walk. The city was ten miles away, so for Trinity's husband, it'd be a twenty mile walk total. That wasn't scoring her any points with him, not that Cate cared.

 

The wall rose over her menacingly. Cate had been slightly nervous the night before, but Louis and Trinity had calmed her and made her feel like she had a real shot at winning. Now, with this game being a reality that was right before her eyes, Cate felt a sort of fear she'd never even imagined. Pure terror. She'd rather do anything but walk in there. There were tents outside, and she surmised they were for the contestants. Maybe some time to herself would help Cate relax.

 

"Bye, Whitless," She waved half-heartedly at Trinity's husband. His last name was Whitmore, and Cate loved to mess with it, just to piss him off.

 

"You better not come back, you little rat!" He snapped before marching back the way they'd come. Cate smiled a little. This game would be easy. All she had to do was imagine each of her opponents looked like him.

Blaise looked up as more contestants started to arrive at the tent. She wasn't sure wether to say something or leave them be. She figited uncomfortably there were now two other girls at the tent. She looked back down at her hands, wondering if she would either kill these girls with them, or at the hand of another. She shuddered and pushed the thought from her mind.

David walked for a ways before finding the registry tent to the Games. He stopped and looked up at it. He wished it was more of a sure bet he would win this, but he was still going to go through with it. He had to at least try, for Zoe's sake.

He took a deep breath and walked in. He looked around at the other people in the tent. He had hoped they would all be grizzled thugs that would sell their mothers for a chance for luxury. Not normal people.

Chase said solemny while carrying his bag upon his shoulders walking down a path following other contestants since he didn't know his way around.After walking for what seemed like a lifetime Chase finally reaches the tents where all contestants were assigned to meet.

Wonder how many of these people will i have to kill.

Chase said while looking at the wall that casted a shadow over all that stood beside it.

Blaise felt the light around her get darker and she looked up.

" Another contestant." She thought looking around the tent again. She was starting to get nervous about thenumber of people showing up.

" Is this really worth it?" She began to think, She scolded herself in her mind for thinking like that. Of course she had win.... she had to. The contestant infront of her looked determined, but there was something about him that bothered her.

Chase took his gaze from the wall and on to a girl who was stareing at him she seemed to be vexed by something.

Not even 5mins here and already i'm having daggers stared at me can't be helped i supose.

Chase walks toward the wall and sits down his back leaning on the wall.

 

(Shouldn't i be nervous its not like everyday i'm forced to kill my peers who all share the same dream of a peaceful existence but i'm not i'm more excited then scared is that weird am i a horrible person?)

Blaise watched the boy sit down.

" Why are there so many kids signing up for this?" She thought to herself looking around the tent. A ping of guilt struck her as she thought she may have to kill one of these kids. She looked back down at her feet. She wondered how many moer people had signed up for this. She sighed at leaned her head back against the tent wall.

Cate didn't feel like stepping inside the tent. She wasn't sure she really even wanted to meet her competitors. It'd probably be safer if she didn't, in the end. If she made friends, or even just talked to these people, it'd be that much harder when the games started. How could she cold-heartedly kill those people, after becoming friends with them? Cate, instead, sat down and leaned against the wall instead. There was so much on the other side that she wanted--no, she needed access to. "This is the only way," She sighed quietly to herself. "Don't think about it, don't think about it, don't think about it," She chanted softly to herself.
