KH3D Pinocchio world will be featured in Kingdom Hearts 3D

Update 3: Hari Lion and Yagi Horn are "Spirits", while Ice Penguin is a "Nightmare". Previously, it was announced that the Spirits are your allies, and the Nightmares are your enemies.

 

Previously, a Pinocchio world was announced to be included in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, called Prankster's Paradise. Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine included an article about the revelation. Now, thanks to FF-Reunion, we have even more scans of this article.

 

These extra scans reveal more about the other Disney world we know of in the game, "The City of Bells", based on The Hunchback of Notre-dame. Esméralda is shown next to Riku. Also, two new Dream Eaters are shown-- Ice Penguin and Hari Lion. The name of the ram-like Dream Eater is revealed to be Yagi Horn. You can see these scans below, in our gallery. Update 2: As you would have seen before, it was announced that a Pinocchio world will be included in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. This was announced via Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, and is also set to appear in the next Famitsu Weekly. We now have another high quality scan of the article, again thanks to FF-Reunion. Update: Thanks to Tgirl, we now have some translations of the text. It seems that the new area is called "Pranksters Paradise", and the text in the screenshot says "We're in a circus cabin inside the stomach of a huge whale."

 

Previously, it was announced that a new world appearing in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance would be announced in the upcoming issue of Famitsu Weekly magazine. However, the latest issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump has announced this world instead.

 

 

We now know that the new world will be... a world based on Pinocchio! Thanks to FF-Reunion, we now have a scan of the article in question. Here, you can see a render of Pinocchio, as well as screenshots of Jiminy Cricket on Riku's shoulders, and Jiminy Cricket with Pinocchio, who's trapped in a cell. Sounds cool. Although I'm a little disappointed, seeing as we've already had a Pinocchio world in Monstro. Even though this will technically be a new world, it'll have the same characters. So I think after promising all new Disney worlds Nomura is kinda bending the rules a little.

I love it. I don't care which world or character will be in there. Every character and world Nomura puts in the game is the right choice.

I wouldn't care to have Agrabah in the next 5 games as exampel as long as the story, adventure and setting is different.

I doubt it. Days was for the DS and Birth by Sleep for the PSP. Makes sense to have something from the DS for 3DS but not for something from the PSP for the 3DS.

What a shame! How many times have we seen Pinocchio in Kingdom Hearts? Three times already. There's more animations from Disney than Pinocchio.

Im a little disappointed because 1) I really don't like Pinocchio lol (creeps me out so much, that movie) and 2) We were already in Monstro.

 

However, we never visited the actual world. It's also one of the beloved classic Disney movies, so it makes sense its there. I think seeing as the graphic's will be on par to a PS2, and being in 3D, its going to look amazing! I bet its going to be a lot of fun and really colorful. Im looking forward to it!

This world looks cool. What I'm wondering is when and how Pinocchio and the world he lives in fell into the Realm of Sleep. And why is Pinocchio a puppet again? We saw him as a real boy in the credits of KH1. Maybe it has something to do with dreams and sleep and such.

 

I bet a Pocahontas world or a Lilo and Stitch world will be next up.

In KH1 we only met Pinocchio and Geppetto. This time around we're probably going to get to meet other characters from 'Pinocchio'.

Does it really have to "make sense" just to have a world from PSP go to the 3DS? that's kinda like saying that Beast's Castle from KH2 shouldn't be on Days just because it was on PS2. I think that the Jungle Book would have made a great world for KH3D. Besides, Jungle Book hasn't been used as a world yet.

thats cool i was hoping for a pinocchio to come up but i was expecting something else lol but im not dissapointed i always wanted to go to his world and the way hes in the cage i think it will be when hes at the circus part of the movie. I'm a bit disappointed to see a character that we've already seen since all the worlds are suppose to be new like a lot of you said but you know this looks better than what we got in kh1 bc that was pretty much just a friggen maze, this atleast deals some justice for the movie.
