That's why their are so many wars.

That's kind of cold, even for a joke. I mean, personally, I'm all for not giving pension health care to the elderly, so they'll die sooner or at least instituting a universal one-child policy. And I know that's cold and harsh of me, but war's a completely different thing.

I'm not saying I'd do that.

Neither am I. I'm just saying it's really harsh to even think and joke about that sort of thing. You're basically saying that the Government starts wars to eliminate human beings and maybe get some money out of it as well. In which case, all Governments are evil. It's really dark and harsh, that's all I'm saying. I never once said that you would do something like that.

I heard that on my A.P Human Geography class on November 1st. Also, for people who haven't read the article, I think my teacher told me that the 7 millionth baby was born India. I'm not entirely sure but I'm pretty sure.

Well I think that is why we have wars and I know it's a bit dark....but it's still true.

No. That is absolutely not why we have wars.

We have wars to settle disputes with other countries. We do it to show authority and to fight for our rights and country.

We do not, by any means, have wars to kill off other human beings.

No. No it's not.

Technically, this war has been going on since the Crusades. The Crusades were a group of religious battles between Muslims and the Catholic Church of the Byzantine Empire to take holy sites in Jerusalem. The very first Crusade took place in around the 11th century, I believe. That's about 10 centuries, honey. Get your facts straight.

Wars have been going on since the beginning of man. Do you honestly think that the government went around saying "LOL YOU GUYS MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE WARS TO KILL OFF OUR OWN PEOPLE"? No. The American Revolution, for example, took place around 1776. Only about 2.5 million people lived in America at this time. That's not a lot. Why would their government want their own people killed off when the population itself was so little?

And now, to say that the government wants to kill off young men and women for profit and population control... How f***ing dare you. I'm sorry, but you really need to read up on some History and have a long, hard think about what you're saying before you say it.

Edit: I'm getting an 100 in an Honors' College Prep World History and Politics class. Come at me, bro.

The reason there have been "too many wars" is because as long as people have differences, they will always be argued against. In most cases, it ends with a lot of bloodshed... It's very sad, but also very true.

People die defending their country, not because the government wanted them to die off.

It could be both...9/11.

Nope. It's just the evidence I supported.

Disregarding your 9/11 portion, as I don't want to get into an argument about a terrorist attack that was a tragedy for America. I've gotten into too many, so don't even start with me.

In a manner of speaking, she is right.

The major cause of wars today are for resources.

The more people a country has, the more resources they need and vice versa. Population is a HUGE factor in wars. Lets say India has a food shortage and the people of China are growing food all fine and dandy. Obviously India is going to need to screw China up unless they want to starve to death.

Oh and anyone with rudimentary knowledge of military history would very well know that there have been PLENTY of wars that were solely about killing each other. For example, the Axis' goal during World War II went from taking as much land as possible, to killing every person that didn't look like them. Believe it or not Germany wasn't the major perpetrator, people always seem to forget that Japan killed over 20 million people in Asia and the Pacific. 80% of them, civilians.
