You'd think it would look like a dark Ven more than anything else, but nope, BAM Sora with black hair + yellow eyes and a really evil personality. We never knew what Vanitas looked like at the beginning O and they're hearts didn't necessarily merge so to speak, Ven's just went inside Sora, and that was at the end of the game, when he lost his heart, Vanitas was created by Xehanort way before the events in the game because Ven would not let out the darkness inside him, so Xehanort used other methods to get said darkness, and he created Vanitas, and even because this was before the game took place, i think thats a bit more reason to think that Ven's heart did not join Sora's yet Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

As far as I'm aware Ven doesn't officially meet Sora until that. Although there's also http://kh13.com/videos/bbs/eng-cut/94/ But we aren't really sure who talks to Ventus in that scene... That changed Vanitas appearance Ok, but Vanitas was still seperated from Ven before that happened, it shouldnt have effected Vanitas, but o well, and yes, tho it does seem reasonable that it would be Sora in the beginning, there is no actual proof that its him. But we can assume it was i guess. Ventus light wasn't strong enough to sustain him-- though that is an interesting theory, it doesn't really "sound" like the way Sora would speak at the beginning, especially since he's only a kid and they later meet in one of the final scenes, but that might just be me... I know Vanitas was alive before Ven was under eraqus wing.It was the very beginning after Vanitas was made. Ventus couldnt survive so MX took him to Destiny Islands to die.
