Koko 3,944 Posted October 27, 2011 This right here ^ No one deserves to die. Everyone agrees killing someone is wrong, its murder. And just think, by giving someone a death sentence takes away their chance of changing and regretting what they've done as well. Then there's the falsely accused people too. The falsely accused and the mistakes that have been made are the only reason that I don't like RIGHT NOW If they changed somethings so it'd make it that no one innocent was convicted, I'd be like 'GO FOR IT'
Amon 4,279 Posted October 27, 2011 Regarding the whole "innocents being executed" I think a law should be implemented that people that have been sentenced to death should remain in jail for 5 years. This way those who are truly innocent have a fair amount of time for the truth to come out. The Death Penalty is necessary, some people never learn. Cultist and mass murderer Charles Manson was to get the death sentence but a week before his sentencing California outlawed the death sentence. He is now in jail for life and according to recent interviews "is happier than he has ever been". Why should people who took life away from others be given the opportunity to die in peace? 4 VENROXAS, Koko, waytothexdawnx and 1 other reacted to this
DragonMaster 1,166 Posted October 27, 2011 Just too add, what about the people who don't regret what they did? What about those people who feel they've won, who just don't care that they are in prison. What about the people who kill or whatever because they enjoy it? The people who, no matter how long they rot in prisons, don't feel sorry? The people who would do whatever it is they did again, because they could. If there was some psychopath who killed multiple small children, then admitted guilt and laughed, and sat happily in prison, what then? Sorry to say, there are people like this, and just chucking them in prison is not punishment to them, it is the indisputable proof that they have won. 2 waytothexdawnx and Kaiso reacted to this

Papou* 1 Posted October 28, 2011 I do understand why so many people are in favor of death penalty. But I, myself, isn't. I'm not religious or anything, but deciding who should be allowed to live or die is just not something that should be left to man. Killing someone isn't going to bring the victim(s) back, it won't do any good. I actually read an article just the other day about a man whose daughter had been killed in a bombing a while ago, an incident which broke him down and all he could feel was hatred towards the one who had planted the bomb. But even though the criminal was sentenced to death, he felt no peace or satisfaction. I don't think these kind of actions can ever bring peace to society no matter what the sentenced criminal might've done. Besides, countries with death penalty as punishment often has really high crime rates anyway, and often innocent people are being killed off as well. Death should never be used if avoiding it is possible. That's what I think. 1 aubreyloveskh reacted to this
XIIISwords 1,059 Posted November 3, 2011 Read this and tell me if you don't think these murders should die. http://en.wikipedia....nvasion_murders It's pathetic that even on death row, people still get 12 years to live. Why are are tax dollars keeping a dead man alive? 1 Koko reacted to this
Wyrlor1494 15 Posted November 6, 2011 I agree with the death penalty for certain crimes It not only set an example for others, but also saves a ton of money. If death penalties were done like they used to, we wouldn't need to support a known criminal, as in they were convicted and sentenced to multiple life sentences, for the rest of his life in jail. It is immensely expensive to do so Either way he isn't getting out, and they are just postponing the inevitable. Although there is the argument about the innocent, but in reality, this would be a far minority. It is really sad, I will admit, but if there is enough evidence to convict someone of a crime harsh enough to give them the death penalty, the prosecution will have to be able to prove without doubt, that the defendant did this. This could lead to corruption, but so will the reverse So overall, I support capital punishment for certain crimes 2 Koko and Kishira reacted to this
Weedanort 8,786 Posted November 6, 2011 Here we don't have Death Penalty since the medieval times, but in some cases I agree.
Kishira 2,854 Posted November 6, 2011 I'm kinda in the middle when it comes to this issue, but I tend to lean a little more toward pro-death penalty. If someone f***ed up horribly enough, then yea.
Papou* 1 Posted November 6, 2011 It really gets to me that so many here talks about other's lifes as if they were nothing; "It's expensive to let criminals live, so we should kill them off", is what many seem to think. Honestly. It may be criminals, but it's still HUMAN LIFE. And even if the innocents being sentenced aren't many, it's irreplaceble life and such risks should never be taken. That's not justice at all.

That's not justice at all. If we let them live there's always the possibility of them escaping and killing others. Yes that's stretching it, but it's a possibility. And also, honestly, these murders, these rapists, these criminals, think of human life as nothing if they're able to commit such crimes. They harmed another as if it was nothing. I don't always agree with the whole 'eye for an eye' but sometimes it's just necessary. And like everyone says, it's wasting tax dollars on these criminals, when we're already in an economic crisis. It would help out and set an example Like, I don't believe it should be enforced at the moment (the Death Penalty that is), because we make to many mistakes. But if we can figure out a way to make sure no innocent man is sentenced to death row, then that is when we should enforce it.
Papou* 1 Posted November 7, 2011 Well, I see your point. But I don't think just because some criminals don't think highly of human life and treats their victims however they want, it doesn't mean that the people following the law, the people passing judgement on them, should act the same way. That's not justice in my eyes. Just kind of... childish. Of course I think that criminals should be punished in a way so they don't be a danger to society, but murdering is never right. Amon 4,279 Posted November 7, 2011 Honestly. It may be criminals, but it's still HUMAN LIFE. These murderers are not human. They display every aspect that humanity frowns upon. My family has survived the Bolshevik Revolution, the Holocaust, and the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines. I can tell you a few stories that my grandparents told me. They will make you realize that even if people are physically human, they have no human qualities. 1 Koko reacted to this
