Echo was nervously bouncing in her seat. The teacher was a big man who spoke with a booming voice.

" Why am i here?" She wondered. Echo wanted to go back home, now. She wondered about the other two boys that were there. Were they new also? There were about five minutes to class and she hadn't seen either of them.

Jesse walked out of the office, and went to the main office.

"Excuse me, I need my schedule"

"Name?"

"Jesse."

"Hmm. Jesse. Ah. I'll print it."

The lady did a few clicks and the printer started whirring.

Out came a warm slip of paper that had Jesse's classes, time, room number and teacher.

He looked at the clock. "Guess I'm in second hour...teacher...Shigure Yamata."

He walked over to Room 167 and saw everyone there.

He walked over to his desk, and saw Koukai sitting in the second seat of his row.

-Tch. Him again. Well, maybe he won't make a scene in class around the NPC's.-

Koukai watched as NPC's and the rest of the players file into the class He saw jesse barely make it to class as jesse entered he glanced at Koukai.

...........Koukai stared at the black board with an expressionless face.

As the bell rung signaling the start of class Mr.Yamata began his lesson plan asking the class basic questions.

Bio: Tidus was a young boy trying to survive through poverty.

Weapons they expertise in: Swords and assault rifles

 

Does your character suffer from memory loss or amnesia: Same condition as Jesse

Bio: Was killed when a mugger killed his sister and friends and then went after him. His memory condition was self induced

After the class, lunch came and Jesse went outside. He saw that a person his age was out there. -Another player...?- he thought to himself. He kneeled next to the person and shook him. His eyes opened slowly. "Hey, whats you name?" asked Jesse, helping him up. "Ti...dus...?Yeah...Tidus." Jesse saw a newspaper in Tidus's hand."Could I...see that newspaper?" Tidus looked at his hand, and said, "Oh, yeah. Sure." He read the newspaper.

 

9/11 incident kills many, in more ways than bombing.

School student Jesse Hardy was found dead after the 9/11 bombing.

He had many injuries to the head, from a blunt object. Police say that

he was beaten to death by another student. Police found the murder

weapon and checked it for fingerprints. The identification of the boy

is Miguel Leiva, 2nd best high school >>More on page A5.

Koukai monitered the hallways and helped answer any questions anyone might have had.

Lunch time....

Koukai enters the lunch room and scans the area.....he is not here scaning......there he is.

Koukai walks out the lunch room and sees Jesse with another student.

Skipping lunch isn't good for you i would suggest you two go eat.

Koukai said coldly.

Jesse's head hurt with a flash back

Flashback:

"We're going to go on a field trip!"

The teacher said happily.

Everyone groaned.

"We're going now."

Everybody exclaimed excitedly, and people went outside and filed into the bus.

When they arrived at the Twin Towers, everyone went to go look for something to eat,

while Jesse entered one of the towers. He took an elevator to the 37th floor.

An elevator beside the one he came from dinged.

Flashback end

"...I would suggest you two go eat."

Jesse heard a voice say, and his head stopped hurting.

"Oh, hey, Koukai. Sorry, I was just waking him up. He dozed off out here, So I was bringing him in. C'mon, Tidus." he said, following Koukai in.

Falling asleep on the school grounds is not acceptable behavior please be aware of that in the future.

Koukai lectured as he escorted the two to lunch.

Tidus sat over in the back table, reading a book.

Jesse got some Mabou Tofu and wolfed it down, but he had no idea it was that hot.

His mouth exploded, and he passed out from the pain on his tongue.

A few people laughed at him.

Echo ate quietly she didn't want to get into anyone's way. The two boys from earlier seemed to be doing fine, but lately she was having doubts about whether this place was safe or not. Also Koukai seemed to be very interested in the boys, she wondered why. She finished eating and looked at her schedule it looked like any other school schedule but something just wasn't right to her.

Jesse regained consciousness, his head laying in puddle of his own drool. -Man that stuff is hot.- He looked around the lunchroom. Everybody was gone, and the clock said 3:23. -Oh, good. School's over.- He went up to the principal's office, went in, and laid back on the recliner chair. "God... this is all happening so fast." He had a look at the newspaper and continued to have his flashback.

Flashback:

The elevator opened to reveal none other than Miguel, holding a golf club. Miguel slowly walked towards him, his golf club at the ready.

Jesse took a few steps back, and Miguel swung at him, missing him by an inch. He turned around and ran down the hallway, and Miguel started running too. Jesse stumbled, but kept running. He went over to the stairs, and then slipped and fell down a flight. His head his the wall, and his vision wavered. He quickly got up and ran down to the 36th floor. He ran over to the window and shouted for help, but nobody heard him, He felt something very hard whack him in the back of his head. He felt the back of his head, and felt blood. He started running again, but it was no use. He saw stars and his vision was going black. Then, a plane crashed in the side of the tower, and Miguel took the distraction to hit him in the head. He saw even more stars, and was slowly losing consciousness. He scrambled to get up and held the window sill for support, and Miguel hit him in the side of the head, sending him flying out the window. The last thing he saw was the sky. Everlasting and beautiful, he truly saw it for the first time, and felt drawn to it, but he was falling, and he hit the cement, saw the smoke haze his beautiful sky, and closed his eyes, hoping to get his long needed rest.

Flashback end

Paul had gone through class and lunch, not talking to any one. This place confused him. Why was he here? Anger welled inside Paul and threatened to come out, but he forced it down. He didn't want to snap on someone. Maybe if he made some friends.

"Get real." Paul told himself. "You couldn't talk to any of these people. You are too much of a coward."

Echo was on her way to her next class racing down the hallway. Suddenly she ran into someone and dropped all of her things. " Oh my goodness I'm so sorry." She said quickly, she bent down to get her things and bumped her forehead on his leg. " Ouch!." She cried rubbing her head.

Paul turned white as he too leaned down to help Echo.

"I'm sorry." He said quickly.

As he bent down, his head ran into Echo's. He tries to move back, but ends up falling on his rear.

"I am so so sorry." He said, his voice quivering.

Paul tried to help Echo pick up her stuff again.

Jesse opened his eyes, and teared up at what he had seen. "Life...is just so goddamn unfair. You work through all of it, and then you just...die?" He wiped his eyes, sighed, recomposed himself, and got up. "Now what... Oh...yeah.. I'm going to ask Tidus where he got this." he walked out, and saw that Paul was helping a strange person he hadn't seen before. -A player?- He walked over to them. "Let me help." Jesse said, as he picked up a few books.

Echo laughed and rubbed her head. " Its nothing." She said cheerfully gathering her things. She stood up and smiled.

" Your the two boys from earlier today!" She finally realized. She held out her hand to help Paul up.

" I'm Echo."

Paul hesitated a moment, then took Echo's hand.

"I'm Paul." He said a little too fast.

He stood up, not putting any weight on Echo.

"Again, I'm really sorry."

Paul glanced over at Jesse and looked like he found the prefect out for an embarrassing situation.

"Oh, this is Jesse. I met him earlier today."

"I'm Jesse" Jesse said, pounding his fist on his chest. He didn't know how to act around a girl, since he had never really had a girfriend or many friends that were girls. He gave her her books and smiled at her.

She looked at Jesse with an odd expression. " Uh hi." She took her books and bowed slightly. She turned back to Paul " Its ok, it was my fault." She smiled at him again. " So are you two new here as well?" She asked.

"Yeah." said Jesse smiling. "We just really appeared here. I'm willing to bet we're all here because we died, and this is our afterlife." said Jesse,thinking to himself sarcastically, -Duh,they would already know that.-

Paul nodded.

"I just got here today." Paul answered.

Paul glanced around, looking if someone was watching.

"I'm not sure why I'm here. Shouldn't this be, ya know, more...fire or cloud like than this?"

Echo's eyes widened. " I'm dead?!" She shrieked and dropped her books again. " I can't be dead, i dont remember being dead!"She looked at Jesse waiting for him to tell her it was just a joke. She saw nothing that looked like it was a joke on his face. She fell to the ground holding her face in her hands.
