KH3D For people who absolutely hate my Sora dakrness theory...

Recommended Posts

Alright, for anyone who hasn't read my theory:

"Darkness Becomes Light, Light Falls Into Darkness"

In KH:DDD, I honestly think that refers to Riku, during his MoM exam/journey, will finally rid of his darkness and Sora might pick up some of his own or maybe he already has a dark form out there already?

I know Sora is the poster child of innocence and cuteness and rainbows in KH, so many people hate my theory.

But think this: Ventus was PURE light. But, Vanitas was created by the darkness in his heart. Sora is PURE light.

So I'm thinking maybe there's already a dark part of Sora somewhere. Maybe it was created when Sora stabbed himself with his keyblade to save Kairi? Because Ventus' dark part (Vanitas) came out of him when Xehanort stabbed him.

I don't know. I'm still thinking about it though.

I've also been thinking about Kairi's part. We saw her Nobody, Namine. Where's her heartless?

Also, when you see the history of the game, they're all paired up in 3's. Aqua, Terra, Ventus. Roxas, Axel, Xion... Sora, Riku, finally Kairi in KH3? Or it could just be King Mickey, but I doubt it. Mickey usully works alone.

Anyway, my head hurts lol I've been talking to my friend AJ about this for a while today. We've been coming up with so many different theories. But this one is my favorite because, even though Sora is rainbows and happiness, I still think he could use some darkness. He'll rid of it eventually too, so it's not a big deal. We all know he'll ALWAYS be the hero of the story.

I also think there's more to Riku's story when he was in the RoD, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I just know something happened in there. More than Riku just helping out Sora with a picture and ice cream in a box. I wish Nomura would make an ALL Riku game about his story because I know it's gotta be awesome.

Feel free to bash me/argue about it/insult/discuss.. the usual lol :)

Isn't Ventus in Castle Oblivion? In the room Axel was trying to find for Saix? Or Xemnas.. whoever lol

Xion found that room, didn't she? She never said anything about seeing Ventus?..

I wish Nomura would stop mindraping people and just release the games so my head wouldn't hurt so much lol

But think this: Ventus was PURE light. But, Vanitas was created by the darkness in his heart. Sora is PURE light.

I liked your theory, but I didn't like this part I quoted. We can't say Sora is pure light, 'cause he got his own heart and we don't know if his heart is pure light, but Ven's is.

True, Sora may not be full of complete pure light, but it can be deducted that he is mostly if not all of pure light.

Sora is not pure light, neither was Ven at first. Vanitas wasn't the darkness created by his heart, he was the darkness EXTRACTED from his heart, making Ven have a heart of pure light and Vanitas a heart of pure darkness. Sora has darkness in his heart, though only a little, which is why his Heartless was a measly shadow. The only ones who have a heart of pure light are the Princesses of Heart. I don't think it's that people hate your theory, but that it just doesn't make enough sense and most likely would never happen. Sora would never give into the darkness, as he's proven time and time again. And Riku uses his darkness well, so I can't see him getting rid of it anytime soon.

i dont hate your theory i for one would like it if sora fell into darkness momentaraly and you take control of riku or someone to fight him a couple of times and than sora goes through this whole depressed stage than gets re-encouragement from his friends and such. but as we all know thats probably not going to happen. your theory is good its just that Kairi is a Princess of Heart she has a heart of pure light so she cant make a heartless and the only reason namine was made was because of sora. and sora isnt pure light he has darkness in him everyone does besides the Princesses and as azure said ventus did have darkness in his heart untill Master Xahnort extracted the darkness in ventus heart to make vanitas. all in all i do like the theory of sora falling into darknes but like not for a whole game just like one or two boss fights in the same game :)

You are right about that. But then maybe that means Sora can have darkness extracted from his heart as well... I really cant see why the tagline would be "Darkness Becomes Light, Light Falls Into Darkness" would come from then? It's gotta be about Sora somehow... It's Sora and Riku's game. It's their MoM exam. It cant be about Riku because he already has darkness..

This tagline is really getting to me because my gut is telling me, it has to do for Sora. And I want to see Sora with some darkness!! lol He'd be awesome. Well, he already is but it would be cool to see Sora with a little bit.

Dude, Ventus was "pure light" due to the fact that his darkness was forcably removed from his body. Vanitas was able to take over him so easily because Vanitas IS Ventus. It wasnt a matter of corrupting Ventus, but simply returning the darkness that was already his to him. Sora on the other hand does not have that darkness. He impaled himself in KH1 in a selfless act to save a friend, with a keyblade specifically designed to unlock peoples hearts. The Keyblade of People's Hearts is not a normal keyblade. I know you want to see an evil Sora, but the closest you are gonna get is the return of Vanitas.

Xehanort is back and far more powerful than ever before. He is going to easily conquer the worlds that were more resilient in the past. Light falls into Darkness. What is the most "Light" location you can possibly think of in this series. The one world that stood as an unconquerable fortress. Disney Castle, "The Cornerstone of Light". Xehanort is going to plunge Disney castle into darkness while Sora and Riku are undergoing their test.

I've always wondered how Aqua's heart stands. She was a backup plan to form the X-Blade, in which she'd need a heart of pure Light. So maybe it's possible, though rare, that normal people CAN have hearts of pure Light? Unless she's an alternate PoH if one dies. LOL.

And, I know you're right and that Sora has Darkness in his Heart, but sometimes I like to believe he doesn't. Everyone's always going on about how his heart can touch so many people, no research ever done was as interesting as Sora's heart, that Sora will never let the Darkness get to him. And so on and so forth. And yes, these are supposed to be quotes from the game. I just didn't want to waste time figuring out the exact wording. If you have questions about some of the quotes, feel free to ask.

Anyway, if it is possible to have pure Light when you're not a Princess, I wonder if you'd still create a Heartless? Maybe it's just because the Princesses are specially chosen (and have pure Light) that they can't. That would definitely make it seem like Sora's pure Light.

But, once again, I know you're right. But if Sora does have Darkness, I wish they'd stop acting like he's the Mesiah in the games.

While I actually do think this will happen eventually, I don't think it'll be in 3D. First off, it would go against Data Riku reassuring Data Sora that, "The Darkness will never take hold of you." (This is a summarized version of what he said.) So it may happen eventually, but not so shortly after he said that.

And also, I don't think there's enough time in the game. They're already taking the Mark of Mastery/traversing through the Realm of Sleep in search of the Key and Keyhole, and they're also going to be looking for the hidden data inside Sora.

And in KH3, they'll be too busy saving people and trying to defeat Xehanort. Maybe they could fit it in somewhere, but it would seem like unnecessary filler to me. Unless Xehanort possesses Sora or something.

Somewhat off topic, I'd LOVE to see that. Sora and Xehanort are so similar, but yet also so different. They have the whole Harry and Voldermort thing going on. Even their names are similar! "Sora" and "Harry" have about the same number of letters. And "Xehanort" and "Voldermort" both obviously end in "nort:. LOL. And they're both actually bald. LOL.

But they really are a lot alike! Both Keyblade wielders, both can use magic, both originally from Destiny Islands, both willingly became Heartless, and both have had two other people's hearts inside them. The list goes on and on. LOL.

But they're also so differnet because Xehanort is pretty much pure evil, and Sora (a lot of times) is like Light incarnate.

And you know, Xehanort did indirectly make Sora a Keyblade wielder. If he had never extracted Ven's Darkness, his damaged heart would have never needed to go to Sora. It's like how Voldermort unwillingly (and unkowingly) turned Harry into a horcrux! They created their own worst enemies.

Yep. Sora and Xehanort are Harry and Voldermort of KH. They even have Dream Eaters in 3D instead of Death Eaters!

Okay, now I'm staring to rethink my stance. LOL. Maybe Sora will go bad in seeing how alike they are. I'm forseeing an Order of the Phoenix thing happening where Mickey's like, "Sora, it's not how you're alike. It's how you're different."

And Sora will tell Xehanort, "You're the weak one. You'll never know love or friendship, and I feel sorry for you."

And I'm done. LOL.

I think Vanitas was just taunting her when he said that. She doesn't have a heart of pure light.

Really? I thought Nomura said she was "Plan B." For awhile, that was the only important thing going on in her story. I don't think he was taunting her. He actually mumbled that part, but I could be wrong.

"Darkness will become light, Light will fall into darkness"

If in fact this line were to refer to characters in the series, then this is a more likely scenario. I just thought of this idea so forgive me for not having put as much research into it as my other theories. I may look deeper into it as time goes on.

Darkness will become Light:

If you read my other theory (Xehanort's Grand Scheme), I stated that Xehanort and Terra are now separated due to Xehanort's splitting himself. As a result of this Terra's conciousness is left floating around without a home. Sooner or later he will regain a new body, by whatever means Nomura sees fit.

If you have played Terra's story you can tell how much he hates his darkness. Xehanort used Terra's darkness to gain control of his body, but as you can see throughout the final chapter, Terra radiates with a light far brighter than anything else seen in that game. He also helps Aqua in her battle against Final Terranort.

My guess is that when Terra gains a solid form again he is going to be a Juggernaut of Light-Infused Power. What role he will play in KH3D I can't say because there isnt enough information to form a theory. My guess is he will most likely "Reform" at the end of the game.

In Contrast

Light will fall into Darkness:

Something that was stated a few minutes ago on this thread snapped this thought into my head. Aqua. Aqua was by far the most rediculously broken playable character in the series so far. Which is saying something, because I have played as Mickey. Ventus' battles with Vanitas were nightmareish. Yet every time she battled him she beat Vanitas soundly into the ground with little effort.

Vanitas spoke of Aqua as an alternative route for forging the Kye-Blade. She has been a resounding, unmovable force of light since she was introduced, and thus far is the only playable character to assume the mantle of Master.

Now I know a few people are thinking "But Rob, you are constantly preaching about Sora being unable to fall to the darkness because he is so strong in the light. What makes Aqua any different?" The answer is simple. One word, turmoil. When Sora sees his friends in danger, or sees a world fall to darkness his mind has one thought. "Charge forward and beat the badguy in the head with my shiny key until the darkness stops and I get friends back." Aqua on the other hand dwells on it. She worries about their safety, mourns the loss of a world and doubts her own power to stop the spread of darkness.

At the end of the game Aqua manages to stop Terranort and send him back to Radiant Garden as she fades slowly into the Realm of Darkness. The game ends with her nearly giving up as she wanders the darkness, she is narrowly saved by a thought of her friends, and pushes forward in an attempt to find her way home. Over 10 years have passed since that day. 10 years of wandering in darkness, her only company, the heartless who live within the realm. I suspect Aqua, by now or during the events of KH3D, will have fallen into Darkness, and most likely gained considerable ability over its use.

Gamers have seen this scenario before with the Queen of Blades herself Sarah Kerrigan. I wont go into the details of the Starcraft storyline as I am sure most people are familiar with it. But Kerrigan was left to rot on a world overrun by Zerg. A short time later she returned commanding the Swarm herself.

Should this theory prove true, then Aqua will not only fall do darkness. But she is more than likely the final boss of Birth by Sleep Volume 2.

I think the memories of pain will break Sora, and he will become evil as a way to deal with the pain.

and then, in KH3, Riku will be the main character, which is the reference to darkness becoming light.

What about that heartlesa that riku made out of him in neverland and anti form

It wasn't a Heartless, it was basically just Sora's shadow brought to life. And Anti from is the result of Sora's time as a Heartless in KH1.

The Anti-form is a malfunction of clothes given to him by the good faeries.
