Chapter Eight: New Friend

Ven slowly opened the door that Terra told him to wait in. Room didn’t seem very big, but it had a lot of other things inside. Like bookshelves, piles of papers and folders, boxes, table with chair and a giant bed. On it was kid around Ven’s age who was reading a book. Something about this kid was a bit off duo to his silver hair and staring eyes.

Ven: Hi… I’m Ventus… Ven for short… Terra told me to wait here… until he finishes something.

Ienzo: *stares, doesn’t say a thing*

Ven: What’s your name?

Ienzo: *still stares*

Ven: Hey! *loudly* Can you hear me?!

Ienzo:*even more stares*

Ven: *tries to improvise* What’s your name?

While he was trying to improvise, he tripped on the box and loudly fell on the ground. In that moment kid burst out laughing.

Ven: *trying to get up* Hey! What’s so funny?

Ienzo: Your improvisation!

They both started laughing even more.

Ienzo: I’m Ienzo by the way. Sorry if I didn’t tell you that before you fell on the ground.

Ven: Nah, it’s ok. I was afraid that you were deaf.

Ienzo: I usually get very shy if I meet someone new. Uncle Even always bring those tall scary guys here.

Ven: Why didn’t you tell me in a first place? Do I look like a tall scary guy?

Ienzo: *smiles* Of course not! I just didn’t know what to say, since I haven’t met any guys around my age.

Ven: You did now!

Ienzo: So, what are you doing here? Did you come here to study?

Ven: Well… I really wanted to see that lab… and Terra said he’ll show it to me.

Ienzo: You know Terra?

Ven: Yeah, he’s a good friend of my uncle. I’m staying at his place.

Of course that was a lie. Terra told him that he needs to pretend that he’s a nephew of Terra’s friend.

Ienzo: Why’s that?

Ven: My uncle is always busy and about a week ago I got this fever. He asked Terra if he could look after me.

Ienzo: *sees plasters on his face and arms* Wow, what were you doing to get all those cuts?

Ven: Oh, I… fell down the… stairs. *sadly* I wasn’t careful enough.

Ienzo: Don’t feel bad about it. Sometimes, even I get all sorts of those things.

Ven: Yeah, you’re right… hey do you know what Christmas is?

Ienzo: *surprised* You don’t know? It’s the best day in a whole year!

Ven: We don’t have it… where I live… Can you at least tell what it is?

Ienzo: Well, it’s like a celebration, when we all show how much we care for each other. Usually we put the presents for the ones we love, under the Christmas tree and open them on a Christmas day.

Ven: Wow! Will that be soon?

Ienzo: Yeah! Just 5 more weeks and it will come! How come you don’t have it?

Ven: Guess everybody is busy where I live…

Actually angels did celebrate Christmas every year, except they call it Calm Day. On that day everyone give presents to the ones they cared about the most. None was allowed to argue or show the loveless on that day. And they didn’t have a snow in Heaven.

Ven’s thinking was broken by Even who came into the room.

Even: So, you want to see the lab? Follow me!

Ven: *stands still, shaking*

Even: Hey, what’s wrong?

Ven: *still shaking*

Terra: *comes* It’s ok Ven, come with me.

Ven: *says goodbye to Ienzo* It was nice to meet you, Ienzo.

Ienzo: Yeah! It was nice to meet you too, Ven. Will you come back tomorrow? I have so much to tell you.

Ven: I’ll ask Terra. Bye!

Ienzo: Bye Ven.

Ven followed Terra and Even to the one room in the other part of the building. Lab was very big duo to the all equipment that was inside. Tables with weird machines, objects and potions were endless. Ven was truly amazed by it.

Ven: Wow, it’s so big! *walks around it, looking at weird things*

Even: *boastfully* It’s amazing, isn’t it?

Ven: *gets startled by him, nodding frightened*

While Ven walked, he didn’t notice that his coat got stuck onto the one of the tables. Coat was slowly slipping from him, almost showing his two wings…

Terra noticed that in time and threw one of the potions on the ground. Potion caused a smoke so Even couldn’t see Ven’s wings. Terra quickly ran to him and fixed his coat.

Ven: *coughs duo to the smoke* What’s… that?

Even: One of the potions probably fell on the ground.

Terra: I think we better go home. Ven isn’t used to that smoke.

Even: Ok, see you tomorrow.

Terra: Bye.

When they got out Ven was still coughing.

Terra: That was a close one. Sorry about the smoke.

Ven: It’s… *coughs* ok.

Terra: I can’t let Even see you as an angel. It probably won’t turn out good.

They both came to the house. Terra unlocked the door, when Ven suddenly collapsed.

Terra: Ven! What’s wrong? *puts hand on his forehead, but quickly removes it* Oh, no! The temperature is back!

He quickly took him into his hands and carried him into the house.

Terra: I knew it I shouldn’t take you with me… you were almost healed, but now you have fever again… That wouldn’t happen if you had stayed home.

 

 

PS: Sorry, but I'm afraid I won't post anything for a while. I'll have a very busy month, so don't expect next chapter for this or other story soon.

Before I start, I'd like to say happy birthday to my writer - friend Nisie. Happy Birtday Nisie, for 18 years!!! Yeah!!! Hope you'll enjoy for this new chapter of your favourite story - Ven - The Fallen Angel. I used 1 and half hour to write it today, phew... But this chapter might be a little shocky, cuz it contains some hard violence and maybe strong language. Well, hope you'll enjoy.

 

Chapter Nine: Unexpected Face – Off

Braig still haven’t found any trace of his target. He visited many worlds, but still no sigh of young angel. On his way to Xeahnort’s secret hideout, something passed his way. He quietly hid in the darkness to see another angel. It wasn’t a blackwinged like him, but a whitewinged Guardian angel.

Braig: Well, well… looks like bluebird decided to join the party!

With those words he discharged bunch of his metal feathers, right into her. Aqua luckily noticed dark presence and dodged in time. Metal feathers almost hit her right wing. She used Shield spell and flew closer to the darkness.

Aqua: Show yourself! Why did you attack me?

Braig: *smiles* Isn’t it obvious? You’re light and I’m darkness. We don’t belong together. We can only be enemies.

Aqua: *angrily* Just what do you think you’re saying! Blackwinged and whitewinged angels should live in harmony, not in hatred.

Braig: Well, that’s true, but I’m different.

He hit her as soon as he finished the sentence. Aqua shrieked with surprise and quickly dodged away.

Braig: And you shouldn’t enter Lanes Between. That’s our world!

Aqua: I was sent here on mission!

Braig: Oh really? What kind of mission?

In that moment Braig flew from the darkness and Aqua now could fully see him. His scary yellow eyes, untidy black hair and huge black wings, made from metal. As she looked on the wings, she reminded where she saw them once. In Sora’s and Riku’s wing! That guy hurt her wards!

Aqua: None of your concern! Speaking of which, you shouldn’t enter our world either!

Braig: Who say I did?

Aqua: You hurt Sora and Riku!

Braig: Oh, you mean cry baby and cold dude? They were just in my way.

Aqua: *angrily* Shut up! You don’t even imagine what kind of pain you caused them. They were only four and five years old!

Braig: I would like to chat, but I’m in kinda hurry. Could we just pass by and fight some other time?

Aqua was so angry that she immediately cast fire spell straight at him. Braig only cover himself into his own wings and made some kind of shield.

Braig: That really all what you got?

Aqua: Shut up! *casts a lot of fire and blizzard spells*

Braig: *lazily dodges* You don’t have a power to fight. You’re just a Guardian who spent the whole time playing with kiddies. Star Keepers posses much greater power.

Aqua: That’s not true! We’re teaching them, to become Star Keepers or Guardians. That’s their choice and they get equal power for both.

Braig: Believe whatever you want. I’m still not done with you.

Blackwinged raised one of his metal wings and roughly hit Aqua’s hand. In the moment metal wing touched her arm, it was covered by blood. Aqua screamed from the pain when Braig only laughed.

Braig: Are you gonna fight or we’re just gonna dance.

Aqua: *out of breath* I’m not done with you yet! *cast a powerful light spell*

Braig: *surprised* What the… ahhh!

Light was his weakness. His eyes and body were meant for darkness, not light. Bright light from Aqua’s spell caused him to move away a bit.

Aqua: Now tell me you freak, why did you hurt Sora and Riku? *holds his coat* Answer me! *prepares for another light spell*

Braig: Alright, calm down birdie! My master told me to.

Aqua: Why? Why would someone hurt innocent whitewinged angels?

Braig: *smiles* Don’t ask me, I’m only sticking to his awesome plan. *flies away*

Aqua: Hey wait!

She tried to stop him, but he only casted a fire spell what started a fight again. They both fight equally until Braig started babbling again.

Braig: You didn’t tell me what kind of mission are you on.

Aqua: Mind your own business!

Braig: Why should I? I can help you. Are you looking for somebody by any chance?

Aqua: Would you just shut up!

Braig: I’m looking for somebody too, why don’t we join forces?

Aqua: I’m not teaming up a with kid hurting freak!

Braig: But I’m looking for someone named Ventus. Do you know him? Maybe will nickname Ven bring more bells.

When he mentioned Ven’s name, Aqua’s world stopped. Does he know where Ven is? Is he a good blackwinged? No way he could know his name?

Aqua: Why are you looking for him?

Braig: You really wanna know? *grabs her collar* Then I’ll tell you. Me and my evil friend need a victim for out experiment. Your little ward was a perfect one, unlike those two losers. But he got away and my master’s gonna kill me if I don’t find him.

Aqua: *shocked* Why are you telling me all this?

Braig: Cuz you won’t survive to tell that to anyone else.

He roughly hit her with both of his metal wings, when her shield was usless against his two metal wings. She tried to run away, but one of the wings was too injured to fly fast, plus her arm was bleeding like a worst nightmare. Braig easily outmatched her, by discharging his feathers right into her. Aqua covered herself into wings and prepared for pain. She was too weak to fight against him. After a flood of arrow like feathers hit her, she collapsed and slowly fell into unknown world. Braig watched that with smile.

Braig: Bye, bye birdie.

 

Ven screamed when he woke up from his nightmare. He was very scared about it, when he realized that wasn’t a nightmare. It was a vision from Aqua’s star.

Ven: No… *cries* Aqua…

Terra heard Ven’s cry and quickly went to him.

Terra: What’s wrong?

Ven: *still cries* Aqua… she’s… she’s… gone! *cries into Terra’s arms*

Terra: Are you sure?

Ven couldn’t say more. He kept crying into Terra’s arms, until he was too weak to do anything. His temperature increased when he collapsed again. Terra could only cover him with blanket and dried his tears.

Terra: I really wish that I could help… but I’m just too useless to help the one who really needs me…

Even when he spent there the whole night, Ven’s tears didn’t dry. They only become worse. He didn’t cry tears anymore… he cried blood.

Chapter Ten: Meeting Someone You Know

 

Terra’s Report 4:

It’s been three days… since Ven almost gave me a heart attack twice in the same day.

The first time was when we were going home. He collapsed and fever returned. I knew I shouldn’t take him with me in lab, but he so wanted to go.

When he was lying with there with a fever, something even scarier happened. Ven suddenly got up, screaming and crying, like something terrible happened. I didn’t know what to do. He only said something about Aqua, I think that’s his Guardian, like she’s gone or something. Then he fell in sleep again, but his tears didn’t dry. They only turned in blood. I have never seen someone who cries blood. After seeing that I could make a new note about angels:

 

When angels are really upset or sad, they cry blood. Those are their feelings that are slipping away to calms them down. That only clears them from the pain.

 

Luckily, the next day went better. Ven’s tears dry up as well as his fever went down. But he’s still a bit weak, so I left him to rest for two more days.

Even was so annoying this morning. He called me for like eight times, yelling at me to come in the lab or he will personally came to my house and drag me in the lab. Man, I hate this over working guy. With no choice I went to lab, listening to his babbling and looking at his odd sketches. Then he finally said to bring him some coffee, cuz he needs a break ( I needed it too, phew ). But in the corridor I nearly bumped in Even’s kid – Ienzo. He was asking me about Ven, when he comes or if he’s ok. That really made me sad.

I knew Ienzo pretty well, even more than his crazy uncle. Kid was always very shy and he spent most of time in the room, reading books or studying. Even didn’t mind that, but I did. I knew Ienzo was always lonely, but Ven everything changed. I could clearly hear their conversation that day when they were together. Ienzo was so happy to finally be with a friend.

Now I could only told him that Ven needs to rest duo to his illness. Then he can come and play with him. Ienzo only nodded and went to his room.

When Even finally let me home, it was already dark. Ven was still resting, mumbling weird words.

Jeez that’s the longest report so far. I really need to go in bed or I’ll…

 

Terra fell in sleep on his desk before he could finish last sentence. He was a way to tired to do anything else.

 

In the morning Ven woke up. His fever finally left its site. He began looking for Terra and found him in his study, snoring on the desk.

 

Ven: *shaking Terra’s arm* Terra! Wake up! It’s morning and I’m hungry!!!

 

Terra only mumbled something.

 

Ven: *angrily* Fine! I’m gonna make a breakfast for myself!

 

While looking for food, Ven looked through the window. Everything was white.

 

Ven: *excited* Wow!!! How many stars fell down! It’s so… white! *looks to Terra* Think he won’t mind if I take a look around…

 

He put on the same coat, he wore on the day he visited lab. When he checked if his wings are hidden, he went out. Walking on the snow was very interesting for him. It was like walking on cold cotton or ice clouds. Soon after, he decided to go back in the house. While walking back he heard something in snow – capped bushes.

 

Ven: Who’s there? Can you hear me?

 

He carefully went to it, when something suddenly jumped on him….

 

 

 

After the fight with Braig, Aqua collapsed and fell into unknown world. Shielded by only her own wings, she landed somewhere near the town. It was a small town with a park in outer area, whiten by snow. Aqua crash landed in bushes, much away from houses, still unconsciousness. She was laying there as the snow was gently falling on her.

After some time pasted, she could opened her eyes. None was there. When she managed to move her arms, she took a cape from her bag to cover wings. Angels should never show their wings to normal people with a few exceptions.

She could also see the injuries. Both of her wings were full of metal shards, her arm was full of blood and she had the worst headache ever.

 

Aqua:*thinks* What should I do? If I stay here I’ll turn into an ice cube. I need to find the place where I can heal myself.

 

Suddenly she heard steps that were quiet and gentle. She hid deeper in the bushes and looked to the way where sound came from.

There was a boy with ruffled blond hair, dressed in a little too big coat. He seemed very happy and excited about the snow. But when she took deeper look on him again, she surprisingly drawled her breath.

The boy was no other than Ventus.

She couldn’t help herself, but jumping out the bushes and hugging him. She finally found him.

 

Aqua: Oh, Ven! I’m so happy to see you!!! Are you hurt? Did that creep do anything to harm you?

 

Boy only took a weird look on her.

 

Aqua: What’s the matter? Don’t you recognize me?

 

Suddenly another man came, wearing a coat as well along with a funny wool hat.

 

???: Where have you been? I been looking all morning for you! Don’t you ever do that again!

 

Boy jumped from Aqua’s hug and hid behind the man.

 

???: Who are you miss?

Aqua: I’m… I’m…

???: It’s ok. The important thing is that I finally found him. Thanks for the help, but why did you hug him? Do you know him?

Aqua: Yeah… he’s… my ward.

???: *surprisingly* Your ward? Are you sure?

Aqua: Of course I’m sure! Ven, it’s me Aqua!

 

Boy still stared on her, frightened.

 

???: I think you were mistaken. That’s my ward, Roxas.

Aqua: But, he looks just like Ven.

 

While she was talking girl appeared, wearing a little too big coat too. Boy named Roxas smiled and went to her. Together they went playing in the snow.

 

???: I’m sorry if you mistook Roxas for someone else. Is there anything that I can do to help you?

Aqua: Could you at least tell me where I’m? And who are you and who are these two? *shows on boy and girl*

???: Well, you’re in wor… I mean town called Twilight Town. I’m Axel and these two are Roxas and Xion.

 

Aqua couldn’t say a thing. She thought that she finally found Ven, but that wasn’t him. It was just regular kid, not a missing angel. As she was thinking about this, a tear drop slipped down to her cheek.

 

Aqua: It’s ok, I’ll be going now.

Axel: Wait! *sees injuries* What the hell happened to you?

Aqua: I was… I was…

Axel: Don’t say it, come with me! I’ll take care of you. *helps her walk* Xion, Roxas we’re going home.

Roxas and Xion: Ok…

 

After they arrived to Axel’s house, Xion and Roxas went to their room. Axel took Aqua to some other room. Axel took of his hat, revealing his red spiky hair and weird marks on his cheeks. Aqua immediately recognized them.

 

Aqua: *surprised* You’re… you’re banished black winged angel!!!

Axel: Yeah… I’m… and you’re Guardian white winged angel, aren’t you?

Aqua: Yeah, but how did you know?

Axel: I recognized your cape. But, let’s return to the main question. What happened to you? And what are you doing here? Tell from the begging and don’t worry. Those two can’t hear you, they’re watching tv.

Aqua: *sighs* About two weeks ago, one of my wards went missing. I went looking for him, but I meet the freak who kidnapped him. We had a rough fight and I was defeated. I crash landed here. And then I saw Ven… I mean Roxas… man, he looks just like him.

Axel: Tell me more about that freak.

Aqua: Black winged angel, long black hair, yellow eyes and… metal wings.

 

Axel went to her and gently removed the cape, to reveal her wings, stabbed by many metal shards.

 

Axel: So, you met Braig…

Aqua: You know him?

Axel: I did know him, before I was banished.

Aqua: What do you know about him? And why were you banished?

Axel: It’s a pretty long and freaky story. You still sure you wanna hear it?

Aqua: Absolutely.

Axel: Then I suggest you to sit down and show me your arm. You’re lucky that you survived Braig’s attack.

 

He opened the wardrobe and began looking for first aid. While looking for it, he was throwing other things from it, trying to find a little white box with red cross. He cursed a lot before finding it.

 

Axel: I’ll take care of the wings later, your arm and face comes first.

 

While washing the blood and curing the wounds, he told her his story.

 

Axel: As you may know, we blackwinged had a way more icky jobs than you. Following people just before they die, taking their stars and bla bla bla. I never really liked it duo to the job itself and some of my workmates. Yeah, you guessed right. Braig was one of them. He actually enjoyed when he was bringing those stars in emptiness. I hated that along with everything, especially about six years ago.

Aqua: What happened?

Axel: I needed to take stars of one young couple. The both died together in a car accident. That really made me sad. I even became sadder when I found out that they had two kids, twins. Yeah, those two are Xion and Roxas. They were just two years old when that happened. I wanted to take care of them, not leaving them as orphans. So, I talked by Master Black Winged himself. He only laughed when I told him that. But in the end he banished me, cuz I talked about things like that. I came here, hid my wings and adopted Roxas and Xion. Since then nothing unusual happen. Well, one girl fell from the sky. *smiles*

Aqua: *smiles too* Oh, you!

Axel: Well, now I suggest you to relax a bit. I haven’t used any magic for six years, but I think I can still use Painless spell. You know for the shards.

 

After that he prepared to cast it.

 

 

 

Ven screamed when something jumped on him. Luckily it was just a squirrel.

Story of Ven - The Fallen Angel is always in my head.

 

So much that I'm making little sketches of Ven in my notebooks during the class hours!!!

 

The first one was drawn during Biotechnology hour, when teacher was talking about stuff that I have already known from primary school. I kinda like this one... how's Venny peeping from that picture.

 

The next one was drawn during German hour ( where I completly suck ). Here I managed to draw wings too, hope you like it.

 

 

PS: Sorry if you thought that I posted the new chapter, but I will soon. The next two chapters will have christmas's theme!

Chapter Eleven: Snow

Ven was about to head back, when his back was hit by a snowball. He looked back, seeing Ienzo with another snowball.

Ienzo:*smiling* Gotcha!

Ven: Why did you do that for?

Ienzo: Don’t tell me you don’t know how to play snowballing either.

Ven: Is that some kind of game?

Ienzo: Yeah! You just make a ball from the snow and throw it into the other person. It doesn’t hurt much cuz balls are made from soft snow.

Ven did felt a bit pain. Snowball hit his wing, but either way he was happy to see Ienzo. Soon after they were both wildly play snowballing. In the end they were all wet from the snow.

Ven: That sure is a nice game!

Ienzo: Told you! Do you need a break? I could really use one.

Ven: Sure.

Kids went to the nearest bench and sat on it. For some time they were just looking on a bright white snow.

Ienzo: I missed you… Terra said you were sick… so I waited until you recover.

Ven: Yeah… I missed you too.

Ienzo: But you know the cool thing? Just three days before… Christmas!!!

Ven: Really? Oh…

Ienzo: What’s wrong?

Ven: I don’t know what I should give Terra for Calm… I mean Christmas.

Ienzo: Don’t worry. You still have some days left… but speaking of which… what’s that?

Despite the bright white snow, Ienzo noticed some white things in it. White feathers! They must have fallen off Ven’s wings during their snowballing game. Ienzo picked some of them when Ven turned completely pale.

Ienzo: Weird… I didn’t see any birds during the winter… Are you ok? You seem pale.

Ven:*trembles* No… I mean yes… I’m ok.

Ienzo: Are you sure? *looks on feathers again* Uncle showed me some feathers that looked exactly the same as those.

Ven:*turns towards Terra’s house* I think I should go home… or Terra will be worried. *is about to walk away*

Ienzo: Wait!

When Ienzo tried to pull his arm, he pulled his entire coat. Ven’s wings were completely revealed right in front of his friend.

Ienzo:*shocked* Ven… you’re… you’re an angel?

Ven quickly put the coat back. He sadly looked right in Ienzo’s staring eyes.

Ven:*sadly* Please! Don’t tell your uncle about it. If you do… Terra said something terrible will happen. Please, don’t tell anybody about this!

Ienzo first took a deep breath then slapped his face and looked at Ven again. Then he went slowly to him, touching his face and ruffling his hair. Angel only looked weirdly on him.

Ienzo: Sorry… I needed to check if I’m not dreaming… So you are real. Uncle told me many times that you exist, but I thought you’re just a fairytale.

Ven: No, we really are real. I just… ran away when somebody wanted to kidnapped me…then found myself here.

Ienzo: Wow! Can you tell me the whole story?

Ven: Maybe inside. It’s very cold here and… what are you doing here if I can ask?

Ienzo: You mean here? Oh, I wanted to play with you and I ask uncle if I can go visit you. He said yes, but only until the evening.

Ven: Great!

Together they went back to house, where Terra was still snoring.

Ven: *shakes Terra’s arm* Come on Terra! You’ve been sleeping for the whole morning! Wake up!

Terra: *mumbles something*

Ven: Terra! Ienzo came to visit! We need to make breakfast!

Terra: *finally wakes up* Um… what?

Ienzo: Hi.

Terra: *quickly stands up* Ienzo? What are you doing here?

Ienzo: I asked my uncle if I can go play with Ven and he said yes.

Terra: Well, that sure is nice. Wanna breakfast you two?

Ven and Ienzo: Yeah.

Terra stood up and went into kitchen along with the kids. He began putting things on the table while Ven was talking about their snowballing game.

Ven:*excited* … and then I threw snowball right into Ienzo’s face! *laughs along with Ienzo*

Terra: *making pancakes* Sounds nice. *turning pancake in the air*

Ienzo: Aren’t you gonna put your coat off? It’s pretty warm here…

Ven: I’m…

Terra quietly went to table, when Ven was about to remove his coat. He carefully looked into Ienzo’s staring eyes that were looking straight in Ven’s back.

Terra: *whispers* Does he know?

Ven: *sadly nods*

Terra sighed when he took coat from him. His wings were still bright white and soft. But when Ven looked down his wings folded. Ienzo and Terra both look at them with an interest. Terra could clearly remembered Ven’s words.

But I don’t know how to fly. I don’t even know how to move my wings.

But now, Ven was able to move them. Well one step forward for healing. Ienzo was still staring at them.

Ienzo: Do you know how to fly?

Ven: Not yet, but I’ll need to learn if want to go home.

Ienzo: Where do you live by the way?

Ven:*smiles* In Heaven. My friends and Guardian are still waiting for me. I don’t want to make them worry.

Terra:*interrupts* Ienzo… it’s very important to not tell Even about this? If you do, he’ll definitely take Ven and do terrible things to him. You have to keep that as a secret or your uncle will hurt Ven.

Ienzo: No way I’m telling him about that! He doesn’t care about me and in the end he’ll take my only friend!

After that was just silence. Terra put pancakes on the table and sat on chair. They all began eating, while Terra and Ven told the whole story to Ienzo.

 

Axel: Ok, just one more. *pulls the last metal shard from Aqua’s wing*

Aqua: Thank you so much Axel. I really don’t know, what I should do if I wouldn’t meet you.

Axel: *smiles* Glide to help. *takes bandages from first aid case*

Axel used almost two hours to take all the shards. Now he began to put bandages around her wounds.

Aqua: Where are those two kids?

Axel: You mean Xion and Roxas? They are still in their room, probably playing video games. This reminds me, I need to make dinner.

Aqua: I’ll help you.

Axel: You sure about that? What about your wing and arm?

Aqua: It’s ok I can help. What are you going to cook by the way?

Axel: Some noodles with a sauce. Do you know how to cook that?

Aqua: How do you think that I became a Guardian? I need to cook for myself and four wards three times a day!

Axel: Wow! You have four wards? I only have two and they already need to be watched over every minute. To think about four? Phew…

Aqua:*smiles* Yeah, but I had the feeling like I have only two of them. Sora and Riku always had their sword fights while Kairi and Ven quietly drew or read.

Axel: Yeah, Xion and Roxas are kinda like that too. They can be quiet or very noisy. Depends on what happens. *smiles* Like now… they’ll be very nice cuz they’re hungry. *remembers on something* And… oh yeah. I promised that we’ll decorate Christmas tree tonight. Man, I still need to get it from the woods.

Aqua: Don’t worry, I can make a dinner and you can get the Christmas tree.

Axel: That sure is a brilliant idea!*puts his coat on*

Aqua: But what if those to come to look?

Axel: Just say that you’re my girlfriend who came here for Christmas. *goes out while Aqua blushes* And don’t worry, they’ll believe any nonsense you’ll say.

Aqua began making dinner. While cooking the noodles she looked on the pictures on the wall. Most were of Roxas and Xion, during their childhood. While looking on Roxas she felt sad, cuz he reminded her on Ven. Xion also looked a bit like Kairi duo to the same hairstyle, but not same color.

She could also hear children’s footsteps when they both entered the kitchen. But they seem surprised when they saw Aqua in cape and not Axel.

Roxas: Who are you, miss?

Xion: And where’s Axel?

Aqua: He went to pick Christmas tree. And I’m Aqua… *embarrassingly* Axel’s girlfriend.

Kids smiled when she said the last sentence. But they didn’t mind that and sat at the table, waiting Aqua to make dinner.

When she has just cooked it, Axel came pulling huge Christmas tree. Kids went helping him while Aqua put food on the table.

While eating Roxas was telling about video game that he play with Xion. Axel was listening whole Roxas’s speech while Xion tried to talk with Aqua. Little girl really like Aqua, dou to her calm voice.

When they finally finished the dinner, they decided to decorate Christmas tree. Aqua agreed to clean kitchen during that. But Xion decided to help her, so only Roxas and Axel went to decorate it.

Xion: Are you really Axel’s girlfriend?

Aqua:*smiles* Yes and no.

Xion: What do you mean, I don’t understand?

Aqua: You’ll found out when you’ll be older.

Xion: Oh…

Remains of the cleaning were quiet. Xion didn’t want to be annoying so she just helped her clean and after that she dragged Aqua into living room where the Christmas tree was. It really looked beautiful with so many ornaments on it. Most of them were handmade, what reminds her on Ven on Kairi who always made homemade ornaments. Sora and Riku only helped a bit.

Her memories were broken by Roxas who tried to stick Christmas star on the top of the tree. He was a way to small for that.

Roxas:*jumps* I can’t reach it! *sadly* I’ll never made it… I’m too small.

Aqua: Let me help you.

She took him in her lap and lifted him right to the top. Boy smiled and put Christmas star on the top. When Aqua put him on ground he happily hugged her.

Roxas: Thank you so much! I couldn’t do it without you!

Aqua: It’s alright.

While having Roxas in hug she had a feeling like Ven is there. His small warm body and those ruffled blond hair. Soon Xion joined too and after some time even Axel did.

They all look like a one big happy family.
