Ghost 1,857 Posted August 24, 2013 Quota. Something tells me you get this a lot too? Ugh, firetrucking yeah. Like bitch (not you) if I firetrucking say no, then it's firetrucking no. I mean at least you gave the anime a SHOT, like I literally watched the noire first season of Hetalia and I hate it to death. "It gets better in the second s-" STOP RIGHT THE firetruck THERE. If we don't like it, we don't like it. I hate how some people can't grasp the fact that if someone doesn't like something they can't MAKE them like it. And I don't blame you for not forcing yourself to watch it! Like, why would anybody want to watch it if they don't enjoy it? I'd rather spend my time a better way watching something I love, like Yugioh. :3Some people just...are overly compelled to force their interests down other people's throats. If I don't like something, I won't keep going. It's pointless to waste my time on something I have a good idea I won't change my opinion on when I could be doing something I actually enjoy. The beginning of a TV show, anime, game, book, or whatever kind of media should hook the person who is reading/watching/playing, not bore them. It gives them a general idea of what's coming next. If they don't like the start, how the heck will they like anything after that?

I mean, I have nothing against a D, but I like average so much better. Anything bigger than a D just gets progressively more gross...
Col.Random 3,683 Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) Average sized boobs are better than giant boobs. Agreed. And it's really irritating when i see people look at a girl who doesn't have over-sized breast and call her flat, saying shit like "ermagerd who would tap that? she's flat" -_- Edited August 24, 2013 by Col.Random
Tigerruss 576 Posted August 24, 2013 I personally like TV series with some sort of overarching quest that has a supposed end to it to actually have an end to it. I don't want it to go on for ever, even if I like the characters a lot. Though I am not sure if that is an unpopular opinion. If they don't like the start, how the heck will they like anything after that? Because things get better as they go along. Go watch the pilot/unaired pilot of a tv show you like and count the differences between it and the show you know and love. One of the amazing things about writing, whether it be in a show or a game or a movie or a book, is that things develop in the story. And what develops later on might very well be what endears people to the show. For example... I love Doctor Who with all my being, but the first season of the new series was... really up and down. The first episode was just... wow. Like... it's wasn't bad so much as it was just... if I didn't know I had stuff to look forward to in the series, and I was just a bystander, then I wouldn't have watched anymore. Luckily, I knew that the series had better stuff to come, and it developed into being one of the things I cherish. I understand if you watched a whole season and then didn't like it. I understand if something about the show just repels you... like you can't stand the acting of the lead, or the actual content of the show in terms of what goes on throughout the whole thing is something you don't care about or don't agree with. But for the love of God, don't watch one episode or two and then give up. 1 mosokisa reacted to this

It's not just the story, the whole series was what bugged me. I hated the characters, especially the main character. Also, it's not exactly fun to force yourself through something you don't like, even if you keep telling yourself "It gets better later." 1 Ghost reacted to this

Dracozombie 4,554 Posted August 24, 2013 I don't care if something has "plot holes". I don't get the big deal. They make it a big deal because they expect their story to be perfect. Never mind any professionally-made story is usually under strict budgets and deadlines, with various internal and external factors that affect production quality, so filling in each and every gap in the story is unreasonable if not impossible. 3 Demyx., ErnestNow and mosokisa reacted to this
Tigerruss 576 Posted August 24, 2013 I don't care if something has "plot holes". I don't get the big deal. There are only three people who complain about plot holes, nitpickers, people who had their suspension of disbelief bursted by them, and people wondering how anyone could possibly like something so flawed. I guess the second and third group could be merged into one. And a lot of the times I will ignore plotholes if I can get an emotional attachment to characters.Though I must say something similar to your opinion. Those who say "THIS SUCKS IT HAS SO MANY PLOT HOLES!", and never give examples of these supposed "holes", annoy me so much. 1 Ghost reacted to this

But for the love of God, don't watch one episode or two and then give up. See, and I only give a movie/show a designated 15 minutes to hook my interest. It sounds meager, but honestly, the first 15 minutes is the most important part. It's either half of a half hour show, or one quarter of an hour long show, and if you can't garner my interest within that time, then you as a story teller aren't doing a very good job. Granted, I see your point with giving things a second chance ( which I have done with shows in the past, and in some cases being forgiving), but like Black Star said, I don't think the burden should be on the viewer. Other unpopular opinions: I don't like martial arts films. Honestly, I find them boring. 2 Lalalablah and Zola reacted to this

Shana09 5,769 Posted August 24, 2013 I kinda hate when people say "Oh, you just haven't seen enough of it." When I say I dislike something. I'll use Bleach as an example. Seriously, if I don't like the first 21 episodes of a series, I'm not gonna force myself through more of it. If it doesn't hook me at the start, I'm not keeping up with it. "Oh, you stopped right before the good part." Why didn't they just make the start good too? Bleach was kind of good, but then it went downhill after the first arc. Average sized boobs are better than giant boobs. Girls who want bigger boobs don't realize how much pain a person has to go through. I'm happy mines aren't that big and I find it weird everyone praise the big boobed lady with back pain. 1 Jilly Shears reacted to this

Hei 3,233 Posted August 24, 2013 I'm not entirely sure if this is even unpopular or not, but oh well. Anime filler sucks, a lot....like why can't they just go on hiatus instead of giving us lame filler stories? 1 mosokisa reacted to this
MyDixieRect 2,061 Posted August 25, 2013 (edited) I really wish police officers would the grammar into account. If I for one arrested some thug and he was all "Man, I ain't got nothing to do with it!", I'd respond "Double negative! So you did have something to do with it! Take 'I'm away boys!" and that will be that. Double negatives really grind my gears! Nothing worse than a thug with poor communication skills. 'Ain't got nothing' oh please! I don't care if something has "plot holes". I don't get the big deal.I don't mind them for the most part but some series *coughNarutocough* really have a field day with their amount of plot holes. When you create a plot hole so big that it destroys the entire story so that it makes no sense and the only way to fix it would be to start again then I consider that very poor writing of which I'm not a fan.
