The Unpopular Opinions Thread

well the fact that the younger generation plays those games isn't entirely the game developer's fault. It's usually parents who are to blame for letting their kids get games that aren't suitable for their age.Plus, I kinda like FPS games solely because I'm one of the many guys who are interested in military stuff and, to some of us, that's just about the closest we get to having the military life. But yeah, games with a good plot should always have the most support/love though

1> Never blamed developers for target audience

2> I understand you, but think it this way: Kids who are below our age might basically get the wrong idea. I'm no fortunologist or shit nor can i predict children such as myself, but just sayin.

This reminds me of something. I feel that a lot of FPS have blurred this generation's outlook on war. A Sesame Street episode is more close to the reality of war than a COD game.

Man of steel could've been better? The actor who played Lois just annoyed me a lot and it idk messed up the movie for me I guess. I did like it, just could've been better?

Larry stylinson is REAL. If you think Louis is in love with el then you are blind, how can you not see the way they look at each and the way they smile when they're together or the way they get upset when one of them are with their fake girlfriends? They're in love and I have no shame for believing it.

It really annoys me how a lot of people hate how school don't let girls wear what they want to wear but yet they don't do much about it, they just whine about it, very few people do something about it.

I'm so sick of men ( not all, I'm mainly talking about male singers. ) sing/rap about firetrucking women and leaving them and having a bunch of girlfriends but say they treat women with respect. I don't see any respect when you sing about firetrucking somebody then leaving them.

You respect women? Stop singing/rapping about having sex with them and shit.

Rant done. Sorry for misspelled words or anything, I'm on a iPhone.

Your not talking about singers.

Your talking about rappers.

More or less quoted from Tumblr but meh.

Dress codes in schools has to be one of the stupidest set of guidelines I can think of. Instead of insinuating that women are inherent sluts because they're wearing spaghetti straps or short shorts, why not teach the guys something miraculous like self-control? Because if you can't control your dick for a few seconds based on the fact you saw a shoulder or a lot of thigh, that tells me you're a danger to society and you need to be locked up.

Whew... Harsh.

We can't help it.

It's our teenage hormones.

It's not like we WANT what happens to happen.... To be honest it is something you very much try to avoid being a guy, at school especially... ESPECIALLY if your wearing shorts. I won't get to into that, but yeah.

...Believe me, if there was an on and off switch for hormones, I would keep that shit off in school at all times. It's almost cruel really.

Idk I feel like if two people love each other as much as they say they do then they wouldn't be telling everybody about it. I get it you two are dating, but why not keep it to yourself? Doesn't it feel more satisfying when certain things are kept only between the two of you? I've only been in a few relationships but like just display your love to EACHOTHER and not everyone else around you. Unless I mean you're into that sort of thing...

There's always that one desperate girl in school who's like "Have you seen my boyfriend???" and purposely uses "boyfriend" as the pronoun

Like bitch I don't know who your boyfriend is it'd kinda help if you gave me a name. This one time a girl asked me that, so I answered with what I thought was her boyfriend's name, before she revealed to me that she's no longer dating him but somebody else. Waaaaat that was within a week too???

Yeah, I hate that too... I don't know exactly what it is, but I just really like my relationship to be in between my partner and myself... Instead of posting a hundred firetrucking Facebook posts letting EVERYONE know EVERYTHING that happens between us. Even if she means good, like saying how great I am or something to her friends and what not. It's like "I like YOU. I don't want to feel obligated to meet every friend you have, and your friend's friends, and your friend's friend's friends." I've tried telling some girls i've been with this, not in a mean way, but it seems it's a delicate subject, because they always take it the wrong way and get offended so I say firetruck it and just go with it. It brings so much unnesassary drama. It's even worse if you break up with them... I'm a very easy going person most of the time, but I hate it when people get in my buisness, especially when it's relationship related, when they know NOTHING of what they're talking about. Urgh.

I might have gotten carried away with what I said... Made this long as hell.

But Women have horomones too and Men are able to go shirtless in many public places. Where as if a female shows a tiny bit of skin it's considered "sluty".If Women can control themselves then why can't men?

I think women are more called sluts because other women call other women sluts. You don't see men calling other men "whores" or "sluts". I think it's because as girls we're always so competitive with each other, I mean look at Smurfette for christ's sake. I say girls - anybody, actually - should be able to wear what they wear so long as it makes them feel truly happy, beautiful, and confident in themselves. Someone could argue and say, "you shouldn't wear anything offensive!" Yeah well to those bitches, pretty much ANYTHING can be offensive to anyone. But I think as girls we need to be more together and supportive of each other. That's it.

This.

The gender that I have saw that abuse the word "slut" is actually females.

After hanging out with a bunch of guys, I started to hang out with more girls and what do I hear at least once out of their mouths? Slut. Either to someone they hate or someone who is wearing revealing clothes.

It's really the female gender who slut shame more, some guys like those stuff, some guys don't care, some guys DO slut shame, but the whole female gender seems like they are playing survival for the fittest by insulting each other if they have revealing clothes, AND if sometimes they wear the same type of clothes and they are called sluts they say it's just clothes. I'm just very confused how that logic works.

Men have more rights so it's no surprise they don't call each other whores ore sluts.

Also, my statement had almost nothing to do with who calls them whores or sluts, it's the fact that it's apparently seen as "sluty" and men can't control themselves.

Well you're talking about things that have just been seen as indecent over many, many years. Men could work the fields, under the heat shirtless and support a family but for women that sort of thing would have just been seen as indecent. If you want to start a movement letting women walk around topless that's fine, you could do it and I'm sure you'd have many supporters, but I can't think of how many would comply. So what if your statement had nothing to do with that? I was just adding to it. And who are you saying it's seen as "slutty" by? Everyone views things differently, what I call pretty my friend could call hooker - beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The other day I went to buy these boots and my friend was like "whoa, those are hooker boots". Everyone just has unique taste, I guess :P Ended up not buyin them boots because they didn't have my big-ass size :,)

The School system is the one I was referring to. It is seen as "sluty" in many other forms of society as well however.

Well in school they don't want anyone to feel "distracted"Which is obvious bullshit but what're you gonna do. I know schools vary slightly and all, but in my school they banned guys from wearing halter tops...GUYS.Like wait, what-I think it's just a comfort issue. Not sure where you live but around here there's always girls getting into rights, earrings flying, shirts going up. It's not just men. Think of also the older female instructors who think the modern clothing is "indecent" in some way or another. Now don't get me wrong I'm not taking men off the hook, I'm just saying. And the guys in my school get picked on for their clothes more than the girls, LOL. The guys wear their pants so low you can see the boxers...it's funny. There was a study shown that kids who go to schools where they're required to wear uniforms were significantly more attentive than kids in schools who aren't. I think it's because we're so much more focused on how we look, how our clothes are fitting, if our undergarments are showing etc.

Hmm...

You have a good point and I honestly don't know. I think men usually produce like 10x more testosterone than women though, it could be that.

I personally don't care what anyone wears.

I know I can count on Koko to be their whenever I say something that may be questionable to some people, to blow what I said completely out of context and insult me in the process. Thanks.Your like that annoying fly that firetrucks with you while your trying to sleep.I wasn't just talking about "Popping a boner"... Look before you leap. I'm talking about the distraction in general it COULD have for guys.I don't suppose you get the part when I said "MOST guys have higher levels of testosterone than women" did you? "Most" is the key word here, love.I don't know where the hell you live, but where I live 90% of all the women here wear tank tops, shorts and all that, and it's encouraged. My school doesn't even have a dress code. The definition of the word "Slut" here is aimed towards women who are sex crazy, not because what they're wearing... I mean come on that's stupid as shit. You fall back on society teaching us all these dumb things, to "Not be able to control ourselves" when it's firetrucking instinct. It's not anything about society, men have been like this since the dawn of time, ESPECIALY during teenage years.I'm not going to get into this AGAIN with you on a firetrucking website forum thread. So that's all I had to say. Move on to the next person to explain your views on society over and over to the point of ridiculousness.I think I'll go do something productive. Maybe "Pop a boner" while i'm at it.Bye.

I love you.

I wonder whatever happened to the original guidelines of this thread :(

First off

Posted Image

Meaning you more than likely will find an opinion that offends you in this thread. So, exit out if you are easily butthurt.

Now, this thread is to express opinions you have that aren't exactly popular.

There will be no debates or arguing.

Post your opinion and move on.

You may post an opinion in response to another, but no full blown arguing and trying to convince someone that your opinion is 'right'

This is not a thread for debate, just for opinions.

So keep calm and carry on.

ALSO DO NOT USE OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE WHEN EXPRESSING YOUR OPINION

KNOW YOUR BOUNDARIES

As for my unpopular opinion:

I believe that women should be allowed to wear whatever they want, hell the should be able to shirtless if guys can too, and not be called sluts. They should be able to sleep with who they want, WHEN they want. They aren't hurting you or anyone else so why make them feel bad and call them sluts.

It's not your life and it isn't your business. No need to make someone feel horrid.

...Well for my unpopular opinion I actually really really really don't want a new system. (Well okay maybe this is popular) I don't know, the PS3 and Xbox are still pretty..."new" to me. I mean obviously the Wii isn't, since Nintendo can't come up with any new ideas to save their company, but eh. I reaaaaaaaaaaaally do not want to by the new play station or Xbox. I don't care how amazing some of the games look I just *really* do not want it.

But since my brother's a spoiled brat and won't listen to a word I say when I tell him not to get my of the new systems because they're gonna suck, he'll probably whine about it to my parents anyways. Aaaaaand one more year til I get to move out.
